1 Pour la fin, pour les pressoirs, psaume de Asaph.	1 Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.
2 Tressaillez d'allégresse en Dieu notre protecteur; * chantez avec transport en l'honneur du Dieu de Jacob.	2 Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
3 Entonnez le cantique, et faites résonner le tambourin, * le psaltérion harmonieux, avec la harpe.	3 Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
4 Sonnez de la trompette à la néoménie, * au jour insigne de Votre solennité.	4 For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
5 Car c'est un précepte pour Israël, * et une ordonnance du Dieu de Jacob.	5 This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
6 Il en fit un statut pour Joseph, lorsqu'il sortait de la terre d'Egypte;* il entendit une langue qu'il ne connaissait pas.	6 I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
7 Il a déchargé ses épaules des fardeaux; ses mains portèrent la corbeille.	7 Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
8 Dans la tribulation tu M'as invoqué, et Je t'ai délivré. * Je t'ai exaucé du sein de la tempête; Je t'ai éprouvé auprès des eaux de contradiction.	8 Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
9 Ecoute, Mon peuple, et Je t'avertirai. * Israël, si tu M'écoutes,	9 There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
10 il n'y aura pas chez toi de dieu nouveau, et tu n'adoreras pas de dieu étranger.	10 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
11 Car Je suis le Seigneur ton Dieu, qui t'ai fait sortir de la terre d'Egypte. * Elargis ta bouche, et Je la remplirai.	11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
12 Mais Mon peuple n'a pas écouté Ma voix, * et Israël ne M'a point obéi.	12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
13 Et Je les ai abandonnés aux désirs de leur coeur; * ils marcheront au gré de leurs conseils.	13 Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
14 Si Mon peuple M'avait écouté, * si Israël avait marché dans Mes voies,	14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
15 J'aurais pu facilement humilier leurs ennemis, * et J'aurais appesanti Ma main sur leurs oppresseurs.	15 The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
16 Les ennemis du Seigneur lui ont menti, * et le temps de leur misère durera sans fin.	16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
17 Et cependant Il les a nourris de la fleur du froment, * et Il les a rassasiés du miel sorti du rocher.
