1 To David, when he changed his appearance in the sight of Abimelech, and so he dismissed him, and he went away.	1 VOI giusti, giubilate nel Signore; La lode è decevole agli uomini diritti.
2 I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise will be ever in my mouth.	2 Celebrate il Signore colla cetera; Salmeggiategli col saltero e col decacordo.
3 In the Lord, my soul will be praised. May the meek listen and rejoice.	3 Cantategli un nuovo cantico, Sonate maestrevolmente con giubilo.
4 Magnify the Lord with me, and let us extol his name in itself.	4 Perciocchè la parola del Signore è diritta; E tutte le sue opere son fatte con verità.
5 I sought the Lord, and he heeded me, and he carried me away from all my tribulations.	5 Egli ama la giustizia e la dirittura; La terra è piena della benignità del Signore.
6 Approach him and be enlightened, and your faces will not be confounded.	6 I cieli sono stati fatti per la parola del Signore, E tutto il loro esercito per lo soffio della sua bocca.
7 This poor one cried out, and the Lord heeded him, and he saved him from all his tribulations.	7 Egli ha adunate le acque del mare come in un mucchio; Egli ha riposti gli abissi come in tesori.
8 The Angel of the Lord will encamp around those who fear him, and he will rescue them.	8 Tutta la terra tema del Signore; Abbianne spavento tutti gli abitanti del mondo.
9 Taste and see that the Lord is sweet. Blessed is the man who hopes in him.	9 Perciocchè egli disse la parola, e la cosa fu; Egli comandò, e la cosa surse.
10 Fear the Lord, all you his saints. For there is no destitution for those who fear him.	10 Il Signore dissipa il consiglio delle genti, Ed annulla i pensieri de’ popoli.
11 The rich have been needy and hungry, but those who seek the Lord will not be deprived of any good thing.	11 Il consiglio del Signore dimora in eterno; I pensieri del suo cuore dimorano per ogni età
12 Come forward, sons. Listen to me. I will teach you the fear of the Lord.	12 Beata la gente di cui il Signore è l’Iddio; Beato il popolo, il quale egli ha eletto per sua eredità.
13 Which is the man who wills life, who chooses to see good days?	13 Il Signore riguarda dal cielo, Egli vede tutti i figliuoli degli uomini.
14 Prohibit your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.	14 Egli mira, dalla stanza del suo seggio, Tutti gli abitanti della terra.
15 Turn away from evil, and do good. Inquire about peace, and pursue it.	15 Egli è quel che ha formato il cuor di essi tutti, Che considera tutte le loro opere.
16 The eyes of the Lord are on the just, and his ears are with their prayers.	16 Il re non è salvato per grandezza di esercito; L’uomo prode non iscampa per grandezza di forza.
17 But the countenance of the Lord is upon those who do evil, to perish the remembrance of them from the earth.	17 Il cavallo è cosa fallace per salvare, E non può liberare colla grandezza della sua possa.
18 The just cried out, and the Lord heard them, and he freed them from all their tribulations.	18 Ecco, l’occhio del Signore è inverso quelli che lo temono; Inverso quelli che sperano nella sua benignità;
19 The Lord is near to those who are troubled in heart, and he will save the humble in spirit.	19 Per riscuoter l’anima loro dalla morte, E per conservarli in vita in tempo di fame.
20 Many are the afflictions of the just, but from them all the Lord will free them.	20 L’anima nostra attende il Signore; Egli è il nostro aiuto, e il nostro scudo.
21 The Lord preserves all of their bones, not one of them shall be broken.	21 Certo, il nostro cuore si rallegrerà in lui; Perciocchè noi ci siam confidati nel Nome della sua santità.
22 The death of a sinner is very harmful, and those who hate the just will fare badly.	22 La tua benignità, o Signore, sia sopra noi, Siccome noi abbiamo sperato in te
23 The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants, and none of those who hope in him will fare badly.
