Zechariah 12

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA MARTINI
1 A proclamation. The word of Yahweh about Israel (and also about Judah). Yahweh, who spread outthe heaven and founded the earth and formed the human spirit within, declares:	1 Annunzio pesante del Signore contro Israele. Dice il Signore, che stende i cieli, e dà i suoi fondamenti alla terra, e forma nell'uomo il suo spirito:
2 'Look, I shal make Jerusalem a cup to set al the surrounding peoples reeling. (That wil be at the timeof the siege of Jerusalem.)	2 Ecco che io farò di Gerusalemme un luogo di gozzoviglia per tutti i popoli circonvicini; e lo stesso Giuda si troverà a mettere assedio a Gerusalemme.
3 'When that day comes, I shal make Jerusalem a stone too heavy for al the peoples to lift; al thosewho try to lift it will hurt themselves severely, although al the nations of the world wil be massed against her.	3 E io in quel giorno farò, che Gerusalemme sia una pietra di peso grande per tutti i popoli: tutti quelli, che cercheranno di alzarla, rimarranno alla stiaccia: contro di lei si raguneranno tutte le nazioni della terra.
4 When that day comes -- declares Yahweh -- I shall strike al the horses with panic and their riders withmadness. And I shal strike al the peoples with blindness. (But I shall keep watch over Judah.)	4 In quel giorno, dice il Signore, renderò di sasso i cavalli, e senza spinto i cavalieri; e aprirò i miei occhi sopra la casa di Giuda, e torrò l'uso degli occhi a tutti i cavalli delle nazioni.
5 Then the rulers of Judah will say to themselves, "The strength of the inhabitants of Jerusalem lies inYahweh Sabaoth their God."	5 E i capi di Giuda diranno in cuor loro: Si confidino gli abitatori di Gerusalemme nel Signore degli eserciti, nel Dio loro.
6 When that day comes, I shal make the rulers of Judah like a brazier burning in a pile of wood, like atorch flaming in a sheaf; and they wil devour al the peoples round them to right and left. And Jerusalem wil beful of people as before, where she stands (in Jerusalem).	6 In quel giorno farò, che i capi di Giuda siano come carboni di fuoco sotto le legna, e come fiaccola accesa nel fieno: ei divoreranno a destra, e a sinistra tutti i popoli circonvicini, e Gerusalemme sarà di nuovo abitata nel luogo stesso, dove fu Gerusalemme.
7 Yahweh wil first save the tents of Judah, so that the glory of the House of David and the glory of theinhabitants of Jerusalem do not increase at Judah's expense.	7 E il Signore proteggerà i tabernacoli di Giuda come al principio, affinchè non si glorifichi magnificamente la casa di David, né i gloriosi abitanti di i Gerusalemme contro di Giuda,
8 When that day comes, Yahweh will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and the frailest of them wil belike David when that day comes, and the House of David wil be like God, like the angel of Yahweh, at theirhead.	8 In quel giorno il Signore proteggerà gli abitatori di Gerusalemme, e quelli tra loro, che staran male in piedi, saranno in quel dì tanti David; e la casa di David sarà nel loro cospetto come casa di Dio, come un Angelo del Signore.
9 'When that day comes, I shal set about destroying all the nations who advance against Jerusalem.	9 Ed io in quel giorno mi studierò di abbattere tutte le genti, che si muovono contro Gerusalemme.
10 But over the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem I shall pour out a spirit of grace andprayer, and they wil look to me. They will mourn for the one whom they have pierced as though for an only child,and weep for him as people weep for a first-born child.	10 E spanderò sopra la casa di Davidde, e sopra gli abitatori di Gerusalemme, lo spirito di grazia, e di orazione: e volgeranno lo sguardo a me che han tratto: e lui piangeranno, come suol piangersi un unico figlio, e meneran duolo per lui, come si fa duolo alla morte di un primogenito.
11 When that day comes, the mourning in Jerusalem wil be as great as the mourning for HadadRimmon in the Plain of Megiddo.	11 In quel giorno sarà gran duolo in Gerusalemme, come il duolo di Adadremmon nella pianura di Mageddon.
12 And the country wil mourn clan by clan: The clan of the House of David by itself, and their women bythemselves; the clan of the House of Nathan by itself, and their women by themselves;	12 Sarà in duolo la terra: una famiglia a parte, e a parte un'altra famiglia; a parte le famiglie della casa di David, e a parte le donne loro.
13 the clan of the House of Levi by itself, and their women by themselves; the clan of the House ofShimei by itself, and their women by themselves;	13 Le famiglie della casa di Nathan a parte, e a parte le donne loro; a partele famiglie della casa di Levi, e a parte le donne loro: a parte le famiglie di Semei e a parte le donne loro.
14 al the rest of the clans, every clan by itself, and their women by themselves.'	14 E tutte le altre famiglie, ciasche duna di esse a parte, e a parte le donne loro.
