Ezekiel 25

1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,	1 ויהי דבר יהוה אלי לאמר
2 'Son of man, turn towards the Ammonites and prophesy against them.	2 בן אדם שים פניך אל בני עמון והנבא עליהם
3 Say to the Ammonites, "Hear the word of the Lord Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since yougloated over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was ravaged, and over theHouse of Judah when it went into exile,	3 ואמרת לבני עמון שמעו דבר אדני יהוה כה אמר אדני יהוה יען אמרך האח אל מקדשי כי נחל ואל אדמת ישראל כי נשמה ואל בית יהודה כי הלכו בגולה
4 I shal let the sons of the East take possession of you; they wil pitch their camps inside you, they wilmake their home in you. They will be the ones to eat your produce and drink your milk.	4 לכן הנני נתנך לבני קדם למורשה וישבו טירותיהם בך ונתנו בך משכניהם המה יאכלו פריך והמה ישתו חלבך
5 I shal turn Rabbah into a camel yard and the towns of Ammon into sheepfolds. And so you wil knowthat I am Yahweh.	5 ונתתי את רבה לנוה גמלים ואת בני עמון למרבץ צאן וידעתם כי אני יהוה
6 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have clapped your hands and danced for joy, ful of maliciousdelight at Israel's fate,	6 כי כה אמר אדני יהוה יען מחאך יד ורקעך ברגל ותשמח בכל שאטך בנפש אל אדמת ישראל
7 my hand wil be against you for this; I shall hand you over to be looted by the peoples, obliterate youas a nation and wipe you out as a country. I shal reduce you to nothing, and you wil know that I am Yahweh.	7 לכן הנני נטיתי את ידי עליך ונתתיך לבג לגוים והכרתיך מן העמים והאבדתיך מן הארצות אשמידך וידעת כי אני יהוה
8 "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Moab and Seir have said: Look at the House of Judah; it is nodifferent from any other nation;	8 כה אמר אדני יהוה יען אמר מואב ושעיר הנה ככל הגוים בית יהודה
9 very wel , I shall expose Moab's heights; its cities will no longer be cities throughout the land -- thejewels of the country, Beth-Jeshimoth, Baal-Meon and Kiriathaim.	9 לכן הנני פתח את כתף מואב מהערים מעריו מקצהו צבי ארץ בית הישימת בעל מעון וקריתמה
10 I shal let the sons of the East and the Ammonites take possession of them, so that they wil nolonger be remembered by the nations.	10 לבני קדם על בני עמון ונתתיה למורשה למען לא תזכר בני עמון בגוים
11 I shal bring Moab to justice, and they will know that I am Yahweh.	11 ובמואב אעשה שפטים וידעו כי אני יהוה
12 "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Edom has taken revenge on the House of Judah and committedgreat crimes in doing so,	12 כה אמר אדני יהוה יען עשות אדום בנקם נקם לבית יהודה ויאשמו אשום ונקמו בהם
13 very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand wil be against Edom and denude it of human andanimal. I shal lay it waste, from Teman as far as Dedan they wil be put to the sword.	13 לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה ונטתי ידי על אדום והכרתי ממנה אדם ובהמה ונתתיה חרבה מתימן ודדנה בחרב יפלו
14 I shal take vengeance on Edom by means of my people Israel. They wil treat Edom as my angerand fury dictate, and they wil know this is my vengeance -- declares the Lord Yahweh.	14 ונתתי את נקמתי באדום ביד עמי ישראל ועשו באדום כאפי וכחמתי וידעו את נקמתי נאם אדני יהוה
15 "The Lord Yahweh says this, "Since the Philistines have acted in revenge and, motivated by malice,have taken revenge, doing their best to destroy because of their long-standing hatred,	15 כה אמר אדני יהוה יען עשות פלשתים בנקמה וינקמו נקם בשאט בנפש למשחית איבת עולם
16 very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand wil be against the Philistines; I shal exterminate theCherethites and destroy the rest of the coastal peoples.	16 לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני נוטה ידי על פלשתים והכרתי את כרתים והאבדתי את שארית חוף הים
17 I shal perform frightful acts of vengeance and inflict furious punishments on them; and they will knowthat I am Yahweh, when I exact my vengeance on them." '	17 ועשיתי בם נקמות גדלות בתוכחות חמה וידעו כי אני יהוה בתתי את נקמתי בם
