Psalms 33

1 To David, when he changed his appearance in the sight of Abimelech, and so he dismissed him, and he went away.	1 Salmo di David, quando mutò il suo volto dinanzi Achimelec, il qual lasciollo, e partissi.
2 I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise will be ever in my mouth.	2 In ogni tempo benedicerò il Signore; sempre sarà nella mia bocca la sua laude.
3 In the Lord, my soul will be praised. May the meek listen and rejoice.	3 Nel Signore sarà laudata l'anima mia; odano i mansueti, e rallegrinsi.
4 Magnify the Lord with me, and let us extol his name in itself.	4 Magnificate il Signore meco; ed esaltiamo il. suo nome in uno.
5 I sought the Lord, and he heeded me, and he carried me away from all my tribulations.	5 Ho richiesto il Signore, e hammi esaudito, e liberato di tutte le mie tribulazioni.
6 Approach him and be enlightened, and your faces will not be confounded.	6 Andate a lui, e illuminatevi; e le vostre faccie non siano confuse.
7 This poor one cried out, and the Lord heeded him, and he saved him from all his tribulations.	7 Questo povero gridò, ed esaudillo il Signore; e salvollo di tutte le sue tribulazioni.
8 The Angel of the Lord will encamp around those who fear him, and he will rescue them.	8 L'angelo del Signore è dintorno a quelli che il temono; e libereralli.
9 Taste and see that the Lord is sweet. Blessed is the man who hopes in him.	9 Gustate, e vedete, però che il Signore è soave; beato l'uomo che in lui spera!
10 Fear the Lord, all you his saints. For there is no destitution for those who fear him.	10 Temete il Signore, voi tutti suoi santi; per che a quelli che il temono non è miseria.
11 The rich have been needy and hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not be deprived of any good thing.	11 Li ricchi sono stati bisognosi e affamati; ma alli cercanti il Signore non si sminuirà ogni bene.
12 Come forward, sons. Listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the Lord.	12 Venite, figliuoli, uditemi; insegnerovvi il timore del Signore.
13 Which is the man who wills life, who chooses to see good days?	13 È alcuno uomo, che vuole la vita, ama vedere i buoni dì?
14 Prohibit your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.	14 Vieta la tua lingua dal male, e le tue labbra perchè non parlino inganno.
15 Turn away from evil, and do good. Inquire about peace, and pursue it.	15 Ritraiti dal male, e fa bene; cerca la pace, e sèguita quella.
16 The eyes of the Lord are on the just, and his ears are with their prayers.	16 Gli occhi del Signore stanno sopra i giusti; e le sue orecchie a loro preghiere.
17 But the countenance of the Lord is upon those who do evil, to perish the remembrance of them from the earth.	17 Ma il volto del Signore è sopra i malfacenti, per perdere loro memoria dalla terra.
18 The just cried out, and the Lord heard them, and he freed them from all their tribulations.	18 Gridorono i giusti, e il Signore li esauditte; e liberolli dalle loro tribulazioni.
19 The Lord is near to those who are troubled in heart, and he will save the humble in spirit.	19 Appresso è il Signore a quelli che sono col tribulato cuore; e li umili di spirito salvarà.
20 Many are the afflictions of the just, but from them all the Lord will free them.	20 Molte sono le tribulazioni de' giusti; e da tutte queste libereralli il Signore.
21 The Lord preserves all of their bones, not one of them shall be broken.	21 Il Signore guarda tutte loro ossa; una di quelle non si romperà.
22 The death of a sinner is very harmful, and those who hate the just will fare badly.	22 Pessima è la morte de' peccatori; e quelli che hanno avuto in odio il giusto, peccheranno.
23 The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants, and none of those who hope in him will fare badly.	23 Ricomprerà il Signore l' animé de' servi suoi; e non abbandonerà coloro che in lui sperano.
