1 Os chefes de família dos levitas vieram ter com o sacerdote Eleazar, com Josué, filho de Nun, e com os chefes de família das tribos israelitas,	1 And the leaders of the families of Levi approached Eleazar, the priest, and Joshua, the son of Nun, and the rulers of the extended families of each of the tribes of the sons of Israel.
2 e disseram-lhes em Silo, na terra de Canaã: O Senhor ordenou por Moisés que se nos dessem cidades para habitarmos, e juntamente seus arredores para nossos animais.	2 And they spoke to them at Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, and they said, “The Lord instructed, by the hand of Moses, that cities should be given to us as habitations, with their suburbs to nourish our cattle.”
3 E os israelitas deram, pois, de suas possessões, as seguintes cidades com seus arrabaldes aos levitas, segundo a ordem do Senhor:	3 And so the sons of Israel gave cities and their suburbs from their possessions, in accord with the order of the Lord.
4 A sorte foi lançada para as famílias dos caatitas; e os levitas, filhos do sacerdote Aarão, obtiveram por sorte treze cidades das tribos de Judá, de Simeão e de Benjamim;	4 And the lot went out for the family of Kohath, of the sons of Aaron, the priest, from the tribes of Judah and Simeon and Benjamin: thirteen cities.
5 os outros filhos de Caat obtiveram por sorte dez cidades das famílias das tribos de Efraim, de Dã e da meia tribo de Manassés.	5 And to the remainder of the sons of Kohath, that is, to the Levites who were left over, there went, from the tribes of Ephraim and Dan, and from the one half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6 Tocaram por sorte aos filhos de Gérson treze cidades das famílias das tribos de Issacar, de Aser, de Neftali e da meia tribo de Manassés em Basã.	6 And next the lot went out to the sons of Gershon, so that they would receive, from the tribes of Issachar and Asher and Naphtali, and from the one half tribe of Manasseh at Bashan: the number of thirteen cities.
7 Os filhos de Merari, segundo suas famílias, obtiveram doze cidades das tribos de Rubem, de Gad e de Zabulon.	7 And to the sons of Merari, by their families, from the tribes of Reuben and Gad and Zebulun, there went twelve cities.
8 Os israelitas deram aos levitas essas cidades com seus arrabaldes, repartindo-as por sorte, como o Senhor tinha ordenado por Moisés.	8 And so the sons of Israel gave cities and their suburbs to the Levites, just as the Lord instructed by the hand of Moses, distributing to each by lot.
9 Da tribo dos juditas e da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, deram as cidades cujos nomes seguem.	9 From the tribes of the sons of Judah and Simeon, Joshua gave cities, whose names are these:

20 Os levitas das outras famílias dos filhos de Caat receberam por sorte cidades da tribo de Efraim.	20 Yet truly, the remainder of the families of the sons of Kohath, of the stock of Levi, were given this possession:

25 Da meia tribo de Manassés: Tanac e seus arredores, Get-Remon e seus arredores; duas cidades.	25 then, from the one half tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and Gath-Rimmon, with their suburbs, two cities.
26 Total: dez cidades com seus arredores para as famílias dos outros filhos de Caat.	26 All the cities were ten, with their suburbs; these were given to the sons of Kohath, of the lesser degree.

41 Total das cidades dos levitas no meio das possessões dos israelitas: quarenta e oito cidades com seus arredores.	41 And the Lord God gave to Israel all the land that he had sworn he would deliver to their fathers. And they possessed it, and they lived in it.
42 Cada uma dessas cidades tinha os seus arrabaldes ao redor: assim foi com todas as cidades.	42 And he gave them peace with all the surrounding nations. And none of their enemies dared to stand against them; instead, they were brought under their sovereignty.
43 Foi assim que o Senhor deu a Israel toda a terra que ele tinha jurado dar a seus pais. Eles possuíram-na e estabeleceram-se nela.	43 Indeed, not so much as one word that he had promised to provide for them was left empty; instead, everything was fulfilled.
44 E o Senhor deu-lhes repouso em todo o derredor de sua terra, como tinha jurado a seus pais; nenhum dos seus inimigos pôde resistir-lhes, pois o Senhor entregou-os todos nas suas mãos.
45 Não falhou nenhuma de todas as boas palavras que o Senhor tinha dito a Israel. Todas se cumpriram.
