Ezekiel 11

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 The spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of the Temple of Yahweh, the gate that lookseastwards. There at the entrance to the gate stood twenty-five men, among whom I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzurand Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.	1 E lo Spirito mi alzò e mi condusse alla porta orientale della casa del Signore, a quella che guarda il sol nascente. Ed ecco all'ingresso della porta venticinque uomini, in mezzo ai quali vidi Iezonia figlio di Azur, e Feltia figlio di Banaia, principi del popolo.
2 He said to me, 'Son of man, these are the wicked schemers who are spreading their bad advicethrough this city.	2 E mi disse: « Figlio dell'uomo, questi son quelli che pensano all'iniquità e in questa città dànno cattivi consigli.
3 They say, "There will be no house-building yet awhile. The city is the cooking pot and we are themeat."	3 E van dicendo: « Non si sono fabbricate poco fa le case? Questa è la caldaia, e noi siamo le carni ».
4 So prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man!'	4 Per questo, profetizza contro di essi, profetizza, o figlio dell'uomo ».
5 The spirit of Yahweh fel on me, and he said to me, 'Say, "Yahweh says this: I know what you aresaying, House of Israel, I know how insolent you are.	5 E lo Spirito del Signore venne sopra di me e mi disse: « Di': Così parla il Signore: Voi avete parlato così, o casa d'Israele, e i pensieri del vostro cuore mi son noti.
6 You have filled this city with more and more of your victims; you have strewn its streets with victims.	6 Voi avete ucciso moltissimi in questa città ed avete ripiene le vie di cadaveri.
7 And so the Lord Yahweh says this: Your victims, whom you have put in it, are the meat, and the city isthe cooking pot; but I shal take you out of it.	7 Per questo così parla il Signore Dio: Quelli che voi avete uccisi e gettati nel mezzo della città son le carni e questa è la caldaia, ma io vi farò uscire da lei.
8 You are afraid of the sword and I shall bring the sword down on you -- declares the Lord Yahweh-	8 Voi avete paura della spada, ed io ve la farò venire addosso — dice il Signore Dio.
9 and I shall take you out of it and hand you over to foreigners and bring you to justice;	9 E vi caccerò dalla città e vi darò in mano dei nemici, ed eseguirò in voi i giudizi.
10 you will fal by the sword on the soil of Israel; I shal execute justice on you, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.	10 Perirete di spada: vi giudicherò alla frontiera d'Israele, e saprete che io sono il Signore.
11 This city wil be no cooking pot for you, nor wil you be the meat inside; I shal execute justice on youon the soil of Israel;	11 Non sarà questa (città) la vostra caldaia, e voi in essa non sarete le carni: io vi giudicherò alle frontiere d'Israele.
12 and you wil know that I am Yahweh, whose laws you have not obeyed and whose judgements youhave not kept; instead, you have adopted the customs of the nations round you." '	12 E conoscerete che io sono il Signore, perchè non avete seguiti i miei precetti, non avete osservate le mie leggi, ma avete agito secondo le leggi delle nazioni che vi circondano ».
13 Now as I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah dropped dead. I fel to the ground and cried out,'Ah, Lord Yahweh, are you going to annihilate the remnant of Israel?'	13 Or, mentre io profetavo, Feltia, figlio di Banaia morì ed io caddi bocconi, e gridai ad alta voce, o dissi: « Ah! ah! ah! Signore Dio, vuoi tu annientare ciò che resta d'Israele? »
14 The word of Yahweh was then addressed to me as follows,	14 E la parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata in questi termini:
15 'Son of man, to your brothers one and al , to your kinsfolk and to the whole House of Israel, theinhabitants of Jerusalem have said, "Keep wel away from Yahweh. This country has now been made over tous!"	15 « Figlio dell'uomo, tuoi fratelli, tuoi fratelli, uomini della tua parentela e tutta la casa d'Israele son tutti quelli ai quali gli abitanti di Gerusalemme han detto: Andate lungi dal Signore: a noi è stato dato il possesso della terra.
16 So say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Yes, I have sent them far away among the nations and I havedispersed them to foreign countries; and for a while I have been a sanctuary for them in the country to whichthey have gone."	16 Per questo, ecco quanto dice il Signore Dio: E' vero, li ho mandati lontano fra le nazioni, li ho dispersi per la terra, ma per un po' di tempo sarò il loro santuario di breve durata nelle terre in cui sono andati.
17 So say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall gather you back from the peoples, I shall col ect you infrom the countries where you have been scattered and give you the land of Israel.	17 Per questo di': Così parla il Signore Dio: Io vi radunerò dai popoli, vi radunerò dalle regioni nelle quali siete dispersi, e vi darò la terra d'Israele.
18 When they come back, they wil purge it of al its horrors and loathsome practices.	18 Ed essi vi entreranno e ne torranno tutti gli scandali e tutte le sue abominazioni.
19 I shal give them a single heart and I shal put a new spirit in them; I shall remove the heart of stonefrom their bodies and give them a heart of flesh,	19 E darò loro un sol cuore, e metterò nelle loro viscere un nuovo spirito, e, tolto ad essi il cuore di pietra, darò loro un cuore di carne,
20 so that they can keep my laws and respect my judgements and put them into practice. Then they wilbe my people and I shall be their God.	20 perchè seguano i miei precetti, osservino lo mio leggi e le mettano in pratica, e siano il mio popolo ed io sia il loro Dio.
21 But those whose hearts are set on their horrors and loathsome practices I shal repay for theirconduct -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	21 Ma riguardo a quelli, il cuore dei quali va dietro agli scandali e alle loro abominazioni, io farò ricadere le loro opere sopra la loro testa — dice il Signore Dio».
22 The winged creatures then raised their wings and the wheels moved with them, with the glory of theGod of Israel over them, above.	22 E i cherubini alzaron le ali, e le ruote li seguirono, e sopra di essi riposava la gloria del Dio d'Israele.
23 And the glory of Yahweh rose from the centre of the city and halted on the mountain to the east of thecity.	23 E la gloria del Signore si alzò al di sopra della città, e si fermò sul monte ad oriente della città.
24 Then the spirit lifted me up and took me, in vision, in the spirit of God, to the exiles in Chaldaea, andthe vision which I had seen faded.	24 E lo Spirito mi alzò e, in visione, nello Spirito di Dio, mi portò nella Caldea, tra gli esuli, e mi fu tolta la visione che io avevo avuta.
25 I then told the exiles everything that Yahweh had shown me.	25 Ed io riferii agli i esuli tutte le cose che il Signore mi aveva fatto vedere.
