Deuteronomy 16

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 'Observe the month of Abib and celebrate the Passover for Yahweh your God, because it was in themonth of Abib that Yahweh your God brought you out of Egypt by night.	1 No mês das espigas, cuida de celebrar a Páscoa em honra do Senhor, teu Deus, porque foi nesse mês que ele te fez sair do Egito, durante a noite.
2 You must sacrifice a Passover from your flock or herd for Yahweh your God in the place whereYahweh chooses to give his name a home.	2 Imolarás ao Senhor, teu Deus, em sacrifício pascal, gado grande e miúdo, no lugar que ele tiver escolhido para aí residir o seu nome.
3 You must not eat leavened bread with this; for seven days you must eat it with unleavened bread --the bread of affliction -- since you left Egypt in great haste; this is so that, as long as you live, you wil rememberthe day you came out of Egypt.	3 Não comerás pão fermentado com essas vítimas; durante sete dias comerás pão sem fermento, um pão de aflição, porque saíste às pressas do Egito, para te lembrares assim durante toda a tua vida do dia de tua partida.
4 For seven days no leaven must be found in any house throughout your territory, nor must any of themeat that you sacrifice in the evening of the first day be kept overnight until the next day.	4 Durante sete dias não se verá fermento em toda a extensão do teu território; e, da carne que tiveres imolado à tarde do primeiro dia, nada se guardará até pela manhã.
5 You must sacrifice the Passover not in any of the towns given you by Yahweh your God,	5 Não poderás imolar a Páscoa em qualquer das moradas que o Senhor, teu Deus, te há de dar;
6 but in the place where Yahweh your God chooses to give his name a home; there you must sacrificethe Passover, in the evening at sunset, at the hour when you came out of Egypt.	6 mas somente no lugar que o Senhor, teu Deus, tiver escolhido para aí habitar o seu nome, é que imolarás ,a Páscoa, à tarde, depois do pôr-do-sol, à hora em que saíste do Egito.
7 You wil cook it and eat it in the place chosen by Yahweh your God, and in the morning you mustreturn and go to your tents.	7 Cozerás e comerás a vítima no lugar escolhido pelo Senhor, teu Deus. Ao amanhecer, voltarás para a tua tenda.
8 For six days you wil eat unleavened bread; on the seventh day there wil be an assembly for Yahwehyour God; and you must do no work.	8 Durante seis dias comerás pães ázimos e, no sétimo dia, dia em que não farás trabalho algum, haverá uma assembléia solene em honra do Senhor, teu Deus.
9 'You must count seven weeks, counting these seven weeks from the time you begin to put your sickleinto the standing corn.	9 Contarás sete semanas, a partir do momento em que meteres a foice em tua seara.
10 You wil then celebrate the feast of Weeks for Yahweh your God with the gift of a voluntary offeringproportionate to the degree in which Yahweh your God has blessed you.	10 Celebrarás então a festa das Semanas em honra do Senhor, teu Deus, apresentando a oferta espontânea de tua mão, a qual medirás segundo as bênçãos com que o Senhor, teu Deus, te cumulou.
11 You must rejoice in the presence of Yahweh your God, in the place where Yahweh your Godchooses to give his name a home, you, your son and your daughter, your serving men and women, the Leviteliving in your community, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow living among you.	11 Alegrar-te-ás em presença do Senhor, teu Deus, com teu filho, tua filha, teu servo e tua serva, o levita que vive em teus muros, assim como o estrangeiro, o órfão e a viúva que vivem no meio de ti, no lugar escolhido pelo Senhor, teu Deus, para aí habitar o seu nome.
12 Remember that you were once a slave in Egypt, and careful y observe these laws.	12 Lembra-te de que foste escravo no Egito, e cuida de observar estas leis.
13 'You must celebrate the feast of Shelters for seven days, at the time when you gather in the produceof your threshing-floor and winepress.	13 Celebrarás a festa dos Tabernáculos durante sete dias, quando tiveres recolhido o produto de tua eira e de teu lagar.
14 You must rejoice at your feast, you, your son and your daughter, your serving men and women, theLevite, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow living in your community.	14 Alegrar-te-ás nessa festa, com teu filho, tua filha, teu servo e tua serva, assim como o levita, o estrangeiro, o órfão e a viúva que estiverem em teus muros.
15 For seven days, you must celebrate the feast for Yahweh your God in the place chosen by Yahweh;for Yahweh your God wil bless you in al your produce and in al your undertakings, so that you will have goodreason to rejoice.	15 Durante sete dias festejarás o Senhor, teu Deus, no lugar escolhido por ele, porque ele te abençoará em todos os teus frutos e em todo o trabalho das tuas mãos, e estarás assim na alegria.
16 'Three times a year al your menfolk must appear before Yahweh your God in the place chosen byhim: at the feast of Unleavened Bread, at the feast of Weeks, at the feast of Shelters. No one must appearempty-handed before Yahweh,	16 Três vezes por ano, todos os vossos varões se apresentarão diante do Senhor teu Deus, no lugar que ele tiver escolhido: na festa dos Ázimos, na festa das Semanas e na festa dos tabernáculos: não aparecerão diante do Senhor com as mãos vazias.
17 but each must give what he can, in proportion to the blessing which Yahweh your God has bestowedon you.	17 Cada um dará segundo o que tiver, em proporção das bênçãos que o Senhor, teu Deus, lhe tiver dado.
18 'You must appoint judges and scribes in each of the towns that Yahweh your God is giving you, foral your tribes; these are to mete out proper justice to the people.	18 Estabelecerás juízes e notários em todas as cidades que o Senhor, teu Deus, te tiver dado, em cada uma das tribos, para que julguem o povo com eqüidade.
19 You must not pervert the law; you must be impartial; you wil take no bribes, for a bribe blinds theeyes of the wise and ruins the cause of the upright.	19 Não farás curvar a justiça, e não farás distinção de pessoas; não aceitarás presentes, porque os presentes cegam os olhos do sábio e destroem a causa dos justos.
20 Strict justice must be your ideal, so that you may live long in possession of the country given you byYahweh your God.	20 Deves procurar unicamente a justiça, para que vivas e possuas a terra que te dá o Senhor, teu Deus.
21 'You must not plant a sacred pole of any wood whatsoever beside the altar which you erect forYahweh your God;	21 Não colocarás asserá alguma nem plantarás qualquer árvore ao lado do altar que levantares ao Senhor, teu Deus.
22 nor wil you set up a standing-stone, a thing Yahweh your God would abhor.'	22 Não erigirás estrelas, porque o Senhor, teu Deus, as detesta.
