Psalms 96

CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 This is to David, when his land was restored to him. The Lord has reigned, let the earth exult. Let the many islands rejoice.	1 Canten al Señor un canto nuevo, cante al Señor toda la tierra;
2 Clouds and mist are all around him. Justice and judgment are corrections from his throne.	2 canten al Señor, bendigan su Nombre, día tras día, proclamen su victoria.
3 A fire will precede him, and it will enflame his enemies all around.	3 Anuncien su gloria entre las naciones, y sus maravillas entre los pueblos.
4 His lightnings have enlightened the whole world. The earth saw, and it was shaken.	4 Porque el Señor es grande y muy digno de alabanza, más temible que todos los dioses.
5 The mountains flowed like wax before the face of the Lord, before the face of the Lord of all the earth.	5 Los dioses de los pueblos no son más que apariencia, pero el Señor hizo el cielo;
6 The heavens announced his justice, and all peoples saw his glory.	6 en su presencia hay esplendor y majestad, en su Santuario, poder y hermosura.
7 May all those who adore graven images be confounded, along with those who glory in their false images. All you his Angels: Adore him.	7 Aclamen al Señor, familias de los pueblos, aclamen la gloria y el poder del Señor;
8 Zion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Judah exulted because of your judgments, O Lord.	8 aclamen la gloria del nombre del Señor. Entren en sus atrios trayendo una ofrenda,
9 For you are the Most High Lord over all the earth. You are greatly exalted above all gods.	9 adoren al Señor al manifestarse su santidad: ¡que toda la tierra tiemble ante él!
10 You who love the Lord: hate evil. The Lord watches over the souls of his holy ones. He will free them from the hand of the sinner.	10 Digan entre las naciones: «¡el Señor reina! El mundo está firme y no vacilará. El Señor juzgará a los pueblos con rectitud».
11 The light has risen for the just, and joy for the upright of heart.	11 Alégrese el cielo y exulte la tierra, resuene el mar y todo lo que hay en él;
12 Rejoice in the Lord, you just ones, and confess to the memory of his sanctuary.	12 regocíjese el campo con todos sus frutos, griten de gozo los árboles del bosque.
	13 Griten de gozo delante del Señor, porque él viene a gobernar la tierra: él gobernará al mundo con justicia, y a los pueblos con su verdad.
