NEW JERUSALEM	GREEK BIBLE
1 From Jude, servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James; to those who are cal ed, to those who aredear to God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ,	1 Ιουδας, δουλος Ιησου Χριστου, αδελφος δε Ιακωβου, προς τους κλητους τους ηγιασμενους υπο Θεου Πατρος, και τετηρημενους υπο του Ιησου Χριστου?
2 mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.	2 ελεος πληθυνθειη εις εσας και ειρηνη και αγαπη.
3 My dear friends, at a time when I was eagerly looking forward to writing to you about the salvation thatwe all share, I felt that I must write to you encouraging you to fight hard for the faith which has been once and foral entrusted to God's holy people.	3 Αγαπητοι, επειδη καταβαλλω πασαν σπουδην να σας γραφω περι της κοινης σωτηριας, ελαβον αναγκην να σας γραψω, προτρεπων εις το να αγωνιζησθε δια την πιστιν, ητις απαξ παρεδοθη εις τους αγιους.
4 Certain people have infiltrated among you, who were long ago marked down for condemnation on thisaccount; without any reverence they pervert the grace of our God to debauchery and deny al religion, rejectingour only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.	4 Διοτι εισεχωρησαν λαθραιως τινες ανθρωποι, οιτινες ησαν παλαιοθεν προγεγραμμενοι εις ταυτην την καταδικην, ασεβεις, μεταστρεφοντες την χαριν του Θεου ημων εις ασελγειαν, και αρνουμενοι τον μονον Δεσποτην Θεον και Κυριον ημων Ιησουν Χριστον.
5 I should like to remind you -- though you have already learnt it once and for al -- that the Lord rescuedthe nation from Egypt, but afterwards he stil destroyed the people who refused to believe him;	5 Θελω δε να σας υπενθυμισω, αν και σεις εγνωρισατε ηδη τουτο, οτι ο Κυριος, αφου εσωσε τον λαον εκ γης Αιγυπτου, απωλεσεν υστερον τους μη πιστευσαντας.
6 and the angels who did not keep to the authority they had, but left their appointed sphere, he has kept indarkness in eternal bonds until the judgement of the great Day.	6 Και αγγελους, οιτινες δεν εφυλαξαν την εαυτων αξιαν αλλα κατελιπον το ιδιον αυτων κατοικητηριον, εφυλαξε με παντοτεινα δεσμα υποκατω του σκοτους δια την κρισιν της μεγαλης ημερας?
7 Sodom and Gomorrah, too, and the neighbouring towns, who with the same sexual immorality pursuedunnatural lusts, are put before us as an example since they are paying the penalty of eternal fire.	7 καθως τα Σοδομα και τα Γομορρα και αι περιξ αυτων πολεις, εις την πορνειαν παραδοθεισαι κατα τον ομοιον με τουτους τροπον και ακολουθουσαι οπισω αλλης σαρκος, προκεινται παραδειγμα, τιμωρουμεναι με το αιωνιον πυρ.
8 Nevertheless, these people are doing the same: in their delusions they not only defile their bodies anddisregard Authority, but abuse the Glories as wel .	8 Ομοιως και ουτοι ενυπνιαζομενοι την μεν σαρκα μιαινουσι, την δε εξουσιαν καταφρονουσι και τα αξιωματα βλασφημουσιν.
9 Not even the archangel Michael, when he was engaged in argument with the devil about the corpse ofMoses, dared to denounce him in the language of abuse; all he said was, 'May the Lord rebuke you.'	9 Ο δε Μιχαηλ ο αρχαγγελος, οτε αγωνιζομενος με τον διαβολον εφιλονεικει περι του σωματος του Μωυσεως, δεν ετολμησε να επιφερη εναντιον αυτου κατηγοριαν βλασφημον, αλλ' ειπεν? Ο Κυριος να σε επιτιμηση.
10 But these people abuse anything they do not understand; and the only things they do understand --merely by nature like unreasoning animals -- wil turn out to be fatal to them.	10 Ουτοι δε οσα μεν δεν εξευρουσι βλασφημουσιν, οσα δε φυσικως ως τα αλογα ζωα εξευρουσιν, εις ταυτα φθειρονται.
11 Alas for them, because they have fol owed Cain; they have thrown themselves into the same delusionas Balaam for a reward; they have been ruined by the same rebel ion as Korah -and share the same fate.	11 Ουαι εις αυτους, διοτι περιεπατησαν εις την οδον του Καιν και χαριν μισθου εξεχυθησαν εις την πλανην του Βαλααμ, και απωλεσθησαν εις την αντιλογιαν του Κορε.
12 They are a dangerous hazard at your community meals, coming for the food and quite shamelesslyonly looking after themselves. They are like the clouds blown about by the winds and bringing no rain, or likeautumn trees, barren and uprooted and so twice dead;	12 Ουτοι ειναι κηλιδες εις τας αγαπας σας, συμποσιαζοντες αφοβως, βοσκοντες εαυτους, νεφελαι ανυδροι υπο ανεμων περιφερομεναι, δενδρα φθινοπωρινα ακαρπα, δις αποθανοντα, εκριζωθεντα,
13 like wild sea waves with their own shame for foam; or like wandering stars for whom the gloom ofdarkness is stored up for ever.	13 κυματα αγρια θαλασσης επαφριζοντα τας ιδιας αυτων αισχυνας, αστερες πλανηται, δια τους οποιους το ζοφερον σκοτος ειναι τετηρημενον εις τον αιωνα.
14 It was with them in mind that Enoch, the seventh patriarch from Adam, made his prophecy when hesaid, 'I tel you, the Lord wil come with his holy ones in their tens of thousands,	14 Προεφητευσε δε περι τουτων και ο Ενωχ, εβδομος απο Αδαμ, λεγων? Ιδου, ηλθεν ο Κυριος με μυριαδας αγιων αυτου,
15 to pronounce judgement on al humanity and to sentence the godless for al the godless things theyhave done, and for al the defiant things said against him by godless sinners.'	15 δια να καμη κρισιν κατα παντων και να ελεγξη παντας τους ασεβεις εξ αυτων δια παντα τα εργα της ασεβειας αυτων, τα οποια επραξαν και δια παντα τα σκληρα, τα οποια ελαλησαν κατ' αυτου αμαρτωλοι ασεβεις.
16 They are mischief-makers, grumblers governed only by their own desires, with mouths ful of boastfultalk, ready to flatter others for gain.	16 Ουτοι ειναι γογγυσται, μεμψιμοιροι, περιπατουντες κατα τας επιθυμιας αυτων, και το στομα αυτων λαλει υπερηφανα, και κολακευουσι προσωπα χαριν ωφελειας.
17 But remember, my dear friends, what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.	17 Αλλα σεις, αγαπητοι, ενθυμηθητε τους λογους τους προειρημενους υπο των αποστολων του Κυριου ημων Ιησου Χριστου,
18 'At the final point of time', they told you, 'there wil be mockers who fol ow nothing but their own godlessdesires.'	18 οτι σας ελεγον οτι εν εσχατω καιρω θελουσιν εισθαι εμπαικται, περιπατουντες κατα τας ασεβεις επιθυμιας αυτων.
19 It is they who cause division, who live according to nature and do not possess the Spirit.	19 Ουτοι ειναι οι αποχωριζοντες εαυτους, ζωωδεις, Πνευμα μη εχοντες.
20 But you, my dear friends, must build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith, praying inthe Holy Spirit;	20 Σεις ομως, αγαπητοι, εποικοδομουντες εαυτους επι την αγιωτατην πιστιν σας, προσευχομενοι εν Πνευματι Αγιω,
21 keep yourselves within the love of God and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to give youeternal life.	21 φυλαξατε εαυτους εις την αγαπην του Θεου, προσμενοντες το ελεος του Κυριου ημων Ιησου Χριστου, εις ζωην αιωνιον.
22 To some you must be compassionate because they are wavering;	22 Και αλλους μεν ελεειτε, καμνοντες διακρισιν,
23 others you must save by snatching them from the fire; to others again you must be compassionate butwary, hating even the tunic stained by their bodies.	23 αλλους δε σωζετε μετα φοβου, αρπαζοντες αυτους εκ του πυρος, μισουντες και τον χιτωνα τον μεμολυσμενον απο της σαρκος.
24 To him who can keep you from fal ing and bring you safe to his glorious presence, innocent and joyful,	24 Εις δε τον δυναμενον να σας φυλαξη απταιστους και να σας στηση κατενωπιον της δοξης αυτου αμωμους εν αγαλλιασει,
25 to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, authority and power, before al ages, now and for ever. Amen.	25 εις τον μονον σοφον Θεον τον σωτηρα ημων, ειη δοξα και μεγαλωσυνη, κρατος και εξουσια και νυν και εις παντας τους αιωνας? αμην.
