Psalms 146

1 Alleluia. Praise the Lord, because the psalm is good. Delightful and beautiful praise shall be for our God.	1 Aleluia. Louva, ó minha alma, o Senhor!
2 The Lord builds up Jerusalem. He will gather together the dispersed of Israel.	2 Louvarei o Senhor por toda a vida. Salmodiarei ao meu Deus enquanto existir.
3 He heals the contrite of heart, and he binds up their sorrows.	3 Não coloqueis nos poderosos a vossa confiança, são apenas homens nos quais não há salvação.
4 He numbers the multitude of the stars, and he calls them all by their names.	4 Quando se lhe for o espírito, ele voltará ao pó, e todos os seus projetos se desvanecerão de uma só vez.
5 Great is our Lord, and great is his virtue. And of his wisdom, there is no number.	5 Feliz aquele que tem por protetor o Deus de Jacó, que põe sua esperança no Senhor, seu Deus.
6 The Lord lifts up the meek, but he brings down the sinner, even to the ground.	6 É esse o Deus que fez o céu e a terra, o mar e tudo o que eles contêm; que é eternamente fiel à sua palavra,
7 Sing before the Lord with confession. Play psalms to our God on a stringed instrument.	7 que faz justiça aos oprimidos, e dá pão aos que têm fome. O Senhor livra os cativos;
8 He covers heaven with clouds, and he prepares rain for the earth. He produces grass on the mountains and herbs for the service of men.	8 o Senhor abre os olhos aos cegos; o Senhor ergue os abatidos; o Senhor ama os justos.
9 He gives their food to beasts of burden and to young ravens that call upon him.	9 O Senhor protege os peregrinos, ampara o órfão e a viúva; mas entrava os desígnios dos pecadores.
10 He will not have good will for the strength of the horse, nor will he be well pleased with the legs of a man.	10 O Senhor reinará eternamente; ó Sião, teu Deus é rei por toda a eternidade.
11 The Lord is well pleased with those who fear him and with those who hope in his mercy.
