Revelation 4

NEW JERUSALEM	GREEK BIBLE
1 Then, in my vision, I saw a door open in heaven and heard the same voice speaking to me, the voicelike a trumpet, saying, 'Come up here: I will show you what is to take place in the future.'	1 Μετα ταυτα ειδον, και ιδου, θυρα ανεωγμενη εν τω ουρανω, και η φωνη η πρωτη, την οποιαν ηκουσα ως σαλπιγγος λαλουσης μετ' εμου, ελεγεν? Αναβα εδω και θελω σοι δειξει οσα πρεπει να γεινωσι μετα ταυτα.
2 With that, I fel into ecstasy and I saw a throne standing in heaven, and the One who was sitting on thethrone,	2 Και ευθυς ηλθον εις πνευματικην εκστασιν? και ιδου, θρονος εκειτο εν τω ουρανω, και επι του θρονου ητο τις καθημενος.
3 and the One sitting there looked like a diamond and a ruby. There was a rainbow encircling the throne,and this looked like an emerald.	3 και ο καθημενος ητο ομοιος κατα την θεαν με λιθον ιασπιν και σαρδινον? και ητο ιρις κυκλω του θρονου ομοια κατα την θεαν με σμαραγδον.
4 Round the throne in a circle were twenty-four thrones, and on them twenty-four elders sitting, dressedin white robes with golden crowns on their heads.	4 Και κυκλω του θρονου ησαν θρονοι εικοσιτεσσαρες? και επι τους θρονους ειδον καθημενους τους εικοσιτεσσαρας πρεσβυτερους, ενδεδυμενους ιματια λευκα, και ειχον επι τας κεφαλας αυτων στεφανους χρυσους.
5 Flashes of lightning were coming from the throne, and the sound of peals of thunder, and in front of thethrone there were seven flaming lamps burning, the seven Spirits of God.	5 Και εκ του θρονου εξηρχοντο αστραπαι και βρονται και φωναι? και ησαν επτα λαμπαδες πυρος καιομεναι εμπροσθεν του θρονου, αιτινες ειναι τα επτα πνευματα του Θεου?
6 In front of the throne was a sea as transparent as crystal. In the middle of the throne and around it,were four living creatures al studded with eyes, in front and behind.	6 και εμπροσθεν του θρονου ητο θαλασσα υαλινη, ομοια με κρυσταλλον? και εν τω μεσω του θρονου και κυκλω του θρονου τεσσαρα ζωα γεμοντα οφθαλμων εμπροσθεν και οπισθεν.
7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second like a bull, the third living creature had a human face,and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.	7 Και το ζωον το πρωτον ητο ομοιον με λεοντα, και το δευτερον ζωον ομοιον με μοσχαριον, και το τριτον ζωον ειχε το προσωπον ως ανθρωπος, και το τεταρτον ζωον ητο ομοιον με αετον πετωμενον.
8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was studded with eyes all the way round as well asinside; and day and night they never stopped singing: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty; who was,and is and is to come.'	8 Και τα τεσσαρα ζωα ειχον εκαστον χωριστα ανα εξ πτερυγας κυκλοθεν και εσωθεν ησαν γεμοντα οφθαλμων, και δεν παυουσιν ημεραν και νυκτα λεγοντα? Αγιος, αγιος, αγιος Κυριος ο Θεος ο παντοκρατωρ, ο ην και ο ων και ο ερχομενος.
9 Every time the living creatures glorified and honoured and gave thanks to the One sitting on the throne,who lives for ever and ever,	9 Και οταν προσφερωσι τα ζωα δοξαν και τιμην και ευχαριστιαν εις τον καθημενον επι του θρονου, εις τον ζωντα εις τους αιωνας των αιωνων,
10 the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before him to worship the One who lives for ever andever, and threw down their crowns in front of the throne, saying:	10 οι εικοσιτεσσαρες πρεσβυτεροι θελουσι πεσει ενωπιον του καθημενου επι του θρονου, και θελουσι προσκυνησει τον ζωντα εις τους αιωνας των αιωνων, και θελουσι βαλει τους στεφανους αυτων ενωπιον του θρονου, λεγοντες?
11 You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you made the wholeuniverse; by your wil , when it did not exist, it was created.	11 Αξιος εισαι, Κυριε, να λαβης την δοξαν και την τιμην και την δυναμιν, διοτι συ εκτισας τα παντα, και δια το θελημα σου υπαρχουσι και εκτισθησαν.
