1 Por consiguiente, ninguna condenación pesa ya sobre los que están en Cristo Jesús.	1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh.
2 Porque la ley del espíritu que da la vida en Cristo Jesús te liberó de la ley del pecado y de la muerte.	2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and death.
3 Pues lo que era imposible a la ley, reducida a la impotencia por la carne, Dios, habiendo enviado a su propio Hijo en una carne semejante a la del pecado, y en orden al pecado, condenó el pecado en la carne,	3 For though this was impossible under the law, because it was weakened by the flesh, God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and because of sin, in order to condemn sin in the flesh,
4 a fin de que la justicia de la ley se cumpliera en nosotros que seguimos una conducta, no según la carne, sino según el espíritu.	4 so that the justification of the law might be fulfilled in us. For we are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.
5 Efectivamente, los que viven según la carne, desean lo carnal; mas los que viven según el espíritu, lo espiritual.	5 For those who are in agreement with the flesh are mindful of the things of the flesh. But those who are in agreement with the spirit are mindful of the things of the spirit.
6 Pues las tendencias de la carne son muerte; mas las del espíritu, vida y paz,	6 For the prudence of the flesh is death. But the prudence of the spirit is life and peace.
7 ya que las tendencias de la carne llevan al odio a Dios: no se someten a la ley de Dios, ni siquiera pueden;	7 And the wisdom of the flesh is inimical to God. For it is not subject to the law of God, nor can it be.
8 así, los que están en la carne, no pueden agradar a Dios.	8 So those who are in the flesh are not able to please God.
9 Mas vosotros no estáis en la carne, sino en el espíritu, ya que el Espíritu de Dios habita en vosotros. El que no tiene el Espíritu de Cristo, no le pertenece;	9 And you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if it is true that the Spirit of God lives within you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.
10 mas si Cristo está en vosotros, aunque el cuerpo haya muerto ya a causa del pecado, el espíritu es vida a causa de la justicia.	10 But if Christ is within you, then the body is indeed dead, concerning sin, but the spirit truly lives, because of justification.
11 Y si el Espíritu de Aquel que resucitó a Jesús de entre los muertos habita en vosotros, Aquel que resucitó a Cristo de entre los muertos dará también la vida a vuestros cuerpos mortales por su Espíritu que habita en vosotros.	11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead lives within you, then he who raised up Jesus Christ from the dead shall also enliven your mortal bodies, by means of his Spirit living within you.
12 Así que, hermanos míos, no somos deudores de la carne para vivir según la carne,	12 Therefore, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, so as to live according to the flesh.
13 pues, si vivís según la carne, moriréis. Pero si con el Espíritu hacéis morir las obras del cuerpo, viviréis.	13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die. But if, by the Spirit, you mortify the deeds of the flesh, you shall live.
14 En efecto, todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios son hijos de Dios.	14 For all those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God.
15 Pues no recibisteis un espíritu de esclavos para recaer en el temor; antes bien, recibisteis un espíritu de hijos adoptivos que nos hace exclamar: ¡Abbá, Padre!	15 And you have not received, again, a spirit of servitude in fear, but you have received the Spirit of the adoption of sons, in whom we cry out: “Abba, Father!”
16 El Espíritu mismo se une a nuestro espíritu para dar testimonio de que somos hijos de Dios.	16 For the Spirit himself renders testimony to our spirit that we are the sons of God.
17 Y, si hijos, también herederos: herederos de Dios y coherederos de Cristo, ya que sufrimos con él, para ser también con él glorificados.	17 But if we are sons, then we are also heirs: certainly heirs of God, but also co-heirs with Christ, yet in such a way that, if we suffer with him, we shall also be glorified with him.
18 Porque estimo que los sufrimientos del tiempo presente no son comparables con la gloria que se ha de manifestar en nosotros.	18 For I consider that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with that future glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 Pues la ansiosa espera de la creación desea vivamente la revelación de los hijos de Dios.	19 For the anticipation of the creature anticipates the revelation of the sons of God.
20 La creación, en efecto, fue sometida a la vanidad, no espontaneamente, sino por aquel que la sometió, en la esperanza	20 For the creature was made subject to emptiness, not willingly, but for the sake of the One who made it subject, unto hope.
21 de ser liberada de la servidumbre de la corrupción para participar en la gloriosa libertad de los hijos de Dios.	21 For the creature itself shall also be delivered from the servitude of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the sons of God.
22 Pues sabemos que la creación entera gime hasta el presente y sufre dolores de parto.	22 For we know that every creature groans inwardly, as if giving birth, even until now;
23 Y no sólo ella; también nosotros, que poseemos las primicias del Espíritu, nosotros mismos gemimos en nuestro interior anhelando el rescate de nuestro cuerpo.	23 and not only these, but also ourselves, since we hold the first-fruits of the Spirit. For we also groan within ourselves, anticipating our adoption as the sons of God, and the redemption of our body.
24 Porque nuestra salvación es en esperanza; y una esperanza que se ve, no es esperanza, pues ¿cómo es posible esperar una cosa que se ve?	24 For we have been saved by hope. But a hope which is seen is not hope. For when a man sees something, why would he hope?
25 Pero esperar lo que no vemos, es aguardar con paciencia.	25 But since we hope for what we do not see, we wait with patience.
26 Y de igual manera, el Espíritu viene en ayuda de nuestra flaqueza. Pues nosotros no sabemos cómo pedir para orar como conviene; mas el Espíritu mismo intercede por nosotros con gemidos inefables,	26 And similarly, the Spirit also helps our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself asks on our behalf with ineffable sighing.
27 y el que escruta los corazones conoce cuál es la aspiración del Espíritu, y que su intercesión a favor de los santos es según Dios.	27 And he who examines hearts knows what the Spirit seeks, because he asks on behalf of the saints in accordance with God.
28 Por lo demas, sabemos que en todas las cosas interviene Dios para bien de los que le aman; de aquellos que han sido llamados según su designio.	28 And we know that, for those who love God, all things work together unto good, for those who, in accordance with his purpose, are called to be saints.
29 Pues a los que de antemano conoció, también los predestinó a reproducir la imagen de su Hijo, para que fuera él el primogenito entre muchos hermanos;	29 For those whom he foreknew, he also predestinated, in conformity with the image of his Son, so that he might be the Firstborn among many brothers.
30 y a los que predestinó, a ésos también los justificó; a los que justificó, a ésos también los glorificó.	30 And those whom he predestinated, he also called. And those whom he called, he also justified. And those whom he justified, he also glorified.
31 Ante esto ¿qué diremos? Si Dios está por nosotros ¿quién contra nosotros?	31 So, what should we say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
32 El que no perdonó ni a su propio Hijo, antes bien le entregó por todos nosotros, ¿cómo no nos dará con él graciosamente todas las cosas?	32 He who did not spare even his own Son, but handed him over for the sake of us all, how could he not also, with him, have given us all things?
33 ¿Quién acusará a los elegidos de Dios? Dios es quien justifica.	33 Who will make an accusation against the elect of God? God is the One who justifies;
34 ¿Quién condenará? ¿Acaso Cristo Jesús, el que murió; más aún el que resucitó, el que está a la diestra de Dios, y que intercede por nosotros?	34 who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus who has died, and who has indeed also risen again, is at the right hand of God, and even now he intercedes for us.
35 ¿Quién nos separará del amor de Cristo? ¿La tribulación?, ¿la angustia?, ¿la persecución?, ¿el hambre?, ¿la desnudez?, ¿los peligros?, ¿la espada?,	35 Then who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation? Or anguish? Or famine? Or nakedness? Or peril? Or persecution? Or the sword?
36 como dice la Escritura: Por tu causa somos muertos todo el día; tratados como ovejas destinadas al matadero.	36 For it is as it has been written: “For your sake, we are being put to death all day long. We are being treated like sheep for the slaughter.”
37 Pero en todo esto salimos vencedores gracias a aquel que nos amó.	37 But in all these things we overcome, because of him who has loved us.
38 Pues estoy seguro de que ni la muerte ni la vida ni los ángeles ni los principados ni lo presente ni lo futuro ni las potestades	38 For I am certain that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor Principalities, nor Powers, nor the present things, nor the future things, nor strength,
39 ni la altura ni la profundidad ni otra criatura alguna podrá separarnos del amor de Dios manifestado en Cristo Jesús Señor nuestro.	39 nor the heights, nor the depths, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
