2 If, truly and certainly, you speak justice, then judge what is right, you sons of men.	2 Pietà di me, pietà di me, o Dio, in te mi rifugio; mi rifugio all'ombra delle tue ali finché sia passato il pericolo.
3 For, even in your heart, you work iniquity. Your hands construct injustice on the earth.	3 Invocherò Dio, l'Altissimo, Dio che mi fa il bene.
4 Sinners have become foreigners from the womb; they have gone astray from conception. They have been speaking falsehoods.	4 Mandi dal cielo a salvarmi dalla mano dei miei persecutori, Dio mandi la sua fedeltà e la sua grazia.
5 Their fury is similar to that of a serpent; it is like a deaf asp, who even blocks her ears,	5 Io sono come in mezzo a leoni, che divorano gli uomini; i loro denti sono lance e frecce, la loro lingua spada affilata.
6 who will not listen to the voice of charmers, nor even to the enchanter who chants wisely.	6 Innàlzati sopra il cielo, o Dio, su tutta la terra la tua gloria.
7 God will crush their teeth within their own mouth. The Lord will break the molars of the lions.	7 Hanno teso una rete ai miei piedi, mi hanno piegato, hanno scavato davanti a me una fossa e vi sono caduti.
8 They will come to nothing, like water flowing away. He has aimed his bow, while they are being weakened.	8 Saldo è il mio cuore, o Dio, saldo è il mio cuore.
9 Like wax that flows, they will be carried away. Fire has fallen upon them, and they will not see the sun.	9 Voglio cantare, a te voglio inneggiare: svègliati, mio cuore, svègliati arpa, cetra, voglio svegliare l'aurora.
10 Before your thorns could know the brier, he consumes them alive, as if in rage.	10 Ti loderò tra i popoli, Signore, a te canterò inni tra le genti.
11 The just one will rejoice when he sees vindication. He will wash his hands in the blood of the sinner.	11 perché la tua bontà è grande fino ai cieli, e la tua fedeltà fino alle nubi.
12 And man will say, “If the just one is fruitful, then, truly, there is a God judging them on earth.”	12 Innàlzati sopra il cielo, o Dio, su tutta la terra la tua gloria.
