Deuteronomy 16

1 'Observe the month of Abib and celebrate the Passover for Yahweh your God, because it was in themonth of Abib that Yahweh your God brought you out of Egypt by night.	1 Osserva il mese della nuova messe, che è il primo della primavera, affin di celebrare la Pasqua in onore del Signore Dio tuo: perché in questo mese il Signore Dio tuo ti trasse dall’Egitto di notte tempo.
2 You must sacrifice a Passover from your flock or herd for Yahweh your God in the place whereYahweh chooses to give his name a home.	2 E immolerai al Signore Dio tuo la Pasqua in pecore, e in bovi nel luogo eletto dal Signore Dio tuo pel suo culto.
3 You must not eat leavened bread with this; for seven days you must eat it with unleavened bread --the bread of affliction -- since you left Egypt in great haste; this is so that, as long as you live, you wil rememberthe day you came out of Egypt.	3 Non mangerai colla Pasqua pane fermentato. Per sette giorni mangerai il pane di afflizione senza lievito, perché tu con paura uscisti dall'Egitto; affinché ti ricordi della tua uscita dall'Egitto per tutti i giorni della tua vita.
4 For seven days no leaven must be found in any house throughout your territory, nor must any of themeat that you sacrifice in the evening of the first day be kept overnight until the next day.	4 Non si vedrà lievito dentro de' tuoi confini per sette giorni, e delle carni della vittima immolata il primo dì alla sera, non ne resterà fino alla mattina.
5 You must sacrifice the Passover not in any of the towns given you by Yahweh your God,	5 Non potrai immolare la Pasqua in qualsisia delle tue città, le quali saran date a te dal Signore Dio tuo;
6 but in the place where Yahweh your God chooses to give his name a home; there you must sacrificethe Passover, in the evening at sunset, at the hour when you came out of Egypt.	6 Ma si nel luogo eletto dal Signore Dio tuo pel suo culto immolerai la Pasqua la sera al tramontar del sole nel tempo di tua uscita dall'Egitto.
7 You wil cook it and eat it in the place chosen by Yahweh your God, and in the morning you mustreturn and go to your tents.	7 E la cuocerai, e la mangerai nel luogo eletto dal Signore Dio tuo, e la mattina alzandoti andrai a casa tua.
8 For six days you wil eat unleavened bread; on the seventh day there wil be an assembly for Yahwehyour God; and you must do no work.	8 Per sei giorni mangerai gli azzimi: e il settimo giorno non lavorerai, perché è la solenne raunanza in onor del Signore Dio tuo.
9 'You must count seven weeks, counting these seven weeks from the time you begin to put your sickleinto the standing corn.	9 Conterai sette settimane dal dì, in cui porrai la falce nella messe.
10 You wil then celebrate the feast of Weeks for Yahweh your God with the gift of a voluntary offeringproportionate to the degree in which Yahweh your God has blessed you.	10 E celebrerai la festa delle settimane in onor del Signore Dio tuo, colla obblazione spontanea, che tu farai di tue facoltà, a proporzione del bene, che ha dato a te il Signore Dio tuo.
11 You must rejoice in the presence of Yahweh your God, in the place where Yahweh your Godchooses to give his name a home, you, your son and your daughter, your serving men and women, the Leviteliving in your community, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow living among you.	11 E farai banchetto dinanzi al Signore Dio tuo, tu, e il tuo figliuolo, e la tua figlia, il tuo servo, e la tua serva, e il Levita, che abita dentro le tue porte, il forestiero, e il pupillo, e la vedova, che dimoran tra voi, nel luogo eletto dal Signore Dio tuo per istabilirvi il suo culto:
12 Remember that you were once a slave in Egypt, and careful y observe these laws.	12 E ti ricorderai, come tu fosti schiavo in Egitto, e osserverai, e farai le cose, che ti sono ordinate.
13 'You must celebrate the feast of Shelters for seven days, at the time when you gather in the produceof your threshing-floor and winepress.	13 Celebrerai parimente la solennità de' tabernacoli per sette giorni, finita la raccolta, e la vendemmia:
14 You must rejoice at your feast, you, your son and your daughter, your serving men and women, theLevite, the foreigner, the orphan and the widow living in your community.	14 E farai banchetto in questa tua solennità tu, e il tuo figliuolo, e la figlia, il tuo servo, e la serva, il Levita parimente, e il forestiero, il pupillo, e la vedova, che abitano dentro le tue porte.
15 For seven days, you must celebrate the feast for Yahweh your God in the place chosen by Yahweh;for Yahweh your God wil bless you in al your produce and in al your undertakings, so that you will have goodreason to rejoice.	15 Celebrerai questa festa in onor del Signore Dio tuo per sette giorni nel luogo eletto dal Signore: e il Signore Dio tuo ti darà benedizione in tutti i frutti della tua terra, e in tutte le opere delle tue mani, e sarai consolato.
16 'Three times a year al your menfolk must appear before Yahweh your God in the place chosen byhim: at the feast of Unleavened Bread, at the feast of Weeks, at the feast of Shelters. No one must appearempty-handed before Yahweh,	16 Tutti i tuoi maschi tre volte l'anno si presenteranno al cospetto del Signore Dio tuo nel luogo eletto da lui: nella solennità degli azzimi, nella solennità delle settimane, e nella solennità de' tabernacoli. Non si presenteranno al Signore colle mani vote.
17 but each must give what he can, in proportion to the blessing which Yahweh your God has bestowedon you.	17 Ma ognuno farà offerta secondo le sue facoltà, e secondo la benedizione datagli dal Signore Dio suo.
18 'You must appoint judges and scribes in each of the towns that Yahweh your God is giving you, foral your tribes; these are to mete out proper justice to the people.	18 Tu metterai de' giudici, e de’ magistrati in tutte le porte della città, che ti saran date dal Signore Dio tuo, e in ciascuna delle tue tribù: affinché giudichino il popolo con buona giustizia,
19 You must not pervert the law; you must be impartial; you wil take no bribes, for a bribe blinds theeyes of the wise and ruins the cause of the upright.	19 E non propendano verso una delle parti. Tu non sarai accettator di persone, né di donativi; perocché i donativi acciecano gli occhi dei saggi, e alterano il linguaggio de' giusti.
20 Strict justice must be your ideal, so that you may live long in possession of the country given you byYahweh your God.	20 Amministrerai la giustizia da giusto, affinché tu possa vivere, e possedere la terra, che il Signore Dio tuo ti avrà dato.
21 'You must not plant a sacred pole of any wood whatsoever beside the altar which you erect forYahweh your God;	21 Non pianterai boschetto, né alcun albero presso all’altare del Signor Dio tuo.
22 nor wil you set up a standing-stone, a thing Yahweh your God would abhor.'	22 Non ti fabbricherai, né erigerai alcun simulacro: questi sono in odio al Signore Dio tuo.
