Proverbi 2

BIBBIA VOLGARE	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Figliuolo mio, se tu accettarai i miei parlari, e i miei precetti asconderai appresso a te,	1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 [acciò] che le tue orecchie audano la sapienza; inclina il cor tno a cognoscer la prudenza.	2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Se tu invocherai la sapienza, e chinerai il cor tuo alla prudenza;	3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 se tu la cercherai, come si cerca la pecunia, e caverai quella, come si cavano i tesori;	4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 allora intenderai lo timore del Signore, e la scienza di Dio troverai.	5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 Per che il Signore dà la sapienza; e dalla bocca sua procede la scienza e prudenza.	6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 Custodirà la salute degli uomini retti, e defenderà quelli vivono con simplicitade,	7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 quello il quale serva le vie della giustizia e le vie de' santi.	8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 Allora intenderai la giustizia, il giudicio, e la equitade e ogni buona via.	9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10 Se la sapienza intrarà nel cuor tuo, e se la scienza piacerà all' anima tua,	10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 il consiglio ti custodirà, la prudenza ti salverà,	11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 per tal modo che tu sarai liberato dalla mala via, e dagli uomini adulatori e detrattori;	12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 i quali abbandonano la via retta, e vanno per le vie tenebrose;	13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 i quali si rallegrano quando hanno fatto male, e fanno festa nelle pessime operazioni;	14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 de' quali le vie sono perverse, e la vita loro infame.	15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16 Acciò che tu sia liberato della femina strana, e mogliere d'altrui, la qual persuade con dolci parole,	16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 e abbandona quello che la guberna (cioè il marito suo),	17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 ed èssi dimenticata del comandamento di Dio; la casa sua è inclinata alla morte, e le vie sue allo inferno.	18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 Tutti quelli intrano a quella, non torneranno, nè si accosteranno alle vie della vita.	19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 Acciò che tu vadi per la buona via; e sèguiti le operazioni degli uomini giusti.	20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 Per che quelli, che sono retti, abiteranno nella terra, e gli simplici rimarranno in essa.	21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 Ma gli empii si perderanno della terra; e quelli iniquamente òperano, si torranno. da quella.	22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
