Psalms 33

1 To David, when he changed his appearance in the sight of Abimelech, and so he dismissed him, and he went away.	1 Giubilate, giusti, in Jahvè; ai retti si addice la lode!
2 I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise will be ever in my mouth.	2 Lodate Jahvè sulla cetra, sul decacordo inneggiate a lui.
3 In the Lord, my soul will be praised. May the meek listen and rejoice.	3 Cantate a lui un cantico nuovo, con arte levate gli squilli!
4 Magnify the Lord with me, and let us extol his name in itself.	4 Poiché retta è la parola di Jahvè e tutte le sue opere con fedeltà.
5 I sought the Lord, and he heeded me, and he carried me away from all my tribulations.	5 Ama giustizia e giudizio; la sua grazia riempie la terra.
6 Approach him and be enlightened, and your faces will not be confounded.	6 Con la parola di Jahvè i cieli furono creati e con il soffio della sua bocca tutto il loro apparato.
7 This poor one cried out, and the Lord heeded him, and he saved him from all his tribulations.	7 Aduna come in un otre l’acqua del mare, riduce nei ricetti gli abissi.
8 The Angel of the Lord will encamp around those who fear him, and he will rescue them.	8 Tema di fronte a Jahvè tutta la terra; lui paventate voi tutti, abitanti dell’orbe.
9 Taste and see that the Lord is sweet. Blessed is the man who hopes in him.	9 Poiché egli disse e fu, diede un comando e là stette.
10 Fear the Lord, all you his saints. For there is no destitution for those who fear him.	10 Jahvè sventa i disegni delle genti, rende vani i divisamenti dei popoli.
11 The rich have been needy and hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not be deprived of any good thing.	11 Ma il disegno di Jahvè rimane in eterno, i divisamenti del suo cuore di generazione in generazione.
12 Come forward, sons. Listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the Lord.	12 Beata la gente cui Jahvè è Dio, il popolo che si scelse in eredità.
13 Which is the man who wills life, who chooses to see good days?	13 Dai cieli scruta Jahvè, guarda tutti i figli dell’uomo.
14 Prohibit your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.	14 Dal luogo della sua dimora spia su tutti gli abitanti della terra:
15 Turn away from evil, and do good. Inquire about peace, and pursue it.	15 lui che plasma tutti insieme i loro cuori, che penetra tutte le loro opere.
16 The eyes of the Lord are on the just, and his ears are with their prayers.	16 Non c’è re che prevalga per molta! potenza; prode che scampi: per molta forza.
17 But the countenance of the Lord is upon those who do evil, to perish the remembrance of them from the earth.	17 Fallace è il corsiero a salvezza, con la sua grande forza non scampa.
18 The just cried out, and the Lord heard them, and he freed them from all their tribulations.	18 Ecco, l’occhio di Jahvè è su coloro che lo temono, che aspettano la sua, pietà.
19 The Lord is near to those who are troubled in heart, and he will save the humble in spirit.	19 Perché salvi da morte la loro vita, li faccia vivere in tempo di fame.
20 Many are the afflictions of the just, but from them all the Lord will free them.	20 La nostra anima anela a Jahvè; nostro aiuto e nostro scudo egli è.
21 The Lord preserves all of their bones, not one of them shall be broken.	21 E in lui si allieta il nostro cuore, perché nel suo santo nome confidammo.
22 The death of a sinner is very harmful, and those who hate the just will fare badly.	22 Sia la tua pietà sopra di noi, 0 Jahvè, poiché aneliamo a te.
23 The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants, and none of those who hope in him will fare badly.
