Luke 10

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them out ahead of him in pairs, to all thetowns and places he himself would be visiting.	1 وبعد ذلك عيّن الرب سبعين آخرين ايضا وارسلهم اثنين اثنين امام وجهه الى كل مدينة وموضع حيث كان هو مزمعا ان يأتي.
2 And he said to them, 'The harvest is rich but the labourers are few, so ask the Lord of the harvest tosend labourers to do his harvesting.	2 فقال لهم ان الحصاد كثير ولكن الفعلة قليلون. فاطلبوا من رب الحصاد ان يرسل فعلة الى حصاده.
3 Start off now, but look, I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.	3 اذهبوا. ها انا ارسلكم مثل حملان بين ذئاب.
4 Take no purse with you, no haversack, no sandals. Salute no one on the road.	4 لا تحملوا كيسا ولا مزودا ولا احذية ولا تسلموا على احد في الطريق.
5 Whatever house you enter, let your first words be, "Peace to this house!"	5 واي بيت دخلتموه فقولوا اولا سلام لهذا البيت.
6 And if a man of peace lives there, your peace will go and rest on him; if not, it will come back to you.	6 فان كان هناك ابن السلام يحل سلامكم عليه وإلا فيرجع اليكم.
7 Stay in the same house, taking what food and drink they have to offer, for the labourer deserves hiswages; do not move from house to house.	7 واقيموا في ذلك البيت آكلين وشاربين مما عندهم. لان الفاعل مستحق اجرته. لا تنتقلوا من بيت الى بيت.
8 Whenever you go into a town where they make you welcome, eat what is put before you.	8 واية مدينة دخلتموها وقبلوكم فكلوا مما يقدّم لكم.
9 Cure those in it who are sick, and say, "The kingdom of God is very near to you."	9 واشفوا المرضى الذين فيها وقولوا لهم قد اقترب منكم ملكوت الله.
10 But whenever you enter a town and they do not make you welcome, go out into its streets and say,	10 واية مدينة دخلتموها ولم يقبلوكم فاخرجوا الى شوارعها وقولوا
11 "We wipe off the very dust of your town that clings to our feet, and leave it with you. Yet be sure ofthis: the kingdom of God is very near."	11 حتى الغبار الذي لصق بنا من مدينتكم ننفضه لكم. ولكن اعلموا هذا انه قد اقترب منكم ملكوت الله.
12 I tel you, on the great Day it wil be more bearable for Sodom than for that town.	12 واقول لكم انه يكون لسدوم في ذلك اليوم حالة اكثر احتمالا مما لتلك المدينة
13 'Alas for you, Chorazin! Alas for you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles done in you had been done inTyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.	13 ويل لك يا كورزين. ويل لك يا بيت صيدا. لانه لو صنعت في صور وصيدا القوات المصنوعة فيكما لتابتا قديما جالستين في المسوح والرماد.
14 And still, it wil be more bearable for Tyre and Sidon at the Judgement than for you.	14 ولكن صور وصيدا يكون لهما في الدين حالة اكثر احتمالا مما لكما.
15 And as for you, Capernaum, did you want to be raised high as heaven? You shal be flung down tohell.	15 وانت يا كفرناحوم المرتفعة الى السماء ستهبطين الى الهاوية.
16 'Anyone who listens to you listens to me; anyone who rejects you rejects me, and those who rejectme reject the one who sent me.'	16 الذي يسمع منكم يسمع مني. والذي يرذلكم يرذلني. والذي يرذلني يرذل الذي ارسلني
17 The seventy-two came back rejoicing. 'Lord,' they said, 'even the devils submit to us when we useyour name.'	17 فرجع السبعون بفرح قائلين يا رب حتى الشياطين تخضع لنا باسمك.
18 He said to them, 'I watched Satan fall like lightning from heaven.	18 فقال لهم رأيت الشيطان ساقطا مثل البرق من السماء.
19 Look, I have given you power to tread down serpents and scorpions and the whole strength of theenemy; nothing shal ever hurt you.	19 ها انا اعطيكم سلطانا لتدوسوا الحيّات والعقارب وكل قوة العدو ولا يضركم شيء.
20 Yet do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you; rejoice instead that your names are written inheaven.'	20 ولكن لا تفرحوا بهذا ان الارواح تخضع لكم بل افرحوا بالحري ان اسماءكم كتبت في السموات
21 Just at this time, fil ed with joy by the Holy Spirit, he said, 'I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and ofearth, for hiding these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little children. Yes, Father,for that is what it has pleased you to do.	21 وفي تلك الساعة تهلل يسوع بالروح وقال احمدك ايها الآب رب السماء والارض لانك اخفيت هذه عن الحكماء والفهماء واعلنتها للاطفال. نعم ايها الآب لان هكذا صارت المسرة امامك.
22 Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is except theFather, and who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.'	22 والتفت الى تلاميذه وقال كل شيء قد دفع اليّ من ابي. وليس احد يعرف من هو الابن الا الآب ولا من هو الآب الا الابن ومن اراد الابن ان يعلن له.
23 Then turning to his disciples he spoke to them by themselves, 'Blessed are the eyes that see whatyou see,	23 والتفت الى تلاميذه على انفراد وقال طوبى للعيون التي تنظر ما تنظرونه.
24 for I tel you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see, and never saw it; to hearwhat you hear, and never heard it.'	24 لاني اقول لكم ان انبياء كثيرين وملوكا ارادوا ان ينظروا ما انتم تنظرون ولم ينظروا وان يسمعوا ما انتم تسمعون ولم يسمعوا
25 And now a lawyer stood up and, to test him, asked, 'Master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?'	25 واذا ناموسي قام يجربه قائلا يا معلّم ماذا اعمل لارث الحياة الابدية.
26 He said to him, 'What is written in the Law? What is your reading of it?'	26 فقال له ما هو مكتوب في الناموس. كيف تقرأ.
27 He replied, 'You must love the Lord your God with al your heart, with al your soul, with all yourstrength, and with al your mind, and your neighbour as yourself.'	27 فاجاب وقال تحب الرب الهك من كل قلبك ومن كل نفسك ومن كل قدرتك ومن كل فكرك وقريبك مثل نفسك.
28 Jesus said to him, 'You have answered right, do this and life is yours.'	28 فقال له بالصواب اجبت. افعل هذا فتحيا.
29 But the man was anxious to justify himself and said to Jesus, 'And who is my neighbour?'	29 واما هو فاذ اراد ان يبرر نفسه قال ليسوع ومن هو قريبي.
30 In answer Jesus said, 'A man was once on his way down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fel into thehands of bandits; they stripped him, beat him and then made off, leaving him half dead.	30 فاجاب يسوع وقال. انسان كان نازلا من اورشليم الى اريحا فوقع بين لصوص فعروه وجرحوه ومضوا وتركوه بين حيّ وميت.
31 Now a priest happened to be travel ing down the same road, but when he saw the man, he passed byon the other side.	31 فعرض ان كاهنا نزل في تلك الطريق فرآه وجاز مقابله.
32 In the same way a Levite who came to the place saw him, and passed by on the other side.	32 وكذلك لاوي ايضا اذ صار عند المكان جاء ونظر وجاز مقابله.
33 But a Samaritan travel er who came on him was moved with compassion when he saw him.	33 ولكن سامريا مسافرا جاء اليه ولما رآه تحنن
34 He went up to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them. He then lifted him ontohis own mount and took him to an inn and looked after him.	34 فتقدم وضمد جراحاته وصب عليها زيتا وخمرا واركبه على دابته وأتى به الى فندق واعتنى به
35 Next day, he took out two denari and handed them to the innkeeper and said, "Look after him, andon my way back I wil make good any extra expense you have."	35 وفي الغد لما مضى اخرج دينارين واعطاهما لصاحب الفندق وقال له اعتن به ومهما انفقت اكثر فعند رجوعي اوفيك.
36 Which of these three, do you think, proved himself a neighbour to the man who fel into the bandits'hands?'	36 فاي هؤلاء الثلاثة ترى صار قريبا للذي وقع بين اللصوص.
37 He replied, 'The one who showed pity towards him.' Jesus said to him, 'Go, and do the sameyourself.'	37 فقال الذي صنع معه الرحمة. فقال له يسوع اذهب انت ايضا واصنع هكذا
38 In the course of their journey he came to a vil age, and a woman named Martha welcomed him intoher house.	38 وفيما هم سائرون دخل قرية فقبلته امرأة اسمها مرثا في بيتها.
39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat down at the Lord's feet and listened to him speaking.	39 وكانت لهذه اخت تدعى مريم التي جلست عند قدمي يسوع وكانت تسمع كلامه.
40 Now Martha, who was distracted with all the serving, came to him and said, 'Lord, do you not carethat my sister is leaving me to do the serving al by myself? Please tel her to help me.'	40 واما مرثا فكانت مرتبكة في خدمة كثيرة. فوقفت وقالت يا رب أما تبالي بان اختي قد تركتني اخدم وحدي. فقل لها ان تعينني.
41 But the Lord answered, 'Martha, Martha,' he said, 'you worry and fret about so many things,	41 فاجاب يسوع وقال لها مرثا مرثا انت تهتمين وتضطربين لاجل امور كثيرة.
42 and yet few are needed, indeed only one. It is Mary who has chosen the better part, and it is not to betaken from her.'	42 ولكن الحاجة الى واحد. فاختارت مريم النصيب الصالح الذي لن ينزع منها
