1 The portion of the sons of Joseph started on the east at the Jordan opposite Jericho (the Waters ofJericho) through the desert rising from Jericho into the highlands of Bethel;	1 Sinovima Josipovim pripao je ždrijebom posjed: od Jordana kod Jerihona, od Jerihonskih voda na istok, pa pustinjom k Betelskoj gori;
2 from Bethel it went to Luz, and on towards the frontier of the Archites at Ataroth;	2 od Betel-Luza međa se nastavljala područjem Arkijaca do Atarota.
3 then passed downwards and westwards to the frontier of the Japhletites as far as the border of LowerBeth-Horon and on to Gezer, and reached as far as the sea.	3 Potom se spuštala na zapad do jafletske međe, sve do Donjeg Bet-Horona i do Gezera, odakle je izlazila na more.
4 Such was the heritage of the sons of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim.	4 To je bila baština Josipovih sinova: Manašea i Efrajima.
5 As regards the territory of the sons of Ephraim, by clans, the frontier of their heritage ran from Ataroth-Arach to Upper Beth-Horon;	5 Područje sinova Efrajimovih po njihovim porodicama bilo je ovo: međa baštine njihove prema istoku išla je od Atrot Adara pa do Gornjega Bet-Horona.
6 the frontier then reached as far as the sea . . . the Michmethath in the north, and the frontier turnedeast to Tanaath-Shiloh which it crossed in an easterly direction to Janoah;	6 Odatle se pružala do mora... (išla na) Mikmetat na sjeveru i zavijala dalje na istok prema Taanat Šilu i prolazila s istočne strane do Janoaha.
7 it ran down to Ataroth and Naarah, touched Jericho and ended at the Jordan.	7 Od Janoaha spuštala se u Atarot i Naarat i onda, dotičući se Jerihona, udarala na Jordan.
8 From Tappuah, the frontier ran westwards to the Torrent of Kanah and reached as far as the sea. Suchwas the heritage of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, by clans,	8 Od Tapuaha išla je ta međa prema zapadu do potoka Kane te izbijala na more. To je bila baština plemena sinova Efrajimovih po njihovim porodicama.
9 apart from the towns reserved for the sons of Ephraim inside the heritage of the sons of Manasseh, althese towns and their villages.	9 A Efrajimovi su sinovi imali sve te gradove s njihovim selima i još odvojene gradove usred baštine sinova Manašeovih.
10 The Canaanites living in Gezer were not driven out; they have remained in Ephraim to the presentday but are obliged to do forced labour.	10 Ali nisu uspjeli otjerati Kanaanaca koji su živjeli u Gezeru. Tako su Kanaanci ostali među sinovima Efrajimovim do danas, ali im bijaše nametnuta tlaka.
