Ezekiel 15

NEW JERUSALEM	EINHEITSUBERSETZUNG BIBEL
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows:	1 Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich:
2 Son of man, how is the wood of the vine better than wood from the branch of a forest tree?	2 Menschensohn, was hat das Holz des Weinstocks vor dem Holz aller anderen Sträucher voraus, die zwischen den Bäumen des Waldes wachsen?
3 Is its wood used for making anything? Are pegs on which to hang things made from it?	3 Nimmt man es etwa, um daraus etwas zu machen? Oder gebraucht man es als Pflock und hängt allerlei Geräte daran auf?
4 There it is, thrown on the fire for fuel. The fire burns off both ends; the middle is charred; can it be keptfor anything now?	4 Nein, man wirft es dem Feuer zum Fraß vor. Sind dann die beiden Enden des Holzes vom Feuer verzehrt und hat die Glut seine Mitte erfasst, ist es dann noch geeignet, um etwas daraus zu machen?
5 While it was intact, you could make nothing with it; burned and charred, is it any more useful now?	5 Schon als es noch ganz war, konnte man nichts daraus machen. Hat das Feuer es aber gefressen und ist es verglüht, kann man erst recht nichts daraus machen.
6 So, the Lord Yahweh says this: As the wood of the vine among the forest trees, which I have thrownon the fire for fuel, so shal I treat the inhabitants of Jerusalem.	6 Darum - so spricht Gott, der Herr: Wie ich das Holz des Weinstocks, das zwischen den Bäumen des Waldes heranwuchs, dem Feuer zum Fraß übergab, so behandle ich auch die, die in Jerusalem wohnen.
7 I shal set my face against them. They have escaped one fire, but fire wil devour them yet. And youwil know that I am Yahweh, when I set my face against them.	7 Wenn ich meinen Blick auf sie richte, dann wird sie, auch wenn sie dem Feuer entkommen, das Feuer verzehren. Ihr werdet erkennen, dass ich der Herr bin, wenn ich meinen Blick auf sie richte.
8 I shal reduce the country to a desert, because of their infidelity- declares the Lord Yahweh.	8 Ich mache das Land zur Wüste; denn sie haben die Treue gebrochen - Spruch Gottes, des Herrn.
