Joshua 16

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 The portion of the sons of Joseph started on the east at the Jordan opposite Jericho (the Waters ofJericho) through the desert rising from Jericho into the highlands of Bethel;	1 La parte que tocó en suerte a los hijos de José se extendía desde el Jordán, a la altura de Jericó, hasta las aguas de Jericó, por el este; luego venía el desierto, que desde Jericó sube por la montaña hasta Betel;
2 from Bethel it went to Luz, and on towards the frontier of the Archites at Ataroth;	2 siguiendo de Betel hasta Luz, pasaba por Atarot, o sea por el territorio de los arquitas;
3 then passed downwards and westwards to the frontier of the Japhletites as far as the border of LowerBeth-Horon and on to Gezer, and reached as far as the sea.	3 después bajaba al oeste, hacia el territorio de los iafletitas, hasta la región de Bet Jorón de Abajo y hasta Guézer, y terminaba en el mar,
4 Such was the heritage of the sons of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim.	4 Esta es la parte que recibieron como herencia Manasés y Efraím, los hijos de José.
5 As regards the territory of the sons of Ephraim, by clans, the frontier of their heritage ran from Ataroth-Arach to Upper Beth-Horon;	5 El territorio correspondiente a los clanes de los efraimitas fue el siguiente: el límite de su herencia, por el lado oriental, era Atarot Adar hasta Bet Jorón de Arriba,
6 the frontier then reached as far as the sea . . . the Michmethath in the north, and the frontier turnedeast to Tanaath-Shiloh which it crossed in an easterly direction to Janoah;	6 y llegaba hasta el mar. Al norte estaba Micmetat, y al este, el límite doblaba hacia Taanat Silo, pasando al este de Ianóaj.
7 it ran down to Ataroth and Naarah, touched Jericho and ended at the Jordan.	7 Después bajaba de Ianóaj a Atarot y a Naará, y tocaba Jericó, para terminar en el Jordán.
8 From Tappuah, the frontier ran westwards to the Torrent of Kanah and reached as far as the sea. Suchwas the heritage of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim, by clans,	8 Desde Tapúaj, la frontera iba hacia el oeste por el torrente de Caná, y terminaba en el mar. Esta es la herencia asignada a los clanes de los efraimitas,
9 apart from the towns reserved for the sons of Ephraim inside the heritage of the sons of Manasseh, althese towns and their villages.	9 además de las ciudades distribuidas a ellos dentro de las posesiones de los hijos de Manasés, todas las ciudades con sus poblados.
10 The Canaanites living in Gezer were not driven out; they have remained in Ephraim to the presentday but are obliged to do forced labour.	10 Pero ellos no pudieron desposeer a los cananeos que habitaban en Guézer, y por eso siguen viviendo en medio de Efraím hasta el día de hoy, aunque tienen que pagar tributo.
