Jeremías 30

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Palabra que fue dirigida a Jeremías de parte de Yahveh:	1 The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh, as follows,
2 Así dice Yahveh el Dios de Israel: Escríbete todas las palabras que te he hablado en un libro.	2 'Yahweh, God of Israel, says this, "Write for yourself in a book al the words I have spoken to you.
3 Pues he aquí que vienen días - oráculo de Yahveh - en que haré tornar a los cautivos de mi pueblo Israel (y de Judá) - dice Yahveh - y les haré volver a la tierra que di a sus padres en posesión.	3 For look, the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shal bring back the captives of my peopleIsrael (and Judah), Yahweh says. I shall make them come back and take possession of the country I gave totheir ancestors." '
4 Estas son las palabras que dirigió Yahveh a Israel (y a Judá).	4 These are the words Yahweh spoke about Israel (and Judah):
5 Así dice Yahveh: Voces estremecedoras oímos: ¡Pánico, y no paz!	5 Yahweh says this: We have heard a cry of panic, of terror, not of peace.
6 Id a preguntar, y ved si pare el macho. Entonces ¿por qué he visto a todo varón con las manos en las caderas, como la que da a luz, y todas las caras se han vuelto amarillas?	6 Now ask and see: can a man bear children? Then why do I see each man with his hands on his loinslike a woman in labour? Why has every face grown pale?
7 ¡Ay! porque grande es aquel día, sin semejante, y tiempo de angustia es para Jacob; pero de ella quedará salvo.	7 Disaster! This is the great day, no other like it: a time of distress for Jacob, though he will be savedfrom it.
8 (Acontecerá aquel día - oráculo de Yahveh Sebaot - que romperé el yugo de sobre tu cerviz y tus coyundas arrancaré, y no te servirán más los extranjeros,	8 (That day, Yahweh Sabaoth declares, I shal break the yoke now on your neck and snap your chains;and foreigners wil enslave you no more,
9 sino que Israel y Judá servirán a Yahveh su Dios y a David su rey, que yo les suscitaré.)	9 but Israel and Judah wil serve Yahweh their God, and David their king whom I shal raise up for them.)
10 Pero tú no temas, siervo mío Jacob - oráculo de Yahveh - ni desmayes, Israel, pues mira que yo acudo a salvarte desde lejos y tu linaje del país de su cautiverio; volverá Jacob, se sosegará y estará tranquilo, y no habrá quien le inquiete,	10 So do not be afraid, my servant Jacob, Yahweh declares, Israel, do not be alarmed: for look, I shalrescue you from distant countries and your descendants from the country where they are captive. Jacob wilreturn and be at peace, secure, with no one to trouble him.
11 pues contigo estoy yo - oráculo de Yahveh - para salvarte: pues acabaré con todas las naciones entre las cuales te dispersé. pero contigo no acabaré; aunque sí te corregiré como conviene, ya que impune no te dejaré.	11 For I am with you to save you, Yahweh declares, I shal make an end of all the nations where I havedriven you, but I shall not make an end of you, only discipline you in moderation, not to let you go quiteunpunished.
12 Porque así dice Yahveh: Irremediable es tu quebranto, incurable tu herida.	12 Yes, Yahweh says this: Your wound is incurable, your injury past healing.
13 Estás desahuciado; para una herida hay cura, para ti no hay remedio.	13 There is no one to plead your cause; for an ulcer there are remedies, but for you no cure at al .
14 Todos tus amantes te olvidaron, por tu salud no preguntaron. Porque con herida de enemigo te herí, castigo de hombre cruel, (por tu gran culpa, porque son enormes tus pecados).	14 Al your lovers have forgotten you, they look for you no more. Yes, I have struck you as an enemystrikes, with cruel punishment (because of your great guilt and countless sins).
15 ¿Por qué te quejas de tu quebranto? Irremediable es tu sufrimiento; por tu gran culpa, por ser enormes tus pecados te he hecho esto.	15 Why cry out because of your wound? Your pain is incurable! Because of your great guilt andcountless sins, I have treated you like this.
16 No obstante todos los que te devoran serán devorados, y todos tus opresores, todos ellos, irán al cautiverio; serán tus despojadores despojados, y a todos tus saqueadores los entregaré al saqueo.	16 But al those who devoured you wil be devoured, al your enemies, al , go into captivity, those whodespoiled you will be despoiled, and al who pillaged you be pil aged.
17 Sí; haré que tengas alivio, de tus llagas te curaré - oráculo de Yahveh -. Porque «La Repudiada» te llamaron. «Sión de la que nadie se preocupa».	17 For I shal restore you to health and heal your wounds, Yahweh declares, you who used to be called'Outcast', 'Zion for whom no one cares'.
18 Así dice Yahveh: He aquí que yo hago volver a los cautivos de las tiendas de Jacob y de sus mansiones me apiadaré; será reedificada la ciudad sobre su montículo de ruinas y el alcázar tal como era será restablecido.	18 Yahweh says this: Look, I shal restore the tents of Jacob and take pity on his dwel ings: the town wilbe rebuilt on its mound, the stronghold where it ought to stand.
19 Y saldrá de entre ellos loor y voz de gente alegre; los multiplicaré y no serán pocos, los honraré y no serán menguados,	19 From them wil come thanksgiving and shouts of joy. I shal make them increase, they wil notdecrease; I shal make them honoured, no more to be humbled.
20 sino que serán sus hijos como antes, su comunidad ante mí estará en pie, y yo visitaré a todos sus opresores.	20 Their sons wil be as once they were, their community fixed firmly before me, and I shal punish alltheir oppressors.
21 Será su soberano uno de ellos, su jefe de entre ellos saldrá, y le haré acercarse y él llegará hasta mí, porque ¿quién es el que se jugaría la vida por llegarse hasta mí? - oráculo de Yahveh -.	21 Their prince wil be one of their own, their ruler come from their own people, and I shal permit him toapproach me freely; for who, otherwise, would be so bold as to approach me, Yahweh demands?
22 Y vosotros seréis mi pueblo, y yo seré vuestro Dios.	22 You wil be my people and I shal be your God.
23 Mirad que una tormenta de Yahveh ha estallado, un torbellino remolinea: sobre la cabeza de los malos descarga.	23 Look, Yahweh's hurricane, his wrath, bursts out, a roaring hurricane, to burst on the heads of thewicked;
24 No ha de apaciguarse el ardor de la ira de Yahveh hasta que la ejecute, y realice los designios de su corazón. En días futuros os percataréis de ello.	24 Yahweh's burning anger wil not turn aside until he has performed, has carried out, what he has inmind. In the final days, you wil understand this.
