Isaiah 15

1 An oracle concerning Moab. Because Ar is laid waste in a night Moab is undone; because Kir is laid waste in a night Moab is undone.	1 משא מואב כי בליל שדד ער מואב נדמה כי בליל שדד קיר מואב נדמה
2 The daughter of Dibon has gone up to the high places to weep; over Nebo and over Medeba Moab wails. On every head is baldness, every beard is shorn;	2 עלה הבית ודיבן הבמות לבכי על נבו ועל מידבא מואב ייליל בכל ראשיו קרחה כל זקן גרועה
3 in the streets they gird on sackcloth; on the housetops and in the squares every one wails and melts in tears.	3 בחוצתיו חגרו שק על גגותיה וברחבתיה כלה ייליל ירד בבכי
4 Heshbon and Ele-aleh cry out, their voice is heard as far as Jahaz; therefore the armed men of Moab cry aloud; his soul trembles.	4 ותזעק חשבון ואלעלה עד יהץ נשמע קולם על כן חלצי מואב יריעו נפשו ירעה לו
5 My heart cries out for Moab; his fugitives flee to Zoar, to Eglath-shelishiyah. For at the ascent of Luhith they go up weeping; on the road to Horonaim they raise a cry of destruction;	5 לבי למואב יזעק בריחה עד צער עגלת שלשיה כי מעלה הלוחית בבכי יעלה בו כי דרך חורנים זעקת שבר יעערו
6 the waters of Nimrim are a desolation; the grass is withered, the new growth fails, the verdure is no more.	6 כי מי נמרים משמות יהיו כי יבש חציר כלה דשא ירק לא היה
7 Therefore the abundance they have gained and what they have laid up they carry away over the Brook of the Willows.	7 על כן יתרה עשה ופקדתם על נחל הערבים ישאום
8 For a cry has gone round the land of Moab; the wailing reaches to Eglaim, the wailing reaches to Beer-elim.	8 כי הקיפה הזעקה את גבול מואב עד אגלים יללתה ובאר אילים יללתה
9 For the waters of Dibon are full of blood; yet I will bring upon Dibon even more, a lion for those of Moab who escape, for the remnant of the land.	9 כי מי דימון מלאו דם כי אשית על דימון נוספות לפליטת מואב אריה ולשארית אדמה
