Revelation 4

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 Then, in my vision, I saw a door open in heaven and heard the same voice speaking to me, the voicelike a trumpet, saying, 'Come up here: I will show you what is to take place in the future.'	1 J'eus ensuite une vision. Voici: une porte était ouverte au ciel, et la voix que j'avais naguèreentendu me parler comme une trompette me dit: Monte ici, que je te montre ce qui doit arriver par la suite.
2 With that, I fel into ecstasy and I saw a throne standing in heaven, and the One who was sitting on thethrone,	2 A l'instant, je tombai en extase. Voici, un trône était dressé dans le ciel, et, siégeant sur le trône,Quelqu'un...
3 and the One sitting there looked like a diamond and a ruby. There was a rainbow encircling the throne,and this looked like an emerald.	3 Celui qui siège est comme une vision de jaspe et de cornaline; un arc-en-ciel autour du trône estcomme une vision d'émeraude.
4 Round the throne in a circle were twenty-four thrones, and on them twenty-four elders sitting, dressedin white robes with golden crowns on their heads.	4 24 sièges entourent le trône, sur lesquels sont assis 24 Vieillards vêtus de blanc, avec descouronnes d'or sur leurs têtes.
5 Flashes of lightning were coming from the throne, and the sound of peals of thunder, and in front of thethrone there were seven flaming lamps burning, the seven Spirits of God.	5 Du trône partent des éclairs, des voix et des tonnerres, et sept lampes de feu brûlent devant lui,les sept Esprits de Dieu.
6 In front of the throne was a sea as transparent as crystal. In the middle of the throne and around it,were four living creatures al studded with eyes, in front and behind.	6 Devant le trône, on dirait une mer, transparente autant que du cristal. Au milieu du trône etautour de lui, se tiennent quatre Vivants, constellés d'yeux par-devant et par-derrière.
7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second like a bull, the third living creature had a human face,and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle.	7 Le premier Vivant est comme un lion; le deuxième Vivant est comme un jeune taureau; letroisième Vivant a comme un visage d'homme; le quatrième Vivant est comme un aigle en plein vol.
8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was studded with eyes all the way round as well asinside; and day and night they never stopped singing: Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God, the Almighty; who was,and is and is to come.'	8 Les quatre Vivants, portant chacun six ailes, sont constellés d'yeux tout autour et en dedans. Ilsne cessent de répéter jour et nuit: "Saint, Saint, Saint, Seigneur, Dieu Maître-de-tout, Il était, Il est et Il vient."
9 Every time the living creatures glorified and honoured and gave thanks to the One sitting on the throne,who lives for ever and ever,	9 Et chaque fois que les Vivants offrent gloire, honneur et action de grâces à Celui qui siège sur letrône et qui vit dans les siècles des siècles,
10 the twenty-four elders prostrated themselves before him to worship the One who lives for ever andever, and threw down their crowns in front of the throne, saying:	10 les 24 Vieillards se prosternent devant Celui qui siège sur le trône pour adorer Celui qui vitdans les siècles des siècles; ils lancent leurs couronnes devant le trône en disant:
11 You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you made the wholeuniverse; by your wil , when it did not exist, it was created.	11 "Tu es digne, ô notre Seigneur et notre Dieu, de recevoir la gloire, l'honneur et la puissance,car c'est toi qui créas l'univers; par ta volonté, il n'était pas et fut créé."
