Revelation 4

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Then, in my vision, I saw a door open in heaven and heard the same voice speaking to me, the voicelike a trumpet, saying, 'Come up here: I will show you what is to take place in the future.'	1 Poi ebbi una visione. Ecco: una porta si aprì nel cielo e la voce che prima avevo udita parlarmi a somiglianza di tromba, disse: "Sali quassù, affinché ti mostri ciò che dovrà accadere dopo questo".
2 With that, I fel into ecstasy and I saw a throne standing in heaven, and the One who was sitting on thethrone,	2 Improvvisamente mi trovai in estasi; ed ecco: un trono stava eretto nel cielo e sul trono Uno stava seduto;
3 and the One sitting there looked like a diamond and a ruby. There was a rainbow encircling the throne,and this looked like an emerald.	3 ora Colui che sedeva era simile nell'aspetto a diaspro e cornalina, mentre l'arcobaleno, che era intorno al trono, era simile a una visione di smeraldo.
4 Round the throne in a circle were twenty-four thrones, and on them twenty-four elders sitting, dressedin white robes with golden crowns on their heads.	4 Disposti intorno al trono v'erano ventiquattro seggi e sui seggi vidi seduti ventiquattro Seniori: indossavano vesti bianche e sulle loro teste avevano corone d'oro.
5 Flashes of lightning were coming from the throne, and the sound of peals of thunder, and in front of thethrone there were seven flaming lamps burning, the seven Spirits of God.	5 Dal trono uscivano lampi, voci e tuoni. Sette lampade ardenti bruciavano davanti al trono: sono i sette Spiriti di Dio.
6 In front of the throne was a sea as transparent as crystal. In the middle of the throne and around it,were four living creatures al studded with eyes, in front and behind.	6 Si stendeva davanti al trono un mare vitreo dall'apparenza di cristallo. In mezzo al trono e intorno al trono v'erano quattro Viventi, pieni di occhi davanti e dietro.
7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second like a bull, the third living creature had a human face,and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.	7 Ora il primo vivente era simile a leone, il secondo vivente era simile a vitello, il terzo vivente aveva aspetto d'uomo e il quarto vivente somigliava a un'aquila in volo.
8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was studded with eyes all the way round as well asinside; and day and night they never stopped singing: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty; who was,and is and is to come.'	8 E i quattro Viventi, muniti di sei ali ciascuno, avevano occhi tutt'intorno e al di dentro. Senza sosta ripetevano notte e giorno: "Santo, santo, santo è il Signore Dio, l'Onnipotente, Colui che era, che è, che viene!".
9 Every time the living creatures glorified and honoured and gave thanks to the One sitting on the throne,who lives for ever and ever,	9 E quando i Viventi daranno gloria, onore e grazia a Colui che siede sul trono e che vive per i secoli dei secoli,
10 the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before him to worship the One who lives for ever andever, and threw down their crowns in front of the throne, saying:	10 i ventiquattro Seniori si prostreranno davanti a Colui che siede sul trono e adoreranno Colui che vive per i secoli dei secoli e getteranno le loro corone davanti al trono dicendo:
11 You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you made the wholeuniverse; by your wil , when it did not exist, it was created.	11 "Degno sei, nostro Signore e Dio, di ricevere gloria, onore e potenza, tu che hai creato tutte le cose, le quali non esistevano e per tuo volere furono create!".
