1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron and said:	1 - Poi il Signore parlò a Mosè ed Aronne dicendo:
2 'The Israelites must pitch their tents, each man by his own standard, under their family emblems. Theymust pitch their tents round the Dwelling where the Testimony is, some distance away.	2 «I figli d'Israele s'accamperanno attorno al tabernacolo della testimonianza, ciascuno secondo la sua compagnia ed insegna e bandiera, distinto per famiglia e casata.
3 'Encamped on the east side: 'Furthest towards the east, the standard of the camp of Judah, unit byunit. Leader of the Judahites: Nahshon son of Amminadab.	3 Ad oriente, pianterà le tende Giuda, secondo le compagnie che formano il suo esercito. Capo dei suoi figliuoli sarà Naasson figlio d'Aminadab,
4 His company: seventy-four thousand six hundred men.	4 e il totale de' combattenti della sua tribù è di settantaquattromila e seicento.
5 'Next to him: 'The tribe of Issachar. Leader of the Issacharites: Nethanel son of Zuar.	5 Presso a lui s'accampano quelli della tribù d'Issacar, il cui duce è Natanael figlio di Suar,
6 His company: fifty-four thousand four hundred men.	6 e de' cui combattenti il numero totale è di cinquantaquattromila e quattrocento.
7 'The tribe of Zebulun. Leader of the Zebulunites: Eliab son of Helon.	7 Della tribù di Zabulon è principe Eliab figlio di Helon,
8 His company: fifty-seven thousand four hundred men.	8 e tutto l'esercito de' combattenti della sua stirpe è di cinquantasettemila e quattrocento.
9 'The tribal forces in the camp of Judah number in al a hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred.These will be the first to break camp.	9 Così tutti gli annumerati all'armata di Giuda sono centottantaseimila e quattrocento; essi moveranno pei primi, schiera per schiera.
10 'On the south side, the standard of the camp of Reuben, unit by unit. Leader of the Reubenites: Elizurson of Shedeur.	10 Dalla parte di mezzogiorno, il campo de' figliuoli di Ruben, con a capo Elisur figlio di Sedeur;
11 His company: forty-six thousand five hundred men.	11 tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti è computato a quarantaseimila e cinquecento.
12 'Next to him: 'The tribe of Simeon. Leader of the Simeonites: Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.	12 Presso di lui s'accampano quelli della tribù di Simeone, con a capo Salamiel figlio di Surisaddai;
13 His company: fifty-nine thousand three hundred men.	13 tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passati in rassegna è di cinquantanovemila e trecento.
14 'The tribe of Gad. Leader of the Gadites: Eliasaph son of Reuel.	14 Condottiero della tribù di Gad è Eliasaf figlio di Duel,
15 His company: forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty men.	15 e tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passati in rassegna è di quarantacinquemila e seicentocinquanta.
16 'The tribal forces in the camp of Reuben number in al a hundred and fifty-one thousand four hundredand fifty. They will be second to break camp.	16 Così, tutti quelli che appartengono all'armata di Ruben ammontano a centocinquantunmila e quattrocentocinquanta secondo le loro schiere. Moveranno al secondo luogo.

The order of movement wil be the order of encampment, each man under his own standard.	17 Di poi verrà portato il tabernacolo della testimonianza, pel ministero dei leviti divisi a schiere. Come verrà smontato, così verrà rimontato. E marceranno ciascuno al suo luogo, nella sua schiera.
18 'On the west side, the standard of the camp of Ephraim, unit by unit. Leader of the Ephraimites:Elishama son of Ammihud.	18 Ad occidente starà il campo de' figli di Efraim, con a capo Elisama figlio d'Ammiud.
19 His company: forty thousand five hundred men.	19 Tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passati a rassegna è di quarantamila e cinquecento.
20 'Next to him: 'The tribe of Manasseh. Leader of the Manassehites: Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.	20 Con loro poi la tribù dei figli di Manasse, aventi a capo Gamaliel figlio di Fadassur;
21 His company: thirty-two thousand two hundred men.	21 tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passato a rassegna è di trentaduemila e duecento.
22 'The tribe of Benjamin. Leader of the Benjaminites: Abidan son of Gideoni.	22 Duce della tribù de' figli di Beniamino è Abidan figlio di Gedeone,
23 His company: thirty-five thousand four hundred men.	23 e tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passato in rassegna è di trentacinquemila e quattrocento.
24 'The tribal forces in the camp of Ephraim number in all a hundred and eight thousand one hundred.They wil be third to break camp.	24 Così, tutti gli annoverati nell'armata d'Efraim sono centottomila e cento. Moveranno al terzo luogo, a schiera a schiera.
25 'On the north side, the standard of the camp of Dan, unit by unit. Leader of the Danites: Ahiezer sonof Ammishaddai.	25 A settentrione s'attenderanno i figli di Dan, con a capo Aiezer figlio d'Ammisaddai.
26 His company: sixty-two thousand seven hundred men.	26 Tutto l'esercito de' suoi combattenti passato in rassegna è di sessantaduemila e settecento.
27 'Next to him: 'The tribe of Asher. Leader of the Asherites: Pagiel son of Ochran.	27 Presso di loro pianteranno le tende quelli della tribù di Aser, comandati da Fegiel figlio di Ocran.
28 His company: forty-one thousand five hundred men.	28 Tutto l'esercito dei suoi combattenti passato in rassegna è di quarantunmila e cinquecento.
29 'The tribe of Naphtali. Leader of the Naphtalites: Ahira son of Enan.	29 Capo della tribù dei figli di Neftali è Aira figlio d'Enan.
30 His company: fifty-three thousand four hundred men.	30 Tutto l'esercito dei suoi combattenti è di cinquantatremila e quattrocento.
31 'The tribal forces in the camp of Dan number in all a hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred.They wil be the last to break camp. 'Al under their appropriate standards.'	31 Così, tutti gli annoverati nell'armata di Dan sono centocinquantasettemila e seicento, e moveranno gli ultimi».
32 Such was the tally of the Israelites when the census was taken by families. The ful count of the entirecamp, unit by unit, came to six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.	32 Il numero dunque de' figli d'Israele, distinti secondo le loro famiglie e cognazioni, e secondo le compagnie degli eserciti, è di seicentotremila e cinquecentocinquanta.
33 But, as Yahweh had ordered Moses, the Levites were not included in the census of the Israelites.	33 I leviti però non son computati tra i figli d'Israele, perchè così aveva comandato il Signore a Mosè.
34 The Israelites did exactly as Yahweh had ordered Moses. This was how they pitched camp, groupedby standards. This was how they broke camp, each man in his own clan, each man with his own family.	34 Fecero dunque i figli d'Israele tutto quello che il Signore aveva comandato. S'accamparono schiera per schiera, e si misero in marcia secondo le famiglie e casate de' padri loro.
