1 From Jude, servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James; to those who are cal ed, to those who aredear to God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ,	1 - Giuda, servo di Gesù Cristo, e fratello di Giacomo, a quelli che sono amati da Dio Padre e conservati e chiamati in Cristo Gesù.
2 mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.	2 La misericordia, la pace e la carità vi sian moltiplicate.
3 My dear friends, at a time when I was eagerly looking forward to writing to you about the salvation thatwe all share, I felt that I must write to you encouraging you to fight hard for the faith which has been once and foral entrusted to God's holy people.	3 Carissimi, desideroso come sono di scrivervi con ogni sollecitudine intorno alla comune vostra salute, mi son trovato nella necessità di scrivervi, per esortarvi a combattere vigorosamente per la fede, che è stata data una volta per tutte ai santi.
4 Certain people have infiltrated among you, who were long ago marked down for condemnation on thisaccount; without any reverence they pervert the grace of our God to debauchery and deny al religion, rejectingour only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.	4 Poichè tra noi si sono intrusi certi uomini empi (la cui condanna è già scritta da tempo), i quali mutano in lussuria la grazia del nostro Dio, e negano il solo Dominatore e Signor nostro Gesù Cristo.
5 I should like to remind you -- though you have already learnt it once and for al -- that the Lord rescuedthe nation from Egypt, but afterwards he stil destroyed the people who refused to believe him;	5 Ora io voglio ricordarvi, quantunque conosciate già tutte queste cose, che Gesù, liberando il popolo dalla terra d'Egitto, sterminò poi quelli che non credettero;
6 and the angels who did not keep to the authority they had, but left their appointed sphere, he has kept indarkness in eternal bonds until the judgement of the great Day.	6 e che gli angeli, che non conoscevano la loro dignità, ma abbandonarono la loro dimora, li riserbò per il giudizio del gran giorno, nelle tenebre, stretti in eterne catene.
7 Sodom and Gomorrah, too, and the neighbouring towns, who with the same sexual immorality pursuedunnatural lusts, are put before us as an example since they are paying the penalty of eternal fire.	7 Così pure Sodoma e Gomorra e le città attorno, re e allo stesso modo di fornicazione e di vizi contro natura, ci restano a esempio, soffrendo la pena di un fuoco eterno.
8 Nevertheless, these people are doing the same: in their delusions they not only defile their bodies anddisregard Authority, but abuse the Glories as wel .	8 Nella stessa guisa anche questi contaminano la [loro] carne, disprezzano l'autorità, bestemmiano la maestà.
9 Not even the archangel Michael, when he was engaged in argument with the devil about the corpse ofMoses, dared to denounce him in the language of abuse; all he said was, 'May the Lord rebuke you.'	9 Quando Michele l'arcangelo disputando altercava col diavolo relativamente al corpo di Mosè, non ardì di pronunciare sentenza di maledizione, ma disse: «Ti reprima il Signore».
10 But these people abuse anything they do not understand; and the only things they do understand --merely by nature like unreasoning animals -- wil turn out to be fatal to them.	10 Invece questi bestemmiano tutto quello che non conoscono; e tutte quelle cose, che come i muti animali naturalmente conoscono, son quelle che li conducono a perdizione.
11 Alas for them, because they have fol owed Cain; they have thrown themselves into the same delusionas Balaam for a reward; they have been ruined by the same rebel ion as Korah -and share the same fate.	11 Guai a loro, perchè hanno già presa la via di Caino, e per sete di guadagno si sono gettati nell'errore di Balaam, e sono periti nella ribellione di Core.
12 They are a dangerous hazard at your community meals, coming for the food and quite shamelesslyonly looking after themselves. They are like the clouds blown about by the winds and bringing no rain, or likeautumn trees, barren and uprooted and so twice dead;	12 Questi sono macchie nelle loro àgapi, ponendosi insieme a mensa, senza rispetto, pascendo se stessi, nuvole senz'acqua, portate qua e là dai vènti, alberi d'autunno, senza frutti, due volte morti, sradicati,
13 like wild sea waves with their own shame for foam; or like wandering stars for whom the gloom ofdarkness is stored up for ever.	13 onde furiose del mare, che spumano le proprie turpitudini, astri erranti, ai quali son serbate in eterno le tenebre più profonde.
14 It was with them in mind that Enoch, the seventh patriarch from Adam, made his prophecy when hesaid, 'I tel you, the Lord wil come with his holy ones in their tens of thousands,	14 Ora di questi profetò Enoc, il settimo [patriarca] da Adamo, dicendo: «Ecco viene il Signore con le migliaia dei suoi santi
15 to pronounce judgement on al humanity and to sentence the godless for al the godless things theyhave done, and for al the defiant things said against him by godless sinners.'	15 a far giudizio contro tutti, a chieder conto da tutti gli empi di tutte le empietà da essi empiamente commesse e di tutte le arroganze che questi peccatori empi hanno detto contro di lui».
16 They are mischief-makers, grumblers governed only by their own desires, with mouths ful of boastfultalk, ready to flatter others for gain.	16 Costoro sono mormoratori queruli che vivono secondo i loro appetiti, e la loro bocca parla di cose superbe, e se lodano qualcuno è per fini interessati.
17 But remember, my dear friends, what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.	17 Ma voi, carissimi, ricordatevi di quel che vi è stato predetto dagli apostoli del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo,
18 'At the final point of time', they told you, 'there wil be mockers who fol ow nothing but their own godlessdesires.'	18 i quali vi dicevano che negli ultimi tempi sarebbero venuti degli schernitori, che vivranno secondo i loro istinti nella empietà.
19 It is they who cause division, who live according to nature and do not possess the Spirit.	19 Costoro son quelli che generano le divisioni, animaleschi, privi dello Spirito.
20 But you, my dear friends, must build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith, praying inthe Holy Spirit;	20 Ma voi, carissimi, edificando voi stessi sopra la santissima vostra fede e pregando per virtù dello Spirito Santo,
21 keep yourselves within the love of God and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to give youeternal life.	21 conservatevi nell'amore di Dio, aspettando che la misericordia del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo vi dia la vita eterna.
22 To some you must be compassionate because they are wavering;	22 Intanto correggete gli uni, dopo averli convinti;
23 others you must save by snatching them from the fire; to others again you must be compassionate butwary, hating even the tunic stained by their bodies.	23 altri salvate, strappandoli dal fuoco; di altri abbiate pietà mista a timore, odiando perfino la veste macchiata dalla carne.
24 To him who can keep you from fal ing and bring you safe to his glorious presence, innocent and joyful,	24 A Colui poi che è potente di conservarvi senza peccato e farvi comparire, immacolati, davanti alla sua gloria in esultanza, nella venuta del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo,
25 to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, authority and power, before al ages, now and for ever. Amen.	25 al solo Dio, Salvator nostro per mezzo di Gesù Cristo, nostro Signore, siano gloria, maestà, signoria e potestà innanzi a tutti i secoli e ora e per tutti i secoli dei secoli. Amen.
