Joshua 1

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 When Moses, servant of Yahweh, was dead, Yahweh spoke to Joshua son of Nun, Moses' adjutant. Hesaid,	1 Nachdem Mose, der Knecht des Herrn, gestorben war, sagte der Herr zu Josua, dem Sohn Nuns, dem Diener des Mose:
2 'Moses my servant is dead; go now and cross this Jordan, you and this whole people, into the countrywhich I am giving to them (the Israelites).	2 Mein Knecht Mose ist gestorben. Mach dich also auf den Weg und zieh über den Jordan hier mit diesem ganzen Volk in das Land, das ich ihnen, den Israeliten, geen werde.
3 Every place you tread with the soles of your feet I shall give you, as I declared to Moses that I would.	3 Jeden Ort, den euer Fuß betreten wird, gebe ich euch, wie ich es Mose versprochen habe.
4 From the desert and the Lebanon, to the Great River, the Euphrates (the entire country of the Hittites),and as far as the Great Sea to westward, is to be your territory.	4 Euer Gebiet soll von der Steppe und vom Libanon an bis zum großen Strom, zum Eufrat, reichen - das ist das ganze Land der Hetiter - und bis hin zum großen Meer, wo die Sonne untergeht.
5 As long as you live, no one wil be able to resist you; I shal be with you as I was with Moses; I shall notfail you or desert you.	5 Niemand wird dir Widerstand leisten können, solange du lebst. Wie ich mit Mose war, will ich auch mit dir sein. Ich lasse dich nicht fallen und verlasse dich nicht.
6 'Be strong and stand firm, for you are the man to give this people possession of the land which I sworeto their ancestors that I would give them.	6 Sei mutig und stark! Denn du sollst diesem Volk das Land zum Besitz geben, von dem du weißt: Ich habe ihren Vätern geschworen, es ihnen zu geben.
7 Only be strong and stand very firm and be careful to keep the whole Law which my servant Moses laiddown for you. Do not swerve from this either to right or to left, and then you wil succeed wherever you go.	7 Sei nur mutig und stark und achte genau darauf, dass du ganz nach der Weisung handelst, die mein Knecht Mose dir gegeben hat. Weich nicht nach rechts und nicht nach links davon ab, damit du Erfolg hast in allem, was du unternimmst.
8 Have the book of this Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may careful ykeep everything that is written in it. Then your undertakings wil prosper, then you will have success.	8 Über dieses Gesetzbuch sollst du immer reden und Tag und Nacht darüber nachsinnen, damit du darauf achtest, genau so zu handeln, wie darin geschrieben steht. Dann wirst du auf deinem Weg Glück und Erfolg haben.
9 Have I not told you: Be strong and stand firm? Be fearless and undaunted, for go where you may,Yahweh your God is with you.'	9 Habe ich dir nicht befohlen: Sei mutig und stark? Fürchte dich also nicht und hab keine Angst; denn der Herr, dein Gott, ist mit dir bei allem, was du unternimmst.
10 Joshua then gave the people's officials this instruction:	10 Da befahl Josua den Listenführern im Volk:
11 'Go through the camp and give the people this order, "Make provisions ready, for in three days' timeyou wil cross this Jordan and go on to take possession of the land which Yahweh your God is giving you as yourown." '	11 Geht durch das Lager und befehlt den Leuten: Versorgt euch mit Lebensmitteln; denn in drei Tagen werdet ihr den Jordan hier überschreiten, um in das Land hineinzuziehen und es in Besitz zu nehmen, das der Herr, euer Gott, euch zu eigen gibt.
12 Joshua then said to the Reubenites and Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh,	12 Und den Rubenitern, den Gaditern und dem halben Stamm Manasse sagte Josua:
13 'Remember the order given you by Moses, servant of Yahweh: Yahweh your God, in bringing you torest, has given you the land where we are.	13 Erinnert euch an das, was Mose, der Knecht des Herrn, euch geboten hat: Der Herr, euer Gott, gewährt euch Ruhe und gibt euch dieses Land.
14 Your wives, your little ones and your cattle must stay in the country given you by Moses beyond theJordan. But al you fighting men must cross in battle formation at the head of your brothers and help them,	14 Eure Frauen, eure Kinder und euer Vieh sollen in dem Land bleiben, das Mose euch östlich des Jordan gegeben hat. Ihr aber sollt mit euren Brüdern hinübergehen, ihnen kampfbereit mit allen Kriegern voranziehen und ihnen helfen,
15 until Yahweh grants rest to your brothers and you alike, when they too have taken possession of theland which Yahweh your God is giving to them. Then you may go back and take possession of the land whichbelongs to you and which Moses, servant of Yahweh, has given you on the eastern side of the Jordan.'	15 bis der Herr euren Brüdern ebenso wie euch Ruhe gewährt und bis auch sie das Land in Besitz nehmen, das der Herr, euer Gott, ihnen gibt. Dann sollt ihr in euren eigenen Besitz zurückkehren, in das Land, das euch Mose, der Knecht des Herrn, östlich des Jordan gegen Sonnenaufgang als Besitz gegeben hat.
16 They answered Joshua, 'We wil do whatever you order us, and wherever you send us we wil go.	16 Sie antworteten Josua: Alles, was du uns befohlen hast, wollen wir tun und dahin, wohin du uns schickst, werden wir gehen.
17 We obeyed Moses in everything, and now we will obey you. Only may Yahweh your God be with youas he was with Moses!	17 Genauso, wie wir auf Mose gehört haben, wollen wir auch auf dich hören. Der Herr aber, dein Gott, möge mit dir sein, wie er mit Mose gewesen ist.
18 If anyone rebels against your orders or will not listen to your commands, let him be put to death. Only be strong and stand firm.'	18 Jeder, der sich deinem Befehl widersetzt und nicht allen deinen Anordnungen gehorcht, soll mit dem Tod bestraft werden. Sei nur mutig und stark!
