Psalms 96

CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN	NOVA VULGATA
1 This is to David, when his land was restored to him. The Lord has reigned, let the earth exult. Let the many islands rejoice.	1 Cantate Domino canticum novum, cantate Domino, omnis terra.
2 Clouds and mist are all around him. Justice and judgment are corrections from his throne.	2 Cantate Domino, benedicite nomini eius, annuntiate de die in diem salutare eius.
3 A fire will precede him, and it will enflame his enemies all around.	3 Annuntiate inter gentes gloriam eius, in omnibus populis mirabilia eius.
4 His lightnings have enlightened the whole world. The earth saw, and it was shaken.	4 Quoniam magnus Dominus et laudabilis nimis, terribilis est super omnes deos.
5 The mountains flowed like wax before the face of the Lord, before the face of the Lord of all the earth.	5 Quoniam omnes dii gentium inania, Dominus autem caelos fecit.
6 The heavens announced his justice, and all peoples saw his glory.	6 Magnificentia et pulchritudo in conspectu eius, potentia et decor in sanctuario eius.
7 May all those who adore graven images be confounded, along with those who glory in their false images. All you his Angels: Adore him.	7 Afferte Domino, familiae populorum, afferte Domino gloriam et potentiam,
8 Zion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Judah exulted because of your judgments, O Lord.	8 afferte Domino gloriam nominis eius. Tollite hostias et introite in atria eius,
9 For you are the Most High Lord over all the earth. You are greatly exalted above all gods.	9 adorate Dominum in splendore sancto. Contremiscite a facie eius, universa terra;
10 You who love the Lord: hate evil. The Lord watches over the souls of his holy ones. He will free them from the hand of the sinner.	10 dicite in gentibus: “ Dominus regnavit! ”. Etenim correxit orbem terrae, qui non commovebitur; iudicabit populos in aequitate.
11 The light has risen for the just, and joy for the upright of heart.	11 Laetentur caeli, et exsultet terra, sonet mare et plenitudo eius;
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you just ones, and confess to the memory of his sanctuary.	12 gaudebunt campi et omnia, quae in eis sunt. Tunc exsultabunt omnia ligna silvarum
	13 a facie Domini, quia venit, quoniam venit iudicare terram. Iudicabit orbem terrae in iustitia et populos in veritate sua.
