Deuteronomy 33

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 This is the blessing that Moses, man of God, pronounced over the Israelites before he died.	1 Esta es la bendición con que Moisés, el hombre de Dios, bendijo a los israelitas antes de morir.
2 He said: Yahweh came from Sinai, from Seir he dawned on us, from Mount Paran blazed forth, Forthem he came, after the mustering at Kadesh, from his zenith as far as the foothil s.	2 El dijo: «El Señor vino del Sinaí, brilló para ellos desde Seír; resplandeció desde el monte Parán y llegó a Meribá de Cades, desde el sur hasta las pendientes.
3 You who love the ancestors! Your holy ones are all at your command. At your feet they fell, under yourguidance went swiftly on.	3 El ama de veras a los pueblos; ¡todos sus santos están en tus manos! Ellos se postran a tus pies, cada uno recibe tus palabras.
4 (Moses enjoined a law on us.) The assembly of Jacob comes into its inheritance;	4 Moisés nos prescribió una Ley, que es la posesión de la asamblea de Jacob.
5 there was a king in Jeshurun when the heads of the people foregathered and the tribes of Israel wereal assembled!	5 Y hubo un rey en lesurún, cuando se reunieron los jefes del pueblo, junto con las tribus de Israel.

7 Of Judah he said this: Listen, Yahweh, to the voice of Judah, and bring him back to his people. Thathis hands may defend his rights, come to his help against his foes!	7 De Judá dijo lo siguiente: «Escucha, Señor, la voz de Judá, y reintégralo a su pueblo; él se defenderá con su mano y tú serás una ayuda contra sus adversarios».
8 Of Levi he said: To Levi, give your urim, to your faithful one, your thummim, having tested him atMassah, having striven with him at the Waters of Meribah.	8 Dijo acerca de Leví: «Que tu Tumim y tu Urim estén con tu hombre de confianza: el que pusiste a prueba en Masá y por quien litigaste junto a las aguas de Meribá;
9 Of his father and mother, he says, 'I have not seen them.' He does not acknowledge his brothers, nordoes he know his own children. Yes, they have kept your word, they hold firmly to your covenant.	9 el que dijo de su padre y de su madre: «No los he visto»; el que no reconoció a sus hermanos e ignoró hasta a sus propios hijos. Porque ellos observaron tu palabra y mantuvieron tu alianza.
10 They wil teach your customs to Jacob, and your Law to Israel. They wil put incense before you andburnt offerings on your altar.	10 Ellos enseñan tus normas a Jacob y tu Ley a Israel; hacen subir hasta ti el incienso y ofrecen el holocausto en tu altar.
11 Yahweh, bless his worthiness, and accept the actions he performs. Crush the loins of those who riseagainst him and of his foes, so that they rise no more!	11 Bendice, Señor, su valor y acepta la obra de sus manos. Castiga las espaldas de su agresores y que sus enemigos no se levanten más».
12 Of Benjamin he said: Beloved of Yahweh, he rests trustful y near him. The Most High protects himday after day and dwel s between his hil sides.	12 Dijo acerca de Benjamín: «El amado del Señor habita seguro junto a aquel que lo protege constantemente; y habita entre los flancos de sus colinas».
13 Of Joseph he said: His land is blessed by Yahweh. For him the best of heaven's dew and of the deepthat lies below,	13 Dijo acerca de José: «Que el Señor bendiga su tierra con el más excelente don del cielo –el rocío– y con el océano que se extiende por debajo;
14 the best of what the sun makes grow, of what springs with every month,	14 con los mejores productos del sol y los brotes más escogidos de cada lunación;
15 the first-fruits of the ancient mountains, the best from the hil s of old	15 con las primicias de las montañas seculares y la riqueza de las colinas eternas;
16 the best of the land and al it holds, the favour of him who dwells in the Bush. May the hair grow thickon the head of Joseph, on the brow of the consecrated one among his brothers!	16 con la fecundidad de la tierra y con su plenitud. y con el favor del que mora en la Zarza. Que todo esto descienda sobre la cabeza de José, sobre la frente del consagrado entre sus hermanos.
17 First-born of the Bul , his the glory. His horns are the wild ox's horns, with which he gores thepeoples to the very ends of the earth. Such are the myriads of Ephraim, such are the thousands of Manasseh.	17 El es un toro primogénito: a él, la gloria; sus cuernos son cuernos de búfalo: con ellos embiste a los pueblos hasta los confines de la tierra. Así son las decenas de miles de Efraím, así son los millares de Manasés».
18 Of Zebulun he said: Prosper, Zebulun, in your expeditions, and you, Issachar, in your tents!	18 Dijo acerca de Zabulón: «Alégrate, Zabulón, de tus salidas, y tú, Isacar, en tus carpas.
19 On the mountain where the people come to pray they offer upright sacrifices, for they taste the richesof the seas and the treasures hidden in the sands.	19 Ellos convocan a los pueblos en la montaña. donde ofrecen sacrificios legítimos, porque disfrutan de la abundancia de los mares y de los tesoros ocultos en la arena».
20 Of Gad he said: Blessed be he who gives Gad space enough! He lies there like a lioness; he hassavaged arm and face and head.	20 Dijo acerca de Gad: «¡Bendito sea el que abre campo libre a Gad! Tendido como una leona, despedaza el brazo y también la cabeza.
21 Then he took the first portion for himself, saw that there was stored up for him a leader's share. Hehas come at the head of the people, has carried out the saving justice of Yahweh and his judgements on Israel.	21 El se atribuyó las primicias, porque allí estaba reservada la porción de un jefe. El vino con los jefes del pueblo, ejecutó la justicia del Señor y sus juicios en favor de Israel».
22 Of Dan he said: Dan is a lion cub leaping from Bashan.	22 Dijo acerca de Dan: «Dan es un cachorro de león, que se abalanza desde Basán».
23 Of Naphtali he said: Naphtali, sated with favours, fil ed with the blessings of Yahweh: the west andsouth are to be his domain.	23 Dijo acerca de Neftalí: «Neftalí, saciado de favor y colmado de la bendición del Señor, toma posesión del oeste y del sur».
24 Of Asher he said: Most blessed of the sons let Asher be! Let him be the most privileged of hisbrothers and let him bathe his feet in oil!	24 Y dijo acerca de Aser: «¡Bendito sea Aser entre todos los hijos! Que sea el favorito de sus hermanos y que bañe sus pies en aceite.
25 Be your bolts of iron and of bronze and your security as lasting as your days!	25 Que tus cerrojos sean de hierro y de bronce, y tu poder dure tanto como tus días.
26 No one is like the God of Jeshurun: he rides the heavens to your rescue, rides the clouds in hismajesty!	26 lesurún, no hay nadie como Dios, que cabalga por los cielos para venir en tu ayuda. y por las nubes, lleno de majestad.
27 The God of old is your refuge, his the eternal arm which here below drives the enemy before you; heit is who says, 'Destroy!'	27 El Dios de los tiempos antiguos es un refugio, y sus brazos obran desde siempre aquí abajo. El expulsó a tus enemigos delante de ti y ordenó ¡Extermina!
28 Israel rests trustfully. The well-spring of Jacob is chosen out for a land of corn and wine; thereheaven itself rains down dew.	28 Así Israel habita seguro, la fuente de Jacob, en un lugar apartado, en una tierra de trigo y de vino, cuyo cielo destila rocío.
29 Blessed are you, O Israel! Who is like you, O victorious people? Yahweh is the shield that protectsyou and the sword that leads you to triumph. Your enemies wil try to corrupt you, but you yourself wil trample ontheir backs.	29 ¡Dichoso tú, Israel! ¿Quién es como tú, pueblo salvado por el Señor? El es tu escudo protector, tu espada victoriosa. Tus enemigos te adularán, pero tú pisotearás sus espaldas».
