Ezekiel 11

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of the Temple of Yahweh, the gate that lookseastwards. There at the entrance to the gate stood twenty-five men, among whom I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzurand Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.	1 Uno spirito mi prese e mi condusse alla porta orientale del tempio del Signore, dalla parte est. Là all'ingresso della porta c'erano venticinque uomini; tra essi vidi Iazanià, figlio di Azzùr, e Pelatìa, figlio di Benaià, capi del popolo.
2 He said to me, 'Son of man, these are the wicked schemers who are spreading their bad advicethrough this city.	2 Il Signore mi disse: "Figlio dell'uomo, quelli sono gli uomini che tramano stoltezze ed escogitano pessimi consigli per questa città.
3 They say, "There will be no house-building yet awhile. The city is the cooking pot and we are themeat."	3 Vanno dicendo: "Non dobbiamo forse costruire presto delle case? La città è la caldaia e noi la carne".
4 So prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man!'	4 Perciò profetizza contro di essi, profetizza, figlio dell'uomo".
5 The spirit of Yahweh fel on me, and he said to me, 'Say, "Yahweh says this: I know what you aresaying, House of Israel, I know how insolent you are.	5 Scese su di me lo spirito del Signore che mi disse: "Di': così dice il Signore: Voi dite così, o casa d'Israele, e io conosco l'insolenza del vostro spirito.
6 You have filled this city with more and more of your victims; you have strewn its streets with victims.	6 Avete reso numerosi i morti in questa città: ne avete riempito le strade.
7 And so the Lord Yahweh says this: Your victims, whom you have put in it, are the meat, and the city isthe cooking pot; but I shal take you out of it.	7 Perciò così dice Dio, mio Signore: I cadaveri che avete ammucchiati in mezzo ad essa sono la carne ed essa la caldaia. Quanto a voi, vi condurrò fuori di lì.
8 You are afraid of the sword and I shall bring the sword down on you -- declares the Lord Yahweh-	8 La spada vi spaventa, ebbene, manderò contro di voi la spada, oracolo di Dio, mio Signore.
9 and I shall take you out of it and hand you over to foreigners and bring you to justice;	9 Vi farò uscire di là e vi darò in balìa degli stranieri; per mezzo loro decreterò contro di voi la sentenza.
10 you will fal by the sword on the soil of Israel; I shal execute justice on you, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.	10 Cadrete di spada, sui confini d'Israele vi giudicherò. Riconoscerete che io sono il Signore.
11 This city wil be no cooking pot for you, nor wil you be the meat inside; I shal execute justice on youon the soil of Israel;	11 Questa città non sarà per voi una caldaia e voi non sarete la carne! Sui confini d'Israele vi giudicherò;
12 and you wil know that I am Yahweh, whose laws you have not obeyed and whose judgements youhave not kept; instead, you have adopted the customs of the nations round you." '	12 allora riconoscerete che io sono il Signore e che non avete seguito i miei decreti né osservato le mie norme, ma avete osservato le norme delle genti che avete attorno".
13 Now as I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah dropped dead. I fel to the ground and cried out,'Ah, Lord Yahweh, are you going to annihilate the remnant of Israel?'	13 Or mentre profetavo, Pelatìa, figlio di Benaià, morì. Io allora caddi bocconi e gridai a gran voce: "Ahi, Dio, mio Signore; stai compiendo lo sterminio del resto d'Israele!".
14 The word of Yahweh was then addressed to me as follows,	14 Allora mi giunse la parola del Signore:
15 'Son of man, to your brothers one and al , to your kinsfolk and to the whole House of Israel, theinhabitants of Jerusalem have said, "Keep wel away from Yahweh. This country has now been made over tous!"	15 "Figlio dell'uomo, a te e ai tuoi fratelli, ai tuoi parenti deportati con te e a tutta la casa d'Israele, gli abitanti di Gerusalemme dicono: "Ormai sono lontani dal Signore, a noi la terra è data in possesso ereditario".
16 So say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Yes, I have sent them far away among the nations and I havedispersed them to foreign countries; and for a while I have been a sanctuary for them in the country to whichthey have gone."	16 Appunto per questo di': Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Sì, li ho allontanati in mezzo alle genti, li ho disseminati per il mondo, ma sono stato per essi un po' di tempo un santuario nei paesi in cui sono finiti.
17 So say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall gather you back from the peoples, I shall col ect you infrom the countries where you have been scattered and give you the land of Israel.	17 Per questo di': Così dice Dio, mio Signore: Vi raccoglierò di tra le genti e vi radunerò da tutti i paesi in cui foste disseminati e a voi darò il paese d'Israele!
18 When they come back, they wil purge it of al its horrors and loathsome practices.	18 Ivi giungeranno e ne rimuoveranno tutti gli idoli schifosi e tutte le abominazioni.
19 I shal give them a single heart and I shal put a new spirit in them; I shall remove the heart of stonefrom their bodies and give them a heart of flesh,	19 Darò loro un altro cuore e infonderò in essi uno spirito nuovo, rimuoverò il cuore di pietra dal loro corpo e metterò in essi un cuore di carne,
20 so that they can keep my laws and respect my judgements and put them into practice. Then they wilbe my people and I shall be their God.	20 così che seguano i miei decreti e rispettino le mie norme e le osservino e siano il mio popolo e io il loro Dio.
21 But those whose hearts are set on their horrors and loathsome practices I shal repay for theirconduct -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	21 Quanto a quelli, invece, il loro cuore segue i loro schifosi idoli e le loro abominazioni, ma farò ricadere sul loro capo la loro condotta. Oracolo di Dio, mio Signore".
22 The winged creatures then raised their wings and the wheels moved with them, with the glory of theGod of Israel over them, above.	22 Quindi i cherubini allargarono le ali e con essi si mossero le ruote e la Gloria del Dio d'Israele al di sopra di essi.
23 And the glory of Yahweh rose from the centre of the city and halted on the mountain to the east of thecity.	23 La Gloria del Signore si sollevò di mezzo alla città e si fermò sul monte, a oriente di essa.
24 Then the spirit lifted me up and took me, in vision, in the spirit of God, to the exiles in Chaldaea, andthe vision which I had seen faded.	24 Poi uno spirito mi alzò e mi trasportò in Caldea presso gli esuli, in visione, nello spirito di Dio, e la visione che avevo visto scomparve allontanandosi in alto.
25 I then told the exiles everything that Yahweh had shown me.	25 Io riferii agli esuli tutte le cose cui il Signore mi aveva fatto assistere.
