Revelation 5

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 I saw that in the right hand of the One sitting on the throne there was a scrol that was written on backand front and was sealed with seven seals.	1 E vidi nella destra di Colui che siede sul trono un libro scritto dentro e sul retro, sigillato con sette sigilli.
2 Then I saw a powerful angel who cal ed with a loud voice, 'Who is worthy to open the scroll and breakits seals?'	2 Vidi poi un angelo possente che proclamava a gran voce: "Chi è degno di aprire il libro rompendone i sette sigilli?".
3 But there was no one, in heaven or on the earth or under the earth, who was able to open the scrol andread it.	3 E nessuno, né in cielo né in terra né sotto terra, era capace di aprire il libro e leggervi.
4 I wept bitterly because nobody could be found to open the scrol and read it,	4 Io allora cominciai a piangere forte, perché nessuno era stato trovato degno di aprire il libro e leggervi.
5 but one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep. Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David,has triumphed, and so he wil open the scroll and its seven seals.'	5 Ma uno dei Seniori mi disse: "Non piangere; ecco: ha vinto il Leone della tribù di Giuda, il Rampollo di Davide, per cui può aprire il libro e i suoi sette sigilli".
6 Then I saw, in the middle of the throne with its four living creatures and the circle of the elders, a Lambstanding that seemed to have been sacrificed; it had seven horns, and it had seven eyes, which are the sevenSpirits that God has sent out over the whole world.	6 Vidi infatti in mezzo al trono, con i quattro Viventi e i Seniori, un Agnello ritto, ma come immolato, con sette corna e sette occhi, che sono i sette Spiriti di Dio inviati per tutta la terra.
7 The Lamb came forward to take the scrol from the right hand of the One sitting on the throne,	7 S'appressò e prese il libro dalla destra di Colui che siede sul trono.
8 and when he took it, the four living creatures prostrated themselves before him and with them thetwenty-four elders; each one of them was holding a harp and had a golden bowl full of incense which are theprayers of the saints.	8 Quando l'ebbe ricevuto, i quattro Viventi e i ventiquattro Seniori si prostrarono davanti all'Agnello, tenendo ciascuno un'arpa e coppe d'oro piene di profumi, che sono le preghiere dei santi,
9 They sang a new hymn: You are worthy to take the scrol and to break its seals, because you weresacrificed, and with your blood you bought people for God of every race, language, people and nation	9 e cantavano un canto nuovo, dicendo: "Degno sei tu di prendere il libro e di aprire i suoi sigilli, poiché fosti immolato e acquistasti per Dio con il tuo sangue uomini di ogni tribù e lingua e popolo e nazione,
10 and made them a line of kings and priests for God, to rule the world.	10 ne facesti per il nostro Dio un regno di sacerdoti e regneranno sulla terra!".
11 In my vision, I heard the sound of an immense number of angels gathered round the throne and theliving creatures and the elders; there were ten thousand times ten thousand of them and thousands uponthousands,	11 Quindi nella visione udii il clamore di una moltitudine di angeli che circondavano il trono con i Viventi e i Seniori, in numero di miriadi di miriadi e di migliaia di migliaia, i quali dicevano a gran voce:
12 loudly chanting: Worthy is the Lamb that was sacrificed to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength,honour, glory and blessing.	12 "Degno è l'Agnello immolato di ricevere potenza e ricchezza, sapienza e forza, onore, gloria e lode!".
13 Then I heard al the living things in creation -- everything that lives in heaven, and on earth, and underthe earth, and in the sea, crying: To the One seated on the throne and to the Lamb, be al praise, honour, gloryand power, for ever and ever.	13 Ed ogni creatura, in cielo, in terra, sotto terra e nel mare, e tutte le cose in essi contenute, udii esclamare: "A Colui che siede sul trono e all'Agnello lode e onore, gloria e impero nei secoli dei secoli!".
14 And the four living creatures said, 'Amen'; and the elders prostrated themselves to worship.	14 I quattro Viventi dissero: "Amen!". E i ventiquattro Seniori si prostrarono in adorazione.
