Psalms 46

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.	1 Al maestro di coro. Dei figli di Core. Su "Le vergini". Canto.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;	2 Dio è per noi rifugio e presidio, grande aiuto s'è mostrato nell'angustia.
3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult. [Selah]	3 Per questo non temeremmo se si sconvolgesse la terra, se precipitassero i monti in seno al mare.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.	4 Fremono, spumeggiano le sue acque, sobbalzano i monti al suo impeto.
5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early.	5 Il fiume con i suoi canali allieta la città di Dio, ha santificato l'Altissimo la sua dimora.
6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.	6 Dio sta in mezzo ad essa: non vacillerà; la soccorre l'Altissimo al sorgere del mattino.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. [Selah]	7 Fremettero le genti, vacillarono i regni, emise il suo grido, si scosse la terra.
8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has wrought desolations in the earth.	8 Il Signore delle Schiere è con noi, una rocca è per noi il Dio di Giacobbe.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and shatters the spear, he burns the chariots with fire!	9 Orsù, le gesta del Signore osservate, poiché egli sparge desolazione sulla terra;
10 "Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth!"	10 fa cessare la guerra fino ai confini della terra: spezza l'arco, frantuma la lancia, dà alle fiamme i carri di guerra.
11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. [Selah]	11 Cessate, e riconoscete che io, Dio, trionfo sui popoli, trionfo sulla terra.
	12 Il Signore delle Schiere è con noi, una rocca è per noi il Dio di Giacobbe.
