Ezekiel 11

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 The spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of the Temple of Yahweh, the gate that lookseastwards. There at the entrance to the gate stood twenty-five men, among whom I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzurand Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.	1 Un espíritu me levantó y me llevó a la puerta oriental de la Casa del Señor, la que da hacia el oriente, y vi que a la entrada de la puerta había veinticinco hombres. En medio de ellos divisé a Iazanías, hijo de Azur, y a Pelatías, hijo de Benaías, jefes del pueblo.
2 He said to me, 'Son of man, these are the wicked schemers who are spreading their bad advicethrough this city.	2 El me dijo: Hijo de hombre, estos son los que hacen planes perversos y dan malos consejos en esta ciudad.
3 They say, "There will be no house-building yet awhile. The city is the cooking pot and we are themeat."	3 Ellos dicen: «Aún no está cerca el momento de reconstruir las casas. La ciudad es la olla y nosotros somos la carne».
4 So prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man!'	4 Por eso, profetiza contra ellos, profetiza, hijo de hombre.
5 The spirit of Yahweh fel on me, and he said to me, 'Say, "Yahweh says this: I know what you aresaying, House of Israel, I know how insolent you are.	5 El espíritu del Señor cayó sobre mí y me dijo: Di: Así habla el Señor: Ustedes han dicho esto, casa de Israel, y yo sé lo que están pensando.
6 You have filled this city with more and more of your victims; you have strewn its streets with victims.	6 Ustedes han multiplicado las víctimas en esta ciudad, han llenado de cadáveres sus calles.
7 And so the Lord Yahweh says this: Your victims, whom you have put in it, are the meat, and the city isthe cooking pot; but I shal take you out of it.	7 Por eso, así habla el Señor: Los cadáveres que ustedes han puesto en medio de la ciudad, esa es la carne, y la ciudad es la olla, de la que los haré salir a ustedes.
8 You are afraid of the sword and I shall bring the sword down on you -- declares the Lord Yahweh-	8 Ya que tienen miedo de la espada, ya atraeré la espada contra ustedes –oráculo del Señor–.
9 and I shall take you out of it and hand you over to foreigners and bring you to justice;	9 Los haré salir de en medio de la ciudad, los entregaré en manos de extranjeros y les infligiré justos castigos.
10 you will fal by the sword on the soil of Israel; I shal execute justice on you, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.	10 Ustedes caerán bajo la espada; los juzgaré en el territorio mismo de Israel, y así sabrán que yo soy el Señor.
11 This city wil be no cooking pot for you, nor wil you be the meat inside; I shal execute justice on youon the soil of Israel;	11 Ni esta ciudad será para ustedes una olla, ni ustedes serán la carne en medio de ella: yo los juzgaré en el territorio mismo de Israel.
12 and you wil know that I am Yahweh, whose laws you have not obeyed and whose judgements youhave not kept; instead, you have adopted the customs of the nations round you." '	12 Entonces sabrán que yo soy el Señor, cuyos preceptos ustedes no han seguido y cuyas leyes no han practicado, porque han imitado las costumbres de las naciones que están a su alrededor,
13 Now as I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah dropped dead. I fel to the ground and cried out,'Ah, Lord Yahweh, are you going to annihilate the remnant of Israel?'	13 Y mientras yo profetizaba, murió Pelatías, hijo de Benaías. Yo caí con el rostro en tierra y grité fuertemente: «¡Ah, Señor, tú estás exterminando al resto de Israel!».
14 The word of Yahweh was then addressed to me as follows,	14 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:
15 'Son of man, to your brothers one and al , to your kinsfolk and to the whole House of Israel, theinhabitants of Jerusalem have said, "Keep wel away from Yahweh. This country has now been made over tous!"	15 Hijo de hombre, los habitantes de Jerusalén dicen esto de tus hermanos, de tus parientes y de toda la casa de Israel: «Ellos están lejos del Señor ; a nosotros se nos ha dado esta tierra en posesión».
16 So say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Yes, I have sent them far away among the nations and I havedispersed them to foreign countries; and for a while I have been a sanctuary for them in the country to whichthey have gone."	16 Por eso di: Así habla el Señor: Sí, yo los conduje a naciones lejanas sí, yo los dispersé entre los pueblos, pero soy momentáneamente un santuario para ellos, en los países adonde han ido.
17 So say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall gather you back from the peoples, I shall col ect you infrom the countries where you have been scattered and give you the land of Israel.	17 Por eso di: Así habla el Señor: Yo los reuniré de entre los pueblos, los congregaré de entre los países donde han sido dispersados y les daré la tierra de Israel.
18 When they come back, they wil purge it of al its horrors and loathsome practices.	18 Ellos entrarán allí y exterminarán todos los ídolos y todas las abominaciones.
19 I shal give them a single heart and I shal put a new spirit in them; I shall remove the heart of stonefrom their bodies and give them a heart of flesh,	19 Yo les daré otro corazón y pondré dentro de ellos un espíritu nuevo: arrancaré de su cuerpo el corazón de piedra y les daré un corazón de carne,
20 so that they can keep my laws and respect my judgements and put them into practice. Then they wilbe my people and I shall be their God.	20 a fin de que sigan mis preceptos y observen mis leyes, poniéndolas en práctica. Así ellos serán mi pueblo y yo seré su Dios.
21 But those whose hearts are set on their horrors and loathsome practices I shal repay for theirconduct -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	21 En cuanto a aquellos cuyo corazón va detrás de sus ídolos y de sus abominaciones, yo haré recaer sobre sus cabezas su mala conducta –oráculo del Señor–.
22 The winged creatures then raised their wings and the wheels moved with them, with the glory of theGod of Israel over them, above.	22 Entonces los querubines desplegaron sus alas, y las ruedas se movieron junto con ellos. La gloria del Dios de Israel estaba sobre ellos, en lo alto.
23 And the glory of Yahweh rose from the centre of the city and halted on the mountain to the east of thecity.	23 La gloria del Señor se elevó de en medio de la ciudad y se detuvo sobre la montaña que está al oriente de la ciudad.
24 Then the spirit lifted me up and took me, in vision, in the spirit of God, to the exiles in Chaldaea, andthe vision which I had seen faded.	24 El espíritu me elevó y me llevó a Caldea, donde estaban los deportados. Esto sucedió en mi visión, por obra del Espíritu de Dios. Luego se alejó de mí la visión que yo había contemplado,
25 I then told the exiles everything that Yahweh had shown me.	25 y conté a los deportados todas las cosas que el Señor me había hecho ver.
