Ezekiel 11

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA MARTINI
1 The spirit lifted me up and brought me to the east gate of the Temple of Yahweh, the gate that lookseastwards. There at the entrance to the gate stood twenty-five men, among whom I saw Jaazaniah son of Azzurand Pelatiah son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.	1 Levommi lo spirito, e menommi alla porta orientale della casa del Signore, che guarda il sol nascente, ed ecco all'ingresso della porta venti cinque uomini; e vidi in mezzo a questi Giezonia figliuolo di Azur, e Pheltia figliuolo di Banaia, principi del popolo.
2 He said to me, 'Son of man, these are the wicked schemers who are spreading their bad advicethrough this city.	2 E (il Signore) mi disse: Figliuolo dell'uomo, questi son coloro, che mani polano iniquità, e trattano pessimi consigli in questa città,
3 They say, "There will be no house-building yet awhile. The city is the cooking pot and we are themeat."	3 Dicendo: Non si è egli fabbricato poco fa delle case? Questa è la caldaia, e noi le carni.
4 So prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man!'	4 Per questo tu profetizza sopra di essi, profetizza, figliuol dell'uomo.
5 The spirit of Yahweh fel on me, and he said to me, 'Say, "Yahweh says this: I know what you aresaying, House of Israel, I know how insolent you are.	5 E lo spirito del Signore venne sopra di me, e mi disse: Parla: Queste cose dice il Signore: Voi avete parlato così, o casa d'Israele, e i pensieri del vostro cuore son noti a me.
6 You have filled this city with more and more of your victims; you have strewn its streets with victims.	6 Voi avete ucciso molta gente in questa città, e avete ripiene le strade ai morti.
7 And so the Lord Yahweh says this: Your victims, whom you have put in it, are the meat, and the city isthe cooking pot; but I shal take you out of it.	7 Pe questo il Signore Dio dice cosi: Que', che voi avete uccisi, e gittati nel mezzo della città, queste sono le carni, e questa è la caldaia: ma voi io trarrò fuora di lei.
8 You are afraid of the sword and I shall bring the sword down on you -- declares the Lord Yahweh-	8 Voi avete temuto la spada, e la spada io farò venire sopra di voi, dice il Signore Dio,
9 and I shall take you out of it and hand you over to foreigners and bring you to justice;	9 E vi discaccerò da lei, e darovvi in poter de' nemici e farò giudizio di voi.
10 you will fal by the sword on the soil of Israel; I shal execute justice on you, and you wil know that Iam Yahweh.	10 Perirete di spada, ai confini d'Israele farò giudizio di voi, e conoscerete, ch'io sono il Signore.
11 This city wil be no cooking pot for you, nor wil you be the meat inside; I shal execute justice on youon the soil of Israel;	11 Questa città non sarà la vostra caldaia, e voi in essa non sarete le carni: ai confini d'Israele farò giudizio di voi.
12 and you wil know that I am Yahweh, whose laws you have not obeyed and whose judgements youhave not kept; instead, you have adopted the customs of the nations round you." '	12 E conoscerete, ch'io sono il Signore; perchè voi non avete camminato ne' miei comandamenti, e non avete osservati i miei giudizi, ma avete seguitati i riti delle genti, che stanno intorno a voi.
13 Now as I was prophesying, Pelatiah son of Benaiah dropped dead. I fel to the ground and cried out,'Ah, Lord Yahweh, are you going to annihilate the remnant of Israel?'	13 E avvenne, che, nel mentre che io profetava, Pheltia figliuolo di Banaia morì, e io caddi boccone ad alta voce gridando, e dicendo: Ahi, ahi, ahi, Signore Dio, vuoi tu far fine degli avanzi d'Israele?
14 The word of Yahweh was then addressed to me as follows,	14 E il Signore parlommi, e disse:
15 'Son of man, to your brothers one and al , to your kinsfolk and to the whole House of Israel, theinhabitants of Jerusalem have said, "Keep wel away from Yahweh. This country has now been made over tous!"	15 Figliuolo dell'uomo, a' tuoi fratelli, ai fratelli tuoi, e a' tuoi parenti, e a tutti gli uomini della casa d'Israele han detto gli abitanti di Gerusalemme: Andate lungi dal Signore, a noi è stata data in dominio la terra.
16 So say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: Yes, I have sent them far away among the nations and I havedispersed them to foreign countries; and for a while I have been a sanctuary for them in the country to whichthey have gone."	16 Per questo il Signore Dio dica così: Se io gli ho mandati lontano tralle nazioni, e gli ho dispersi per terre straniere, io sarò per un po' di tempo il lor santuario nella terra, dov'ei son andati.
17 So say, "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shall gather you back from the peoples, I shall col ect you infrom the countries where you have been scattered and give you the land of Israel.	17 Per questo tu dirai: Queste cose dice il Signore Dio: Io vi raccorrò di mezzo ai popoli, e vi raunerò dai paesi, pe' quali siete dispersi, e darò a voi la terra d'Israele.
18 When they come back, they wil purge it of al its horrors and loathsome practices.	18 Ed eglino vi entreranno, e terranno da lei tutti gli scandali, e tutte le sue abbominazioni.
19 I shal give them a single heart and I shal put a new spirit in them; I shall remove the heart of stonefrom their bodies and give them a heart of flesh,	19 E darò loro un cuore unanime, e nuovo spirito infonderò nelle loro viscere, e torrò ad essi il cuore di pietra, e darò loro un cuore di carne,
20 so that they can keep my laws and respect my judgements and put them into practice. Then they wilbe my people and I shall be their God.	20 Affinchè seguano i miei precetti, e osservino i miei giudizj, e li mettano in pratica, e sian essi mio popolo, ed io sia Dio loro.
21 But those whose hearts are set on their horrors and loathsome practices I shal repay for theirconduct -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '	21 Ma quanto a quelli, il cuore de' quali va dietro agli scandali, e alle loro abbominazioni, porrò le opere loro sopra la loro testa, dice il Signore Dio.
22 The winged creatures then raised their wings and the wheels moved with them, with the glory of theGod of Israel over them, above.	22 E alzarono i Cherubini le loro ali, e le ruote dietro ad essi, e sopra di questi era la gloria del Dio d'Israele.
23 And the glory of Yahweh rose from the centre of the city and halted on the mountain to the east of thecity.	23 E la gloria del Signore si alzò dal la città, e fermossi sul monte, che sta all'oriente della città.
24 Then the spirit lifted me up and took me, in vision, in the spirit of God, to the exiles in Chaldaea, andthe vision which I had seen faded.	24 E levommi lo spirito, e mi condusse nella Caldea ai fuorusciti in visione per ispirito di Dio, e la visione, che io avea veduta, mi fu tolta.
25 I then told the exiles everything that Yahweh had shown me.	25 E dissi a' fuorusciti tutte quante le cose, che avea mostrate a me il Signore.
