1 An oracle concerning Moab. Because Ar is laid waste in a night Moab is undone; because Kir is laid waste in a night Moab is undone.	1 Oráculo contra Moab. Sim, atacada de noite, Ar-Moab foi destruída. Sim, atacada de noite, Quir-Moab foi destruída.
2 The daughter of Dibon has gone up to the high places to weep; over Nebo and over Medeba Moab wails. On every head is baldness, every beard is shorn;	2 O povo de Dibon subiu aos lugares altos para chorar, ao Nebo e ao Medaba: Moab lamenta-se. Todas as cabeças estão raspadas, todas as barbas cortadas.
3 in the streets they gird on sackcloth; on the housetops and in the squares every one wails and melts in tears.	3 Na rua vestem burel e lamentam-se nos terraços. Tudo geme e se desfaz em pranto.
4 Heshbon and Ele-aleh cry out, their voice is heard as far as Jahaz; therefore the armed men of Moab cry aloud; his soul trembles.	4 Hesebon e Elale soltam gritos, e sua voz chega até Jasa. Também Moab sente seus rins fremirem e sua alma desfalecer.
5 My heart cries out for Moab; his fugitives flee to Zoar, to Eglath-shelishiyah. For at the ascent of Luhith they go up weeping; on the road to Horonaim they raise a cry of destruction;	5 Do fundo do coração Moab geme, seus fugitivos alcançam Segor em Eglat-Selísia. Sim, a subida de Luit, fazem-na chorando. Sim, pela estrada de Horonaim soltam gritos de aflição.
6 the waters of Nimrim are a desolation; the grass is withered, the new growth fails, the verdure is no more.	6 Ah! As águas de Nemrim se esgotaram. A erva secou, a relva murchou, e as plantas não mais existem.
7 Therefore the abundance they have gained and what they have laid up they carry away over the Brook of the Willows.	7 Por isso, levam seus bens e suas provisões para além da torrente dos salgueiros.
8 For a cry has gone round the land of Moab; the wailing reaches to Eglaim, the wailing reaches to Beer-elim.	8 Porque o clamor circula por todas as fronteiras de Moab, suas lamentações ecoam até Eglaim, suas lamentações atingem Beer-Belim.
9 For the waters of Dibon are full of blood; yet I will bring upon Dibon even more, a lion for those of Moab who escape, for the remnant of the land.	9 Porque as águas de Dimon estão cheias de sangue porque enviarei sobre Dimon novos infortúnios, um leão contra os remanescentes de Moab e contra os que restarem no país sobrevivente de Adma.
