Zechariah 12

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 A proclamation. The word of Yahweh about Israel (and also about Judah). Yahweh, who spread outthe heaven and founded the earth and formed the human spirit within, declares:	1 Vaticinio. Palabra del Señor sobre Israel. Oráculo del Señor que desplegó los cielos, cimentó la tierra y formó el espíritu del hombre en su interior.
2 'Look, I shal make Jerusalem a cup to set al the surrounding peoples reeling. (That wil be at the timeof the siege of Jerusalem.)	2 Yo haré de Jerusalén una copa de vértigo para todos los pueblos de alrededor, y lo mismo pasará con Judá cuando asedien a Jerusalén.
3 'When that day comes, I shal make Jerusalem a stone too heavy for al the peoples to lift; al thosewho try to lift it will hurt themselves severely, although al the nations of the world wil be massed against her.	3 Aquel día, yo haré de Jerusalén una piedra pesada para todos los pueblos: todos los que intenten levantarla se desgarrarán gravemente. Y se reunirán contra ella todas las naciones de la tierra.
4 When that day comes -- declares Yahweh -- I shall strike al the horses with panic and their riders withmadness. And I shal strike al the peoples with blindness. (But I shall keep watch over Judah.)	4 Aquel día –oráculo del Señor– yo aturdiré a todos los caballos y enloqueceré a sus jinetes; abriré mis ojos sobre la casa de Judá y encegueceré a todos los pueblos.
5 Then the rulers of Judah will say to themselves, "The strength of the inhabitants of Jerusalem lies inYahweh Sabaoth their God."	5 Y los jefes de Judá dirán en su corazón: «La fuerza para los habitantes de Jerusalén está en el Señor de los ejércitos, su Dios».
6 When that day comes, I shal make the rulers of Judah like a brazier burning in a pile of wood, like atorch flaming in a sheaf; and they wil devour al the peoples round them to right and left. And Jerusalem wil beful of people as before, where she stands (in Jerusalem).	6 Aquel día, yo haré a los jefes de Judá semejantes a un brasero encendido bajo la leña, a una antorcha encendida en las gavillas. Ellos consumirán a derecha e izquierda a todos los pueblos de alrededor, pero Jerusalén quedará instalada en el mismo lugar.
7 Yahweh wil first save the tents of Judah, so that the glory of the House of David and the glory of theinhabitants of Jerusalem do not increase at Judah's expense.	7 El Señor salvará primero las carpas de Judá, a fin de que la gloria de la casa de David y la gloria de los habitantes de Jerusalén no se eleven en detrimento de Judá.
8 When that day comes, Yahweh will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and the frailest of them wil belike David when that day comes, and the House of David wil be like God, like the angel of Yahweh, at theirhead.	8 Aquel día, el Señor escudará a los habitantes de Jerusalén: el más débil entre ellos será como David, y la casa de David será como Dios, como el Angel del Señor al frente de ellos.
9 'When that day comes, I shal set about destroying all the nations who advance against Jerusalem.	9 Aquel día, yo me pondré a destruir todas las naciones que vendrán contra Jerusalén.
10 But over the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem I shall pour out a spirit of grace andprayer, and they wil look to me. They will mourn for the one whom they have pierced as though for an only child,and weep for him as people weep for a first-born child.	10 Derramaré sobre la casa de David y sobre los habitantes de Jerusalén un espíritu de gracia y de súplica; y ellos mirarán hacia mí, En cuanto al que ellos traspasaron, se lamentarán por él como por un hijo único y lo llorarán amargamente como se llora al primogénito.
11 When that day comes, the mourning in Jerusalem wil be as great as the mourning for HadadRimmon in the Plain of Megiddo.	11 Aquel día, habrá un gran lamento en Jerusalén, como el lamento de Hadad Rimón, en la llanura de Meguido.
12 And the country wil mourn clan by clan: The clan of the House of David by itself, and their women bythemselves; the clan of the House of Nathan by itself, and their women by themselves;	12 El país se lamentará, familia por familia: la familia de la casa de David por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado; la familia de la casa de Natán por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado;
13 the clan of the House of Levi by itself, and their women by themselves; the clan of the House ofShimei by itself, and their women by themselves;	13 la familia de la casa de Leví por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado; la familia de la casa de Semei por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado;
14 al the rest of the clans, every clan by itself, and their women by themselves.'	14 todas las familias restantes, cada una por su lado, y sus mujeres por su lado.
