1 Os chefes de família dos levitas vieram ter com o sacerdote Eleazar, com Josué, filho de Nun, e com os chefes de família das tribos israelitas,	1 The heads of the Levite families came up to Eleazar the priest, to Joshua, son of Nun, and to the heads of families of the other tribes of the Israelites
2 e disseram-lhes em Silo, na terra de Canaã: O Senhor ordenou por Moisés que se nos dessem cidades para habitarmos, e juntamente seus arredores para nossos animais.	2 at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, and said to them, "The LORD commanded, through Moses, that cities be given us to dwell in, with pasture lands for our livestock."
3 E os israelitas deram, pois, de suas possessões, as seguintes cidades com seus arrabaldes aos levitas, segundo a ordem do Senhor:	3 Out of their own heritage, in obedience to this command of the LORD, the Israelites gave the Levites the following cities with their pasture lands.
4 A sorte foi lançada para as famílias dos caatitas; e os levitas, filhos do sacerdote Aarão, obtiveram por sorte treze cidades das tribos de Judá, de Simeão e de Benjamim;	4 When the first lot among the Levites fell to the clans of the Kohathites, the descendants of Aaron the priest obtained thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Judah, Simeon and Benjamin.
5 os outros filhos de Caat obtiveram por sorte dez cidades das famílias das tribos de Efraim, de Dã e da meia tribo de Manassés.	5 The rest of the Kohathites obtained ten cities by lot from the clans of the tribe of Ephraim, from the tribe of Dan, and from the half-tribe of Manasseh.
6 Tocaram por sorte aos filhos de Gérson treze cidades das famílias das tribos de Issacar, de Aser, de Neftali e da meia tribo de Manassés em Basã.	6 The Gershonites obtained thirteen cities by lot from the clans of the tribe of Issachar, from the tribe of Asher, from the tribe of Naphtali, and from the half-tribe of Manasseh.
7 Os filhos de Merari, segundo suas famílias, obtiveram doze cidades das tribos de Rubem, de Gad e de Zabulon.	7 The clans of the Merarites obtained twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad and Zebulun.
8 Os israelitas deram aos levitas essas cidades com seus arrabaldes, repartindo-as por sorte, como o Senhor tinha ordenado por Moisés.	8 These cities with their pasture lands the Israelites allotted to the Levites in obedience to the LORD'S command through Moses.
9 Da tribo dos juditas e da tribo dos filhos de Simeão, deram as cidades cujos nomes seguem.	9 From the tribes of the Judahites and Simeonites they designated the following cities,
10 Elas.foram dadas aos filhos de Aarão dentre as famílias dos caatitas, filhos de Levi, a quem caiu a primeira sorte.	10 and assigned them to the descendants of Aaron in the Kohathite clan of the Levites, since the first lot fell to them:

15 Holon e seus arredores, Dabir e seus arredores,	15 Holon with its pasture lands, Debir with its pasture lands,
16 Ain e seus arredores, Jeta e seus arredores, Betsames e seus arredores; nove cidades dessas duas tribos.	16 Ashan with its pasture lands, Juttah with its pasture lands, and Beth-shemesh with its pasture lands: nine cities from the two tribes mentioned.
17 Da tribo de Benjamim deram-lhes Gabaon e seus arredores,	17 From the tribe of Benjamin they obtained the four cities of Gibeon with its pasture lands, Geba with its pasture lands,
18 Gabaa e seus arredores, Anatot e seus arredores, Almon e seus arredores; quatro cidades.	18 Anathoth with its pasture lands, and Almon with its pasture lands.
19 Total das cidades dos sacerdotes, filhos de Aarão: treze cidades com seus arredores.	19 These cities which with their pasture lands belonged to the priestly descendants of Aaron, were thirteen in all.
20 Os levitas das outras famílias dos filhos de Caat receberam por sorte cidades da tribo de Efraim.	20 The rest of the Kohathite clans among the Levites obtained by lot, from the tribe of Ephraim, four cities.
21 Deram-lhes Siquém, cidade de refúgio para o homicida, e seus arredores, na montanha de Efraim, Geser e seus arredores,	21 They were assigned, with its pasture lands, the city of asylum for homicides at Shechem in the mountain region of Ephraim; also Gezer with its pasture lands,
22 Gibsaim e seus arredores, Betoron e seus arredores; quatro cidades.	22 Kibzaim with its pasture lands, and Beth-horon with its pasture lands.
23 Da tribo de Dã, foram-lhes dadas Elteco e seus arredores,	23 From the tribe of Dan they obtained the four cities of Elteke with its pasture lands, Gibbethon with its pasture lands,
24 Gabaton e seus arredores, Ajalon e seus arredores, Get-Remon e seus arredores; quatro cidades.	24 Aijalon with its pasture lands, and Gath-rimmon with its pasture lands;
25 Da meia tribo de Manassés: Tanac e seus arredores, Get-Remon e seus arredores; duas cidades.	25 and from the half-tribe of Manasseh the two cities of Taanach with its pasture lands and Ibleam with its pasture lands.
26 Total: dez cidades com seus arredores para as famílias dos outros filhos de Caat.	26 These cities which with their pasture lands belonged to the rest of the Kohathite clans were ten in all.
27 Aos filhos de Gérson, uma das famílias de Levi, foram dadas da meia tribo de Manassés: Gaulon, cidade de refúgio para o homicida, em Basã, com seus arredores, e Bosra com seus arredores; duas cidades.	27 The Gershonite clan of the Levites received from the half-tribe of Manasseh two cities: the city of asylum for homicides at Golan, with its pasture lands; and also Beth-ashtaroth with its pasture lands.
28 Da tribo de Issacar, Cesion e seus arredores, Daberet e seus arredores,	28 From the tribe of Issachar they obtained the four cities of Kishion with its pasture lands, Daberath with its pasture lands,
29 Jaramote seus arredores, En-Gamin e seus, arredores; quatro cidades.	29 Jarmuth with its pasture lands, and En-gannim with its pasture lands; from the tribe of Asher,
30 Da tribo de Aser, Masal e seus arredores, Abdon e seus arredores,	30 the four cities of Mishal with its pasture lands, Abdon with its pasture lands,
31 Helcat e seus arredores, Roob e seus arredores; quatro cidades.	31 Helkath with its pasture lands, and Rehob with its pasture lands;
32 Da tribo de Neftali, Cedes na Galiléia, cidade de refúgio para o homicida, e seus arredores, Hamat-Dor e seus arredores. Cartã e seus arredores; três cidades.	32 and from the tribe of Naphtali, three cities: the city of asylum for homicides at Kedesh in Galilee, with its pasture lands; also Hammath with its pasture lands, and Rakkath with its pasture lands.
33 Total das cidades dos gersonitas segundo suas famílias: treze cidades com seus arredores.	33 These cities which with their pasture lands belonged to the Gershonite clans were thirteen in all.
34 Às famílias dos filhos de Merari, o resto dos levitas, deram, da tribo de Zabulon, Jecnão e seus arredores, Carta e seus arredores,	34 The Merarite clans, the last of the Levites, received from the tribe of Zebulun the four cities of Jokneam with its pasture lands, Kartah with its pasture lands,
35 Damna e seus arredores, Naalol e seus arredores; quatro cidades;	35 Rimmon with its pasture lands, and Nahalal with its pasture lands;
36 da tribo de Rubem, Basor e seus arredores, Jassa e seus arredores,	36 also, across the Jordan, from the tribe of Reuben, four cities: the city of asylum for homicides at Bezer with its pasture lands, Jahaz with its pasture lands,
37 Cedemot e seus arredores, Mefaat e seus arredores; quatro cidades.	37 Kedemoth with its pasture lands, and Mephaath with its pasture lands;
38 Da tribo de Gad: a cidade de refúgio para o homicida, Ramot em Galaad e seus arredores, Manaim e seus arredores,	38 and from the tribe of Gad a total of four cities: the city of asylum for homicides at Ramoth in Gilead with its pasture lands, also Mahanaim with its pasture lands,
39 Hesebon e seus arredores, Jaser e seus arredores; ao todo, quatro cidades.	39 Heshbon with its pasture lands, and Jazer with its pasture lands.
40 Total das cidades dadas por sorte aos filhos de Merari segundo suas famílias, que formavam o resto dos levitas: doze cidades.	40 The cities which were allotted to the Merarite clans, the last of the Levites, were therefore twelve in all.
41 Total das cidades dos levitas no meio das possessões dos israelitas: quarenta e oito cidades com seus arredores.	41 Thus the total number of cities within the territory of the Israelites which, with their pasture lands, belonged to the Levites, was forty-eight.
42 Cada uma dessas cidades tinha os seus arrabaldes ao redor: assim foi com todas as cidades.	42 With each and every one of these cities went the pasture lands round about it.
43 Foi assim que o Senhor deu a Israel toda a terra que ele tinha jurado dar a seus pais. Eles possuíram-na e estabeleceram-se nela.	43 And so the LORD gave Israel all the land he had sworn to their fathers he would give them. Once they had conquered and occupied it,
44 E o Senhor deu-lhes repouso em todo o derredor de sua terra, como tinha jurado a seus pais; nenhum dos seus inimigos pôde resistir-lhes, pois o Senhor entregou-os todos nas suas mãos.	44 the LORD gave them peace on every side, just as he had promised their fathers. Not one of their enemies could withstand them; the LORD brought all their enemies under their power.
45 Não falhou nenhuma de todas as boas palavras que o Senhor tinha dito a Israel. Todas se cumpriram.	45 Not a single promise that the LORD made to the house of Israel was broken; every one was fulfilled.
