Deuteronomy 33

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 This is the blessing that Moses, man of God, pronounced over the Israelites before he died.	1 Eis a bênção que Moisés, o homem de Deus, pronunciou sobre os israelitas antes de morrer:
2 He said: Yahweh came from Sinai, from Seir he dawned on us, from Mount Paran blazed forth, Forthem he came, after the mustering at Kadesh, from his zenith as far as the foothil s.	2 O Senhor veio do Sinai e levantou-se para eles de Seir; resplandeceu do monte Fará, e chegou de Meribá de Cabes, do sul às encostas das montanhas.
3 You who love the ancestors! Your holy ones are all at your command. At your feet they fell, under yourguidance went swiftly on.	3 Sim, ele ama os povos. Todos os seus santos estão ao abrigo da sua mãoestão sentados a seus pés para receber as suas palavras.

Enquanto suas mãos combatem por ele, vinde protegê-lo contra os inimigos.
8 Of Levi he said: To Levi, give your urim, to your faithful one, your thummim, having tested him atMassah, having striven with him at the Waters of Meribah.	8 Para Levi disse: dai vossos tumim e vossos urim ao homem que vos é fiel, quem provasses em Massá, com quem questionasses junto às águas de Meribá.

Yes, they have kept your word, they hold firmly to your covenant.	9 Que diz de seu pai e sua mãe: Não os tenho em consideração; que não reconhece seus irmãos e ignora seus filhos. 10 They wil teach your customs to Jacob, and your Law to Israel. They wil put incense before you andburnt offerings on your altar.	10 ensinam vossos preceitos a Jacó e vossa lei a Israel; apresentam o incenso ao vosso olfato e o holocausto sobre o vosso altar.
11 Yahweh, bless his worthiness, and accept the actions he performs. Crush the loins of those who riseagainst him and of his foes, so that they rise no more!	11 Abençoai, Senhor, sua obra e aceitar o trabalho de suas mãos. 12 Of Benjamin he said: Beloved of Yahweh, he rests trustful y near him. The Most High protects himday after day and dwel s between his hil sides.	12 Para Benjamim disse: querido do Senhor, habita junto dele com segurança. O Altíssimo o protege sempre; repousa entre os seus ombros.
13 Of Joseph he said: His land is blessed by Yahweh. For him the best of heaven's dew and of the deepthat lies below,	13 Para José disse: Sua terra é abençoada pelo Senhor com os dons do céu e do orvalho, com os dons das fontes que brotam das profundezas,
14 the best of what the sun makes grow, of what springs with every month,	14 Com os melhores frutos do sol, os melhores frutos de cada mês,
15 the first-fruits of the ancient mountains, the best from the hil s of old	15 as primícias dos montes antigos, o que há de melhor nas colinas eternas,
16 the best of the land and al it holds, the favour of him who dwells in the Bush. May the hair grow thickon the head of Joseph, on the brow of the consecrated one among his brothers!	16 os frutos excelentes da terra, e tudo o que ela contém! Possa o favor daquele que habitou na sarça repousar sobre a cabeça de José, sobre a fronte do eleito entre os irmãos!
17 First-born of the Bul , his the glory. His horns are the wild ox's horns, with which he gores thepeoples to the very ends of the earth. Such are the myriads of Ephraim, such are the thousands of Manasseh.	17 Glória a esse touro primogênito! São chifres de búfalo os seus chifres; com eles agride todos os povos até os confins da terra! 20 Of Gad he said: Blessed be he who gives Gad space enough! He lies there like a lioness; he hassavaged arm and face and head.	20 Para Gad disse: bendito seja quem dilatar Gad! Ele se agacha como uma leoa, e despedaça braço e cabeça;
21 Then he took the first portion for himself, saw that there was stored up for him a leader's share. Hehas come at the head of the people, has carried out the saving justice of Yahweh and his judgements on Israel.	21 escolheu para si as primícias da terra, porque ali estava a porção do chefe. Avança à frente do povo, cumprindo a justiça do Senhor e os seus juízos com Israel.
22 Of Dan he said: Dan is a lion cub leaping from Bashan.	22 Para Dá disse: Dá é um leãozinho, que salta de Basã.
23 Of Naphtali he said: Naphtali, sated with favours, fil ed with the blessings of Yahweh: the west andsouth are to be his domain.	23 Para Neftali disse: Neftali, saciado de delícias, cumulado das bênçãos do Senhor, toma possessão do mar e do sul.
24 Of Asher he said: Most blessed of the sons let Asher be! Let him be the most privileged of hisbrothers and let him bathe his feet in oil!	24 Para Aser disse: bendito seja Aser entre todos os filhos! Seja o favorito de seus irmãos, e mergulhe os pés no óleo.
25 Be your bolts of iron and of bronze and your security as lasting as your days!	25 Teus ferrolhos serão de ferro e bronze, e tua segurança durará toda a tua existência.
26 No one is like the God of Jeshurun: he rides the heavens to your rescue, rides the clouds in hismajesty!	26 Ninguém como o Deus de Jesurum,
27 The God of old is your refuge, his the eternal arm which here below drives the enemy before you; heit is who says, 'Destroy!'	27 o Deus dos tempos antigos que é o teu refúgio e teu apoio os seus braços eternos, que, para te socorrer, cavalga os céus e as nuvens majestosamente. Expulsa o inimigo de diante de ti e te diz: Extermina!
28 Israel rests trustfully. The well-spring of Jacob is chosen out for a land of corn and wine; thereheaven itself rains down dew.	28 Israel habita em segurança, fonte de Jacó corre, na solidão, numa terra de trigo e de vinho, o céu destila-lhe o orvalho.
29 Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, O victorious people? Yahweh is the shield that protectsyou and the sword that leads you to triumph. Your enemies wil try to corrupt you, but you yourself wil trample ontheir backs.	29 Tu és feliz, ó Israel! Quem é, como tu, povo salvo pelo Senhor, escudo que te protege, espada que te engrandece? Teus inimigos virão adular-te, mas tu pisarás por cima deles.
