Jude 1

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 From Jude, servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James; to those who are cal ed, to those who aredear to God the Father and kept safe for Jesus Christ,	1 Judas, servidor de Jesucristo, hermano de Santiago, saluda a los que han sido llamados, a los amados de Dios, el Padre, y protegidos por Jesucristo.
2 mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance.	2 Llegue a ustedes la misericordia, la paz y el amor en abundancia.
3 My dear friends, at a time when I was eagerly looking forward to writing to you about the salvation thatwe all share, I felt that I must write to you encouraging you to fight hard for the faith which has been once and foral entrusted to God's holy people.	3 Queridos míos, yo tenía un gran deseo de escribirles acerca de nuestra común salvación, pero me he visto obligado a hacerlo con el fin de exhortarlos a combatir por la fe, que de una vez para siempre ha sido transmitida a los santos.
4 Certain people have infiltrated among you, who were long ago marked down for condemnation on thisaccount; without any reverence they pervert the grace of our God to debauchery and deny al religion, rejectingour only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.	4 Porque se han infiltrado entre ustedes ciertos hombres, cuya condenación estaba preanunciada desde hace mucho tiempo. Son impíos que hacen de la gracia de Dios un pretexto para su libertinaje y reniegan de nuestro único Dueño y Señor Jesucristo.
5 I should like to remind you -- though you have already learnt it once and for al -- that the Lord rescuedthe nation from Egypt, but afterwards he stil destroyed the people who refused to believe him;	5 Quiero recordarles, aunque ustedes ya lo han aprendido de una vez por todas, que el Señor, después de haber salvado al pueblo, sacándolo de Egipto, hizo morir en seguida a los incrédulos.
6 and the angels who did not keep to the authority they had, but left their appointed sphere, he has kept indarkness in eternal bonds until the judgement of the great Day.	6 En cuanto a los ángeles que no supieron conservar su preeminencia y abandonaron su propia morada, el Señor los tiene encadenados eternamente en las tinieblas para el Juicio del gran Día.
7 Sodom and Gomorrah, too, and the neighbouring towns, who with the same sexual immorality pursuedunnatural lusts, are put before us as an example since they are paying the penalty of eternal fire.	7 También Sodoma y Gomorra, y las ciudades vecinas, que se prostituyeron de un modo semejante a ellos, dejándose arrastrar por relaciones contrarias a la naturaleza, han quedado como ejemplo, sometidas a la pena de un fuego eterno.
8 Nevertheless, these people are doing the same: in their delusions they not only defile their bodies anddisregard Authority, but abuse the Glories as wel .	8 Lo mismo pasa con estos impíos: en su delirio profanan la carne, desprecian la Soberanía e injurian a los ángeles gloriosos.
9 Not even the archangel Michael, when he was engaged in argument with the devil about the corpse ofMoses, dared to denounce him in the language of abuse; all he said was, 'May the Lord rebuke you.'	9 Ahora bien, el mismo arcángel Miguel, cuando se enfrentaba con el demonio y discutía con él, respecto del cuerpo de Moisés, no se atrevió a proferir contra él ningún juicio injurioso, sino que dijo solamente: «Que el Señor te reprima».
10 But these people abuse anything they do not understand; and the only things they do understand --merely by nature like unreasoning animals -- wil turn out to be fatal to them.	10 Estos impíos, en cambio, hablan injuriosamente de lo que ignoran; y lo que conocen por instinto natural, como animales irracionales, sólo sirve para su ruina.
11 Alas for them, because they have fol owed Cain; they have thrown themselves into the same delusionas Balaam for a reward; they have been ruined by the same rebel ion as Korah -and share the same fate.	11 ¡Ay de ellos! Porque siguieron el camino de Caín; por amor al dinero cayeron en el extravío de Balaam y perecieron en la rebelión de Coré.
12 They are a dangerous hazard at your community meals, coming for the food and quite shamelesslyonly looking after themselves. They are like the clouds blown about by the winds and bringing no rain, or likeautumn trees, barren and uprooted and so twice dead;	12 Ellos manchan las comidas fraternales, porque se dejan llevar de la glotonería sin ninguna vergüenza y sólo tratan de satisfacerse a sí mismos. Son nubes sin agua llevadas por el viento, árboles otoñales sin frutos, doblemente muertos y arrancados de raíz;
13 like wild sea waves with their own shame for foam; or like wandering stars for whom the gloom ofdarkness is stored up for ever.	13 olas bravías del mar, que arrojan la espuma de sus propias deshonras, estrellas errantes a las que está reservada para siempre la densidad de las tinieblas.
14 It was with them in mind that Enoch, the seventh patriarch from Adam, made his prophecy when hesaid, 'I tel you, the Lord wil come with his holy ones in their tens of thousands,	14 A ellos se refería Henoc, el séptimo patriarca después de Adán, cuando profetizó: «Ya viene el Señor con sus millares de ángeles,
15 to pronounce judgement on al humanity and to sentence the godless for al the godless things theyhave done, and for al the defiant things said against him by godless sinners.'	15 para juzgar a todos y condenar a los impíos por las maldades que cometieron, y a los pecadores por las palabras insolentes que profirieron contra él».
16 They are mischief-makers, grumblers governed only by their own desires, with mouths ful of boastfultalk, ready to flatter others for gain.	16 Todos estos son murmuradores y descontentos que viven conforme al capricho de sus pasiones: su boca está llena de petulancia y adulan a los demás por interés.
17 But remember, my dear friends, what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.	17 En cuanto a ustedes, queridos míos, acuérdense de lo que predijeron los Apóstoles de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
18 'At the final point of time', they told you, 'there wil be mockers who fol ow nothing but their own godlessdesires.'	18 Ellos les decían: «En los últimos tiempos habrá gente que se burlará de todo y vivirá de acuerdo con sus pasiones impías».
19 It is they who cause division, who live according to nature and do not possess the Spirit.	19 Estos son los que provocan divisiones, hombres sensuales que no poseen el Espíritu.
20 But you, my dear friends, must build yourselves up on the foundation of your most holy faith, praying inthe Holy Spirit;	20 Pero ustedes, queridos míos, edifíquense a sí mismos sobre el fundamento de su fe santísima, orando en el Espíritu Santo.
21 keep yourselves within the love of God and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to give youeternal life.	21 Manténganse en el amor de Dios, esperando la misericordia de nuestro Señor Jesucristo para la Vida eterna.
22 To some you must be compassionate because they are wavering;	22 Traten de convencer a los que tienen dudas,
23 others you must save by snatching them from the fire; to others again you must be compassionate butwary, hating even the tunic stained by their bodies.	23 y sálvenlos librándolos del fuego. En cuanto a los demás, tengan piedad de ellos, pero con cuidado, aborreciendo hasta la túnica contaminada por su cuerpo.
24 To him who can keep you from fal ing and bring you safe to his glorious presence, innocent and joyful,	24 A aquel que puede preservarlos de toda caída y hacerlos comparecer sin mancha y con alegría en la presencia de su gloria,
25 to the only God, our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, authority and power, before al ages, now and for ever. Amen.	25 al único Dios que es nuestro Salvador, por medio de Jesucristo nuestro Señor, sea la gloria, el honor, la fuerza y el poder, desde antes de todos los tiempos, ahora y para siempre. Amén.
