Luke 6

NEW JERUSALEM	Біблія
1 It happened that one Sabbath he was walking through the cornfields, and his disciples were pickingears of corn, rubbing them in their hands and eating them.	1 Одного разу в суботу, коли Ісус проходив засіяними ланами, учні його зривали колоски й, розтерши їх руками, їли.
2 Some of the Pharisees said, 'Why are you doing something that is forbidden on the Sabbath day?'	2 Деякі з фарисеїв їм сказали «Чому ви робите те, чого не годиться робити в суботу»
3 Jesus answered them, 'So you have not read what David did when he and his fol owers were hungry-	3 Ісус відповів їм «Хіба ви не читали, що зробив Давид, як зголоднів, він сам і ті, що були з ним
4 how he went into the house of God and took the loaves of the offering and ate them and gave them tohis fol owers, loaves which the priests alone are al owed to eat?'	4 Як він увійшов у дім Божий, взяв жертовні хліби, їв їх і давав тим, що були з ним, — хліби, яких не дозволено їсти, хіба що тільки самим священикам»
5 And he said to them, 'The Son of man is master of the Sabbath.'	5 Далі сказав їм «Син Чоловічий — Владика і суботи.»
6 Now on another Sabbath he went into the synagogue and began to teach, and a man was present, andhis right hand was withered.	6 Раз якось, другої суботи, ввійшов він у синагогу й почав навчати. А був там чоловік з сухою правою рукою.
7 The scribes and the Pharisees were watching him to see if he would cure somebody on the Sabbath,hoping to find something to charge him with.	7 От книжники та фарисеї почали за ним назирати, чи він оздоровить у суботу, щоб знайти якенебудь оскарження на нього.
8 But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man with the withered hand, 'Get up and stand out in themiddle!' And he came forward and stood there.	8 Ісус же знав думки їхні і сказав до чоловіка, який мав суху руку «Підведись і стань посередині!» Підвівся той і став.
9 Then Jesus said to them, 'I put it to you: is it permitted on the Sabbath to do good, or to do evil; to savelife, or to destroy it?'	9 Тоді Ісус до них промовив «Питаю вас Чи годиться в суботу добро чинити, чи зло робити Спасти життя, чи погубити»
10 Then he looked round at them al and said to the man, 'Stretch out your hand.' He did so, and his handwas restored.	10 І поглянувши кругом на всіх них, сказав до нього «Простягни свою руку!» Той зробив так, і його рука стала здорова.
11 But they were furious and began to discuss the best way of dealing with Jesus.	11 Вони ж наповнилися люті й змовлялися між собою, що їм Ісусові зробити
12 Now it happened in those days that he went onto the mountain to pray; and he spent the whole night inprayer to God.	12 Тими днями він вийшов на гору молитись і провів усю ніч на молитві до Бога.
13 When day came he summoned his disciples and picked out twelve of them; he cal ed them 'apostles':	13 А як настав день, покликав своїх учнів і вибрав з них дванадцятьох, яких назвав апостолами
14 Simon whom he called Peter, and his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew,	14 Симона, якого назвав Петром, Андрія, його брата, Якова, Йоана, Филипа, Вартоломея,
15 Matthew, Thomas, James son of Alphaeus, Simon cal ed the Zealot,	15 Матея, Тому, Якова, сина Алфея, Симона на прізвище Зилота,
16 Judas son of James, and Judas Iscariot who became a traitor.	16 Юду, сина Якова та Юду Іскаріотського, який став зрадником.
17 He then came down with them and stopped at a piece of level ground where there was a largegathering of his disciples, with a great crowd of people from al parts of Judaea and Jerusalem and the coastalregion of Tyre and Sidon	17 Зійшовши з ними, він став на рівнім місці, й була там велика сила його учнів і людей вельми багато з Юдеї та з Єрусалиму, і з побережжя Тиру та Сидону.
18 who had come to hear him and to be cured of their diseases. People tormented by unclean spirits werealso cured,	18 Вони прийшли послухати його й оздоровитись від своїх недуг; і всі ті, що їх мучили нечисті духи, теж оздоровлялись.
19 and everyone in the crowd was trying to touch him because power came out of him that cured them al .	19 Увесь народ намагався його торкнутися, бо сила виходила з нього й усіх оздоровляла.
20 Then fixing his eyes on his disciples he said: How blessed are you who are poor: the kingdom of Godis yours.	20 Тоді він, звівши на своїх учнів очі, почав казати «Блаженні вбогі, — бо ваше Царство Боже.
21 Blessed are you who are hungry now: you shal have your fil . Blessed are you who are weeping now:you shall laugh.	21 Блаженні, голодні нині, бо ви насититеся. Блаженні, що плачете нині, бо будете сміятись.
22 'Blessed are you when people hate you, drive you out, abuse you, denounce your name as criminal,on account of the Son of man.	22 Блаженні будете, коли вас ненавидітимуть люди, коли вас вилучать, коли ганьбитимуть вас та коли викинуть, як безчесне, ваше ім’я Сина Чоловічого ради.
23 Rejoice when that day comes and dance for joy, look!-your reward wil be great in heaven. This wasthe way their ancestors treated the prophets.	23 Радійте того дня і веселіться, бо ваша нагорода велика в небі. Так само бо поводилися з пророками батьки їхні.
24 But alas for you who are rich: you are having your consolation now.	24 Горе ж вам, багатим, бо ви одержали втіху вашу.
25 Alas for you who have plenty to eat now: you shal go hungry. Alas for you who are laughing now: youshall mourn and weep.	25 Горе вам, що ситі нині, бо будете голодувати. Горе вам, що смієтеся нині, бо будете ридати й сумувати.
26 'Alas for you when everyone speaks wel of you! This was the way their ancestors treated the falseprophets.	26 Горе вам, коли про вас усі люди будуть добре говорити. Так само бо з ложними пророками поводилися батьки їхні.
27 'But I say this to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,	27 А вам, що слухаєте, кажу Любіть ворогів ваших, добро чиніте тим, які вас ненавидять,
28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who treat you badly.	28 благословляйте тих, які вас проклинають, моліться за тих, що вас зневажають.
29 To anyone who slaps you on one cheek, present the other cheek as well; to anyone who takes yourcloak from you, do not refuse your tunic.	29 Тому, хто б’є тебе в одну щоку, підстав і другу; хто ж бере в тебе свиту, не борони й одежі.
30 Give to everyone who asks you, and do not ask for your property back from someone who takes it.	30 Дай кожному, хто тебе просить; хто бере щось твоє, не допоминайся.
31 Treat others as you would like people to treat you.	31 І як бажаєте, щоб вам чинили люди, чиніть їм і ви так само.
32 If you love those who love you, what credit can you expect? Even sinners love those who love them.	32 Коли ви любите тих, що вас люблять, яка вам заслуга Таж бо й грішники люблять тих, що їх люблять.
33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit can you expect? For even sinners do thatmuch.	33 І коли чините добро тим, що вам чинять, яка вам заслуга Та й грішники те саме чинять.
34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to get money back, what credit can you expect? Evensinners lend to sinners to get back the same amount.	34 І коли ви позичаєте тим, від кого маєте надію назад узяти, яка вам заслуга Адже і грішники грішникам позичають, щоб відібрати від них рівне.
35 Instead, love your enemies and do good to them, and lend without any hope of return. You wil have agreat reward, and you wil be children of the Most High, for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.	35 Ви ж любіть ворогів ваших, добро чиніте їм, і позичайте, не чекаючи назад нічого, а велика буде ваша нагорода, й будете Всевишнього синами, бо він благий для злих і невдячних.
36 'Be compassionate just as your Father is compassionate.	36 Будьте милосердні, як і Отець ваш милосердний.
37 Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you wil not be condemned; forgive,and you wil be forgiven.	37 Не судіть, і не будете суджені; не засуджуйте, й не будете засуджені; простіть, і вам проститься.
38 Give, and there wil be gifts for you: a ful measure, pressed down, shaken together, and overflowing,wil be poured into your lap; because the standard you use will be the standard used for you.'	38 Дайте, то й вам дасться міру добру, натоптану, потрясену, переповнену дадуть вам. Якою бо мірою ви міряєте, такою й вам відміряють.»
39 He also told them a parable, 'Can one blind person guide another? Surely both wil fal into a pit?	39 Він їм сказав також і притчу «Чи може сліпий водити сліпого Хіба вони обидва не впадуть у яму
40 Disciple is not superior to teacher; but ful y trained disciple wil be like teacher.	40 Учень не більший за вчителя, але, навчившися, кожний буде, як його вчитель.
41 Why do you observe the splinter in your brother's eye and never notice the great log in your own?	41 Чому дивишся на скалку в оці твого брата, колоди ж у власнім оці не відчуваєш
42 How can you say to your brother, "Brother, let me take out that splinter in your eye," when you cannotsee the great log in your own? Hypocrite! Take the log out of your own eye first, and then you wil see clearlyenough to take out the splinter in your brother's eye.	42 І як можеш сказати братові твоєму Дай, брате, вийму скалку, що в твоїм оці, — ти, що не бачиш колоди, що у твоїм оці Лицеміре, вийми перше колоду з ока свого, і тоді побачиш, як вийняти скалку з ока брата твого.
43 'There is no sound tree that produces rotten fruit, nor again a rotten tree that produces sound fruit.	43 Немає доброго дерева, що родило б плід поганий, ані дерева поганого, що родило б плід добрий.
44 Every tree can be told by its own fruit: people do not pick figs from thorns, nor gather grapes frombrambles.	44 Кожне бо дерево за своїм власним плодом пізнається; не зривають бо з тернини смокви, ані з ожини не збирають винограду.
45 Good people draw what is good from the store of goodness in their hearts; bad people draw what isbad from the store of badness. For the words of the mouth flow out of what fil s the heart.	45 Добра людина з доброго скарбу серця свого виносить добре; лиха ж — з лихого (серця) лихе виносить, бо з переповненого серця говорять його уста.
46 'Why do you call me, "Lord, Lord" and not do what I say?	46 Чому ви мене звете Господи, Господи, а не робите, що я говорю
47 'Everyone who comes to me and listens to my words and acts on them -- I wil show you what such aperson is like.	47 Кожний, хто приходить до мене, слухає мої слова й виконує їх, — покажу вам на кого він схожий.
48 Such a person is like the man who, when he built a house, dug, and dug deep, and laid thefoundations on rock; when the river was in flood it bore down on that house but could not shake it, it was so welbuilt.	48 Він схожий на чоловіка, що, будуючи дім, викопав глибоко й поклав підвалину на камінь. І як настала злива, води наперли на дім той, але не могли його захитати, бо він збудований був добре.
49 But someone who listens and does nothing is like the man who built a house on soil, with nofoundations; as soon as the river bore down on it, it col apsed; and what a ruin that house became!'	49 Той же, хто слухає й не чинить, схожий на чоловіка, який збудував дім свій на землі, без підвалин. Води наперли на нього, й він відразу завалився, і руїна того дому була велика.»
