Deuteronomy 10

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 'Yahweh then said to me, "Cut two stone tablets like the first ones, and come up to me on themountain. Make an ark of wood;	1 Ugyanabban az időben azt mondta nekem az Úr: ‘Faragj magadnak két ugyanolyan kőtáblát, mint az elsők voltak, s készíts egy faládát, s gyere fel hozzám a hegyre.
2 on the tablets I shal inscribe the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke; put them in theark."	2 E táblákra majd ráírom azokat az igéket, amelyek azokon a táblákon voltak, amelyeket a múltkor összetörtél, aztán tedd őket a ládába.’
3 So I made an ark of acacia wood, cut two stone tablets like the first and went up the mountain with thetwo tablets in my hand.	3 Csináltam tehát akácfából egy ládát, s miután faragtam két ugyanolyan kőtáblát, mint az elsők voltak, felmentem a hegyre, kezemben a táblákkal.
4 And he inscribed the tablets, as he had inscribed them before, with the Ten Words which Yahweh hadsaid to you on the mountain, from the heart of the fire, on the day of the Assembly. Yahweh then gave them tome.	4 Rá is írta a táblákra úgy, ahogy először írta, azt a tíz igét, amelyet az Úr a hegyen, a tűz közepéből, a nép egybegyűltekor mondott nektek, s aztán ideadta azokat nekem.
5 I turned and came down from the mountain and put the tablets in the ark I had made, and there theystayed, as Yahweh had commanded me.	5 Erre megfordultam, lejöttem a hegyről, s beletettem a táblákat abba a ládába, amelyet csináltam – ott is vannak mostanáig –, amint az Úr parancsolta nekem.
6 'The Israelites left the wel s of the Bene-Jaakan for Moserah, where Aaron died; he was buried there,and his son Eleazar succeeded him in the priesthood.	6 Amikor aztán Izrael fiai elindították a tábort, Jákán fiainak Berótjából Mószerbe, ott meghalt Áron, s ott el is temették. Helyette fia, Eleazár vette át a papságot.
7 From there, they set out for Gudgodah, and from Gudgodah for Jotbathah, an area rich in streams.	7 Innen Gidgádba jutottak, majd elindultak onnan és Jetebátában, a vizek és patakok földjén ütöttek tábort.
8 Yahweh then set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of Yahweh's covenant, to stand in thepresence of Yahweh, to serve him and to bless in his name, as they stil do today.	8 Ugyanabban az időben kiválasztotta az Úr Lévi törzsét, hogy hordozza az Úr szövetségének ládáját, álljon előtte a szolgálatban, s áldást adjon az ő nevében, mint ahogy mind a mai napig van.
9 This is why Levi has no share or heritage with his brothers: Yahweh is his heritage, as Yahweh yourGod then told him.	9 Ezért nem jutott Lévinek osztályrész és birtok a testvérei között; maga az Úr ugyanis az ő birtoka, amint az Úr, a te Istened megígérte neki.
10 'And, as before, I stayed on the mountain for forty days and forty nights. And again Yahweh heardmy prayer and agreed not to destroy you.	10 Én tehát ott álltam a hegyen, miként először, negyven nap és negyven éjen át, s az Úr ezúttal is meghallgatott engem: nem akart elveszteni téged.
11 And Yahweh said to me, "Be on your way at the head of this people, so that they can go and takepossession of the country which I swore to their ancestors that I would give them."	11 Aztán azt mondta nekem: ‘Eredj, s menj a nép élére, hogy elérje és elfoglalja azt a földet, amely felől megesküdtem atyáiknak, hogy nekik adom.’
12 'And now, Israel, what does Yahweh your God ask of you? Only this: to fear Yahweh your God, tofol ow all his ways, to love him, to serve Yahweh your God with al your heart and al your soul,	12 Nos tehát, Izrael, mi mást kíván az Úr, a te Istened tőled, mint azt, hogy féld az Urat, a te Istenedet, az ő útjain járj, szeresd őt és szolgálj az Úrnak, a te Istenednek teljes szívedből és teljes lelkedből,
13 to keep the commandments and laws of Yahweh, which I am laying down for you today for your owngood.	13 s tartsd meg az Úr parancsait és szertartásait, amelyeket ma parancsolok neked, hogy jó dolgod legyen.
14 'Look, to Yahweh your God belong heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth and everything onit;	14 Íme, az Úré, a te Istenedé az ég s az ég ege, a föld s mindaz, ami rajta van,
15 yet it was on your ancestors, for love of them, that Yahweh set his heart to love them, and he chosetheir descendants after them, you yourselves, out of all nations, up to the present day.	15 mégis a ti atyáitokhoz ragaszkodott az Úr, s őket szerette s az ő utódaikat, vagyis titeket választott ki minden nép közül, miként ez ma nyilvánvaló.
16 Circumcise your heart then and be obstinate no longer;	16 Metéljétek tehát körül szívetek előbőrét, s ne keményítsétek meg többé nyakatokat,
17 for Yahweh your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, triumphant and terrible, free of favouritism, never to be bribed.	17 mert az Úr, a ti Istenetek az istenek Istene s az urak Ura, nagy, hatalmas és félelmetes Isten, aki nem néz sem személyre, sem ajándékra,
18 He it is who sees justice done for the orphan and the widow, who loves the stranger and gives himfood and clothing.	18 igazságot szolgáltat árvának és özvegynek, szereti a jövevényt, s ad neki eledelt és ruházatot.
19 (Love the stranger then, for you were once strangers in Egypt.)	19 Szeressétek tehát ti is a jövevényt, mert ti is jövevények voltatok Egyiptom földjén.
20 Yahweh your God is the one whom you must fear and serve; to him you must hold firm; in his nametake your oaths.	20 Az Urat, a te Istenedet féljed, csak őneki szolgálj, őhozzá ragaszkodj, s az ő nevére esküdj.
21 Him you must praise, he is your God: for you he has done these great and terrible things which youhave seen for yourselves;	21 Ő a te dicsőséged és a te Istened, ő művelte veled azokat a nagy és félelmetes dolgokat, amelyeket tulajdon szemed látott.
22 and, although your ancestors numbered only seventy persons when they went down to Egypt,Yahweh your God has now made you as many as the stars of heaven.'	22 Hetven lélekkel mentek le atyáid Egyiptomba, s íme, most úgy megsokasított téged az Úr, a te Istened, mint az ég csillagait.
