Ezekiel 39

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 'So, son of man, prophesy against Gog. Say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Look, I am against you,Gog, paramount prince of Meshech and Tubal.	1 Et toi, fils d'homme, prophétise contre Gog. Tu diras: Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Je medéclare contre toi, Gog, prince, chef de Méshek et de Tubal.
2 I shal turn you about, lead you on, and bring you from the farthest north against the mountains ofIsrael.	2 Je te ferai faire demi-tour, je te conduirai, je te ferai monter de l'extrême nord et je t'amèneraicontre les montagnes d'Israël.
3 I shal break the bow in your left hand and dash the arrows out of your right.	3 Je briserai ton arc dans ta main gauche et je ferai tomber tes flèches de ta main droite.
4 You will fal on the mountains of Israel, you, al your troops and the nations with you. I shall make youfood for every kind of bird of prey and wild animals.	4 Tu tomberas sur les montagnes d'Israël, toi, toutes tes troupes et les peuples qui sont avec toi. Je tedonne en pâture aux oiseaux de proie de toute espèce et aux bêtes sauvages:
5 You will fal in the wilds, for I have spoken -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	5 Tu tomberas en plein champ, car moi, j'ai parlé, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
6 I shal send down fire on Magog and on those living undisturbed in the islands, and they wil know thatI am Yahweh.	6 J'enverrai le feu dans Magog et sur ceux qui habitent des îles, en sécurité, et ils sauront que je suisYahvé.
7 I shal see that my holy name is acknowledged by my people Israel, and no longer al ow my holy nameto be profaned; and the nations wil know that I am Yahweh, holy in Israel.	7 Je ferai connaître mon saint nom au milieu de mon peuple Israël, je ne laisserai plus profaner monsaint nom, et les nations sauront que je suis Yahvé, saint en Israël.
8 "All this is to happen, al this is to take place -- declares the Lord Yahweh. This is the day I predicted.	8 Voici que cela vient, c'est fait - oracle du Seigneur Yahvé - c'est le jour que j'ai annoncé.
9 "The inhabitants of the towns of Israel wil go out and set fire to and burn the weapons, the shields andbucklers, bows and arrows, javelins and spears. They wil burn these for seven years	9 Alors les habitants des villes d'Israël s'en iront brûler et livrer au feu les armes, écus et boucliers,arcs et flèches, javelots et lances. Ils en feront du feu pendant sept ans.
10 and not fetch wood from the countryside or cut it in the forests, since they wil be burning theweapons. They will plunder those who plundered them, and despoil those who despoiled them -- declares theLord Yahweh.	10 On n'ira plus chercher de bois dans la campagne, on n'en coupera plus dans les forêts, car c'estavec les armes qu'on fera du feu. Ils pilleront ceux qui les pillaient, ils prendront du butin à ceux qui leur enprenaient, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
11 "That day, I shall give Gog a famous spot in Israel for his grave, the val ey of the Obarim, east of theSea -- the val ey that halts the travel er -- and there Gog and his whole throng wil be buried, and it wil be cal edthe Val ey of Hamon-Gog.	11 Ce jour-là, je donnerai à Gog pour sa sépulture en Israël un lieu célèbre, la vallée des Oberim, àl'est de la mer, la vallée qui arrête les passants; on y enterrera Gog et toute sa multitude, et on l'appellera: Valléede Hamôn-Gog.
12 The House of Israel will take seven months to bury them and cleanse the country.	12 La maison d'Israël les enterrera afin de purifier le pays pendant sept mois.
13 Al the people of the country wil dig their graves, thus winning themselves renown, the day when Idisplay my glory -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	13 Tous les gens du pays travailleront à les enterrer, et cela leur vaudra la renommée au jour où jemanifesterai ma gloire, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
14 And men wil be detailed to the permanent duty of going through the country and burying those leftabove ground and cleansing it. They wil begin their search once the seven months are over,	14 On mettra à part des hommes dont la fonction permanente sera de parcourir le pays et d'enterrerceux qui sont restés sur le sol, pour le purifier. Ils entreprendront leur recherche au bout de sept mois.
15 and as they go through the country, if one of them sees any human bones, he wil set up a markerbeside them until the gravediggers have buried them in the val ey of Hamon-Gog	15 Quand ces gens-là parcourront le pays, si l'un d'eux voit des ossements humains, il dressera àcôté une borne, jusqu'à ce que les fossoyeurs les enterrent dans la vallée de Hamôn-Gog
16 (and Hamonah is also the name of a town) and have cleansed the country."	16 (et Hamona est aussi le nom d'une ville), et qu'ils aient purifié le pays.
17 'Son of man, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Say to the birds of every kind and to al the wild animals:Muster, come, gather from everywhere around for the sacrifice I am making for you, a great sacrifice on themountains of Israel, so that you can eat flesh and drink blood.	17 Et toi, fils d'homme, ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé. Dis aux oiseaux de toute espèce et à toutesles bêtes sauvages: Rassemblez-vous, venez, réunissez-vous de partout alentour pour le sacrifice que je vousoffre, un grand sacrifice sur les montagnes d'Israël, et vous mangerez de la chair et vous boirez du sang.
18 You wil eat the flesh of heroes, you wil drink the blood of the princes of the world. They are al ramsand lambs, goats and fat bul s of Bashan.	18 Vous mangerez la chair des héros, vous boirez le sang des princes de la terre. Ce sont tous desbéliers, des agneaux, des boucs, des taureaux gras du Bashân.
19 You wil glut yourselves on fat and drink yourselves drunk on blood at this sacrifice I am making foryou.	19 Vous mangerez de la graisse jusqu'à satiété et vous boirez du sang jusqu'à l'ivresse, en cesacrifice que je vous offre.
20 You wil glut yourselves at my table on horses and chargers, on heroes and every kind of warrior --declares the Lord Yahweh."	20 Vous vous rassasierez à ma table, de chevaux et de coursiers, de héros et de tout homme deguerre, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.
21 'I shal display my glory to the nations, and al nations wil see my sentence when I inflict it and myhand when I strike them.	21 Je manifesterai ma gloire aux nations, et toutes les nations verront mon jugement quand jel'exécuterai, et ma main quand je l'abattrai sur elles.
22 The House of Israel will know that I am Yahweh their God, from that day forward for ever.	22 Et la maison d'Israël saura que je suis Yahvé son Dieu, à partir de ce jour et désormais.
23 The nations too wil know that the House of Israel were exiled for their guilt; because they wereunfaithful to me, I hid my face from them and put them into the clutches of their enemies, so that they all fel bythe sword.	23 Les nations aussi le sauront: c'est pour sa faute envers moi que la maison d'Israël a été exilée,c'est parce qu'elle m'a été infidèle que je lui ai caché ma face, que je l'ai livrée aux mains de ses ennemis et quetous sont tombés par l'épée.
24 I treated them as their loathsome acts of infidelity deserved and hid my face from them.	24 Je les ai traités comme le méritaient leurs souillures et leurs transgressions, et je leur ai caché maface.
25 'So, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Now I shal bring Jacob's captives back and take pity on the wholeHouse of Israel and show myself jealous for my holy name.	25 C'est pourquoi, ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: Maintenant, je vais ramener les captifs de Jacob,je vais prendre en pitié toute la maison d'Israël, et je me montrerai jaloux de mon saint nom.
26 They will forget their disgrace and al the acts of infidelity which they committed against me whenthey were living safely in their own country, with no one to disturb them.	26 Ils oublieront leur déshonneur et toutes les infidélités qu'ils ont commises envers moi, quand ilshabitaient dans leur pays en sécurité, sans que personne les inquiète.
27 When I bring them home from the peoples, when I gather them back from the countries of theirenemies, when I display my holiness in them for many nations to see,	27 Quand je les ramènerai d'entre les peuples et que je les rassemblerai des pays de leurs ennemis,quand je manifesterai ma sainteté en eux aux yeux des nations nombreuses,
28 they wil know that I am Yahweh their God who, having sent them into exile among the nations, havereunited them in their own country, not leaving a single one behind.	28 ils sauront que je suis Yahvé leur Dieu - quand je les aurai emmenés captifs parmi les nations etque je les réunirai sur leur sol, sans laisser aucun d'eux là-bas.
29 I shal never hide my face from them again, since I shal pour out my spirit on the House of Israel --declares the Lord Yahweh." '	29 Et je ne leur cacherai plus ma face, car je répandrai mon Esprit sur la maison d'Israël, oracle duSeigneur Yahvé.
