1 John 3

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 You must see what great love the Father has lavished on us by letting us be cal ed God's children --which is what we are! The reason why the world does not acknowledge us is that it did not acknowledge him.	1 Nézzétek, mekkora szeretetet tanúsított irántunk az Atya, hogy Isten gyermekeinek neveznek, és azok is vagyunk! Azért nem ismer minket a világ, mert őt sem ismeri.
2 My dear friends, we are already God's children, but what we shall be in the future has not yet beenrevealed. We are wel aware that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he real yis.	2 Szeretteim, most Isten gyermekei vagyunk, de még nem lett nyilvánvaló, hogy mik leszünk. Tudjuk azonban, hogy amikor meg fog jelenni, hasonlók leszünk hozzá, mert látni fogjuk őt, amint van.
3 Whoever treasures this hope of him purifies himself, to be as pure as he is.	3 Mindaz, aki ezt reméli tőle, megszenteli magát, mint ahogy ő is szent.
4 Whoever sins, acts wickedly, because al sin is wickedness.	4 Mindaz, aki bűnt cselekszik, gonoszságot is elkövet, mert a bűn gonoszság.
5 Now you are well aware that he has appeared in order to take sins away, and that in him there is no sin.	5 És tudjátok, hogy ő azért jelent meg, hogy elvegye a bűneinket, és benne nincsen bűn.
6 No one who remains in him sins, and whoever sins has neither seen him nor recognised him.	6 Mindaz, aki benne marad, nem vétkezik, és mindaz, aki vétkezik, nem látta és nem ismerte őt.
7 Children, do not let anyone lead you astray. Whoever acts uprightly is upright, just as he is upright.	7 Gyermekeim, senki meg ne csaljon titeket! Aki igazat cselekszik, az igaz, mint ahogy ő is igaz.
8 Whoever lives sinfully belongs to the devil, since the devil has been a sinner from the beginning. Thiswas the purpose of the appearing of the Son of God, to undo the work of the devil.	8 Aki bűnt cselekszik, az ördögtől van, mert az ördög kezdettől fogva vétkezik. Azért jelent meg Isten Fia, hogy az ördög műveit lerontsa.
9 No one who is a child of God sins because God's seed remains in him. Nor can he sin, because he is achild of God.	9 Mindaz, aki Istentől született, bűnt nem cselekszik, mert Isten magja van benne, és nem vétkezhet, mert Istentől született.
10 This is what distinguishes the children of God from the children of the devil: whoever does not liveuprightly and does not love his brother is not from God.	10 Erről lehet megismerni, hogy kik az Isten gyermekei és kik az ördög gyermekei. Mindaz, aki nem igazat cselekszik, és aki nem szereti testvérét, nem Istentől van.
11 This is the message which you heard from the beginning, that we must love one another,	11 Mert az az üzenet, amelyet kezdettől fogva hallottatok, hogy szeressük egymást.
12 not to be like Cain, who was from the Evil One and murdered his brother. And why did he murder hisbrother? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's upright.	12 Nem úgy, mint Kain, aki a gonosztól volt, és megölte testvérét. S miért ölte meg? Azért, mert az ő tettei gonoszak voltak, a testvérének tettei pedig igazak.
13 Do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you.	13 Ne csodálkozzatok, testvérek, ha a világ gyűlöl titeket.
14 We are wel aware that we have passed over from death to life because we love our brothers.Whoever does not love, remains in death.	14 Mi tudjuk, hogy a halálból átmentünk az életre, mert szeretjük testvéreinket. Aki nem szeret, az a halálban marad.
15 Anyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you are well aware that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.	15 Mindaz, aki gyűlöli testvérét, gyilkos. És jól tudjátok, hogy egy gyilkosnak sincs örök élete, amely megmaradna benne.
16 This is the proof of love, that he laid down his life for us, and we too ought to lay down our lives for ourbrothers.	16 Abból ismertük meg a szeretetet, hogy ő életét adta értünk, tehát nekünk is életünket kell adnunk testvéreinkért.
17 If anyone is wel -off in worldly possessions and sees his brother in need but closes his heart to him,how can the love of God be remaining in him?	17 Aki birtokolja a világ javait, és szűkölködni látja testvérét, de a szívét elzárja előle, hogyan marad meg abban az Isten szeretete?
18 Children, our love must be not just words or mere talk, but something active and genuine.	18 Gyermekeim! Ne szeressünk szóval, se nyelvvel, hanem tettel és igazsággal!
19 This will be the proof that we belong to the truth, and it wil convince us in his presence,	19 Erről ismerjük meg, hogy az igazságból vagyunk, és az ő színe előtt meg fog nyugodni a szívünk.
20 even if our own feelings condemn us, that God is greater than our feelings and knows al things.	20 Mert ha a szívünk vádol is minket, Isten nagyobb a szívünknél, és tud mindent.
21 My dear friends, if our own feelings do not condemn us, we can be fearless before God,	21 Szeretteim! Ha a szívünk nem vádol minket, bizalmunk van Istenhez,
22 and whatever we ask we shal receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what isacceptable to him.	22 és bármit kérünk, megkapjuk tőle, mert megtartjuk parancsait, és azt tesszük, ami kedves előtte.
23 His commandment is this, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and that weshould love one another as he commanded us.	23 És az ő parancsa az, hogy higgyünk Fiának, Jézus Krisztusnak nevében, és szeressük egymást, amint megparancsolta nekünk.
24 Whoever keeps his commandments remains in God, and God in him. And this is the proof that heremains in us: the Spirit that he has given us.	24 Aki megtartja parancsait, Istenben marad, és az Isten is őbenne. Hogy pedig ő bennünk marad, azt a Lélektől tudjuk meg, amelyet nekünk adott.
