Psalms 46

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.	1 Pour la fin, des fils de Coré, sur les mystères, psaume.
2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea;	2 Dieu est notre refuge et notre force ; notre secours dans les tribulations qui nous ont enveloppés de toutes parts (assaillis très violemment).
3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult. [Selah]	3 C'est pourquoi nous ne craindrons point quand la terre sera ébranlée (bouleversée), et que les (des) montagnes seront transportées au cœur de la mer.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.	4 Ses eaux (Leurs flots) ont fait un grand bruit (mugi), et ont été agitées ; les montagnes ont été ébranlées par sa (la) puissance (de Dieu).
5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early.	5 Un fleuve réjouit la cité de Dieu par ses flots abondants ; le Très-Haut (y) a sanctifié son tabernacle.
6 The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts.	6 Dieu est au milieu d'elle (de cette cité), elle ne sera pas ébranlée ; Dieu la protégera le matin dès l'aurore.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. [Selah]	7 Les (Des) nations ont été troublées, et les (des) royaumes se sont affaissés (ont chancelé) ; il a fait entendre sa voix, la terre a été ébranlée.
8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, how he has wrought desolations in the earth.	8 Le Seigneur des armées est avec nous ; le Dieu de Jacob est notre défenseur.
9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and shatters the spear, he burns the chariots with fire!	9 Venez, et voyez les œuvres du Seigneur, les (vrais) prodiges qu'il a opérés sur la terre,
10 "Be still, and know that I am God. I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth!"	10 en faisant cesser la guerre jusqu'à l'extrémité du monde (de la terre). Il brisera l'arc, (et) mettra les armes en pièces, et il brûlera les boucliers par le feu.
11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. [Selah]	11 Arrêtez, et considérez que c'est moi qui suis Dieu. Je serai exalté parmi les nations, et je serai exalté sur (par toute) la terre.
	12 Le Seigneur des armées est avec nous ; le Dieu de Jacob est notre défenseur.
