1 Cântico das subidas. De Davide. Eu me alegrei, porque me disseram: "Iremos à casa do Senhor."	1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 Já os nossos pés param às tuas portas, ó Jerusalém.	2 My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
3 Jerusalém, que está edificada como uma cidade, toda em si compacta.	3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Lá sobem as tribos, as tribos do Senhor, segundo a lei de Israel, para louvar o nome do Senhor.	4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 Lá se estabeleceram as sedes da justiça, as sedes da casa de Davide.	5 The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 Pedi (a Deus) graças de paz para Jerusalém; aqueles que te amam (ó cidade santa) vivam em segurança!	6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 Reine a paz dentro dos teus muros, segurança nos teus palácios!	7 The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 Por causa dos meus irmãos e dos meus companheiros; direi: Haja paz em ti!	8 The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
9 Por amor da casa do Senhor, nosso Deus, pedirei todo o bem para ti.
