1 From Jude, servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James; to those who are cal ed, to those who aredear to God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ,	1 Giuda, servo di Gesù Cristo e fratello di Giacomo, a quelli che sono amati da Dio Padre, e in Cristo Gesù salvati e chiamati:
2 mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.	2 misericordia, pace e carità vi sian moltiplicate.
3 My dear friends, at a time when I was eagerly looking forward to writing to you about the salvation thatwe all share, I felt that I must write to you encouraging you to fight hard for the faith which has been once and foral entrusted to God's holy people.	3 Carissimi, mentre io ponevo ogni mia sollecitudine nello scrivervi relativamente alla comune vostra salute, mi son trovato nella necessità di scrivervi per scongiurarvi a combattere per la fede che è stata una volta per sempre data ai santi;
4 Certain people have infiltrated among you, who were long ago marked down for condemnation on thisaccount; without any reverence they pervert the grace of our God to debauchery and deny al religion, rejectingour only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.	4 perché si sono intrusi certi uomini (la condanna dei quali è già scritta da molto tempo) empi, che mutano in lussuria la grazia del nostro Dio e negano il solo Dominatore e Signore nostro Gesù Cristo.
5 I should like to remind you -- though you have already learnt it once and for al -- that the Lord rescuedthe nation from Egypt, but afterwards he stil destroyed the people who refused to believe him;	5 Ora, benché voi siate stati una volta istruiti di tutte le cose, voglio ricordarvi che Gesù, dopo aver liberato il popolo dalla terra d'Egitto, in seguito sterminò quelli che non credettero,
6 and the angels who did not keep to the authority they had, but left their appointed sphere, he has kept indarkness in eternal bonds until the judgement of the great Day.	6 e quegli angeli che non conservarono la loro preminenza, ma abbandonarono il loro posto, gli ha riservati pel giudizio del gran giorno, sepolti nella caligine, in eterne catene.
7 Sodom and Gomorrah, too, and the neighbouring towns, who with the same sexual immorality pursuedunnatural lusts, are put before us as an example since they are paying the penalty of eternal fire.	7 Così pure Sodoma e Gomorra e le città confinanti, che si eran come loro abbandonate alla stessa impurità, al vizio infame contro natura, furono fatte esempio sotto il peso d'un fuoco eterno.
8 Nevertheless, these people are doing the same: in their delusions they not only defile their bodies anddisregard Authority, but abuse the Glories as wel .	8 Nella stessa maniera questi contaminano la carne, disprezzano l'autorità, bestemmiano la maestà.
9 Not even the archangel Michael, when he was engaged in argument with the devil about the corpse ofMoses, dared to denounce him in the language of abuse; all he said was, 'May the Lord rebuke you.'	9 Michele Arcangelo, quando, disputando col diavolo, altercava a causa del corpo di Mosè, non ardì lanciare contro di lui sentenza di maledizione, ma disse: Ti reprima il Signore.
10 But these people abuse anything they do not understand; and the only things they do understand --merely by nature like unreasoning animals -- wil turn out to be fatal to them.	10 Questi invece bestemmiano tutto ciò che non conoscono, e di tutto quello che, come muti animali, naturalmente conoscono, ne abusano per corrompersi.
11 Alas for them, because they have fol owed Cain; they have thrown themselves into the same delusionas Balaam for a reward; they have been ruined by the same rebel ion as Korah -and share the same fate.	11 Guai a loro, perchè han presa la strada di Caino, e per amor di guadagno si son precipitati nell'errore di Balaam, e son periti nella ribellione di Core.
12 They are a dangerous hazard at your community meals, coming for the food and quite shamelesslyonly looking after themselves. They are like the clouds blown about by the winds and bringing no rain, or likeautumn trees, barren and uprooted and so twice dead;	12 Costoro sono un vituperio nelle loro agapi, ove gozzovigliano senza ritegno per ingrassare, sono nuvole senza acqua portate qua e là dai venti, sono alberi d'autunno, senza frutti, due volte morti, sradicati;
13 like wild sea waves with their own shame for foam; or like wandering stars for whom the gloom ofdarkness is stored up for ever.	13 son flutti di mare furioso, che spumano le proprie turpitudini; sono astri erranti ai quali è riservata in eterno la procella delle tenebre.
14 It was with them in mind that Enoch, the seventh patriarch from Adam, made his prophecy when hesaid, 'I tel you, the Lord wil come with his holy ones in their tens of thousands,	14 E di essi profetò Enoch, il settimo (patriarca) da Adamo, quando disse: « Ecco, viene il Signore colle migliaia dei suoi santi
15 to pronounce judgement on al humanity and to sentence the godless for al the godless things theyhave done, and for al the defiant things said against him by godless sinners.'	15 a far giudizio contro tutti, a rimproverare tutti gli empi di tutte le opere malvage che hanno empiamente commesse e di tutte le dure cose che, da peccatori empi, han dette contro Dio ».
16 They are mischief-makers, grumblers governed only by their own desires, with mouths ful of boastfultalk, ready to flatter others for gain.	16 Costoro sono dei mormoratori queruli che vivono secondo le loro passioni; la loro bocca sputa superbia; essi adulano per interesse le persone.
17 But remember, my dear friends, what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.	17 Ma voi, carissimi, ricordatevi di ciò che vi fu predetto dagli apostoli del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo,
18 'At the final point of time', they told you, 'there wil be mockers who fol ow nothing but their own godlessdesires.'	18 i quali vi dicevano come negli ultimi tempi verranno degli schernitori che vivranno empiamente secondo le loro passioni.
19 It is they who cause division, who live according to nature and do not possess the Spirit.	19 Son loro che provocan le divisioni, questi animali che non hanno Spirito.
20 But you, my dear friends, must build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith, praying inthe Holy Spirit;	20 Ma voi, carissimi, e liticando voi stessi sopra la santissima vostra fede, pregando nello Spirito Santo,
21 keep yourselves within the love of God and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to give youeternal life.	21 mantenetevi nell'amore di Dio, aspettando la misericordia del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo per la vita eterna.
22 To some you must be compassionate because they are wavering;	22 Correggete questi, dopo averli convinti;
23 others you must save by snatching them from the fire; to others again you must be compassionate butwary, hating even the tunic stained by their bodies.	23 salvate quelli, strappandoli al fuoco; degli altri poi abbiate compassione, avendo però in odio perfin la veste contaminata dalla loro carne.
24 To him who can keep you from fal ing and bring you safe to his glorious presence, innocent and joyful,	24 A Colui che è potente per custodirvi senza peccato e farvi comparire immacolati ed esultanti nel cospetto della sua gloria nella venuta del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo.
25 to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, authority and power, before al ages, now and for ever. Amen.	25 al solo Dio Salvatore nostro, per Gesù Cristo nostro Signore, gloria, e magnificenza, e impero, e potenza prima di tutti i secoli, ed ora, e per tutti i secoli dei secoli. Così sia.
