Ezekiel 39

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 'So, son of man, prophesy against Gog. Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you,Gog, paramount prince of Meshech and Tubal.	1 "Ora tu, figlio dell'uomo, profetizza contro Gog, di': Così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi contro di te, Gog, principe di Ros, Mesech e Tubal.
2 I shal turn you about, lead you on, and bring you from the farthest north against the mountains ofIsrael.	2 Ti richiamerò, ti trascinerò, ti farò salire dall'estremo nord e ti condurrò sui monti d'Israele.
3 I shal break the bow in your left hand and dash the arrows out of your right.	3 Colpirò l'arco nella tua sinistra e farò cadere le frecce dalla tua destra.
4 You will fal on the mountains of Israel, you, al your troops and the nations with you. I shall make youfood for every kind of bird of prey and wild animals.	4 Cadrai sui monti d'Israele tu e tutte le tue schiere e i popoli che sono con te. Ti darò in pasto agli uccelli rapaci, uccelli d'ogni specie, e alle bestie della campagna.
5 You will fal in the wilds, for I have spoken -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	5 Cadrai in aperta campagna. Sì, ho parlato, oracolo del Signore Dio.
6 I shal send down fire on Magog and on those living undisturbed in the islands, and they wil know thatI am Yahweh.	6 Manderò il fuoco su Magog e sui regnanti dei lidi che sono al sicuro e riconosceranno che io sono il Signore.
7 I shal see that my holy name is acknowledged by my people Israel, and no longer al ow my holy nameto be profaned; and the nations wil know that I am Yahweh, holy in Israel.	7 Farò conoscere il mio santo nome in mezzo al mio popolo Israele; non lascerò più profanare il mio santo nome. Le genti riconosceranno che io sono il Signore, il Santo in Israele.
8 "All this is to happen, al this is to take place -- declares the Lord Yahweh. This is the day I predicted.	8 Ecco che è giunto e si compie, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore, il giorno di cui ho parlato.
9 "The inhabitants of the towns of Israel wil go out and set fire to and burn the weapons, the shields andbucklers, bows and arrows, javelins and spears. They wil burn these for seven years	9 Gli abitanti delle città d'Israele usciranno, bruceranno e incendieranno gli armamenti, scudi grandi e piccoli, arco e frecce, mazze e lance; avranno da bruciare per sette anni.
10 and not fetch wood from the countryside or cut it in the forests, since they wil be burning theweapons. They will plunder those who plundered them, and despoil those who despoiled them -- declares theLord Yahweh.	10 E non dovranno prendere legna dalla campagna, non ne taglieranno dai boschi perché ne avranno da bruciare con gli armamenti: saccheggeranno i loro saccheggiatori e deprederanno i loro depredatori, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.
11 "That day, I shall give Gog a famous spot in Israel for his grave, the val ey of the Obarim, east of theSea -- the val ey that halts the travel er -- and there Gog and his whole throng wil be buried, and it wil be cal edthe Val ey of Hamon-Gog.	11 Allora darò a Gog come sepolcro in Israele un luogo rinomato: la valle di Abarìm, a oriente del mare: essa sbarra il passaggio; vi seppelliranno Gog e tutta la sua moltitudine e la chiameranno Valle dell'armata di Gog.
12 The House of Israel will take seven months to bury them and cleanse the country.	12 La casa d'Israele, per purificare la terra, dovrà seppellire per sette mesi.
13 Al the people of the country wil dig their graves, thus winning themselves renown, the day when Idisplay my glory -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	13 Tutta la popolazione si darà a seppellire: il giorno della mia glorificazione diverrà per essi famoso, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.
14 And men wil be detailed to the permanent duty of going through the country and burying those leftabove ground and cleansing it. They wil begin their search once the seven months are over,	14 Gli uomini del tamîd sceglieranno quelli che devono percorrere il paese, seppellendo chi è rimasto sulla superficie della terra, per purificarla. Andranno in ricognizione per sette mesi.
15 and as they go through the country, if one of them sees any human bones, he wil set up a markerbeside them until the gravediggers have buried them in the val ey of Hamon-Gog	15 Gli incaricati percorreranno il paese e, vedendo ossa umane, ne faranno dei mucchi ai lati, finché i seppellitori le seppelliranno nella Valle dell'armata di Gog.
16 (and Hamonah is also the name of a town) and have cleansed the country."	16 Il nome della città sarà Amonà: così purificheranno il paese.
17 'Son of man, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Say to the birds of every kind and to al the wild animals:Muster, come, gather from everywhere around for the sacrifice I am making for you, a great sacrifice on themountains of Israel, so that you can eat flesh and drink blood.	17 A te, figlio dell'uomo, dice Dio, il Signore Dio: Di' ai volatili d'ogni specie e a tutti gli animali della campagna: Radunatevi e venite, raccoglietevi da ogni parte sul sacrificio che immolo per voi, sacrificio grande sui monti d'Israele. Mangerete carne e berrete sangue:
18 You wil eat the flesh of heroes, you wil drink the blood of the princes of the world. They are al ramsand lambs, goats and fat bul s of Bashan.	18 mangerete carne di eroi e berrete sangue di prìncipi della terra: sono tutti capri e agnelli e montoni, giovenchi e animali grassi di Basan.
19 You wil glut yourselves on fat and drink yourselves drunk on blood at this sacrifice I am making foryou.	19 Mangerete grasso a sazietà e berrete sangue fino all'ebbrezza dal sacrificio che ho immolato per voi.
20 You wil glut yourselves at my table on horses and chargers, on heroes and every kind of warrior --declares the Lord Yahweh."	20 Alla mia tavola vi sazierete di cavalli e di cavalieri, di eroi e di ogni tipo di soldato. Oracolo del Signore Dio.
21 'I shal display my glory to the nations, and al nations wil see my sentence when I inflict it and myhand when I strike them.	21 Manifesterò la mia gloria tra le genti; tutte le genti vedranno la condanna che ho eseguito e la mano che ho calcato su di essi.
22 The House of Israel will know that I am Yahweh their God, from that day forward for ever.	22 Quelli della casa d'Israele riconosceranno che io sono il Signore, il loro Dio, da allora in poi.
23 The nations too wil know that the House of Israel were exiled for their guilt; because they wereunfaithful to me, I hid my face from them and put them into the clutches of their enemies, so that they all fel bythe sword.	23 Le genti riconosceranno che fu per le loro colpe che quelli della casa d'Israele andarono in esilio; siccome avevano commesso infedeltà contro di me, ho distolto la mia faccia da loro, li ho dati in balìa dei loro oppressori e sono caduti di spada.
24 I treated them as their loathsome acts of infidelity deserved and hid my face from them.	24 Li ho trattati secondo le loro impurità e le loro rivolte, distogliendo la mia faccia da loro.
25 'So, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Now I shal bring Jacob's captives back and take pity on the wholeHouse of Israel and show myself jealous for my holy name.	25 Perciò così dice Dio, mio Signore: Ora muterò la sorte dei prigionieri di Giacobbe e mi lascerò commuovere, per tutta la casa d'Israele, e sarò geloso del mio santo nome.
26 They will forget their disgrace and al the acts of infidelity which they committed against me whenthey were living safely in their own country, with no one to disturb them.	26 Sì, scorderanno la loro vergogna e le loro infedeltà commesse contro di me, quando abiteranno al sicuro nel loro paese e nessuno li farà più tremare.
27 When I bring them home from the peoples, when I gather them back from the countries of theirenemies, when I display my holiness in them for many nations to see,	27 Li toglierò via dai popoli e li raccoglierò dai paesi dei loro nemici e sarò riconosciuto santo per mezzo loro al cospetto di molte genti.
28 they wil know that I am Yahweh their God who, having sent them into exile among the nations, havereunited them in their own country, not leaving a single one behind.	28 Riconosceranno che io sono il Signore, il loro Dio, per averli condotti in esilio presso le genti e averli riuniti nel loro paese senza lasciarne alcuno laggiù.
29 I shal never hide my face from them again, since I shal pour out my spirit on the House of Israel --declares the Lord Yahweh." '	29 Non distoglierò più la mia faccia da essi; perché spanderò il mio spirito sulla casa d'Israele, oracolo di Dio mio Signore".
