Jeremiah 46

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 The words of Yahweh that were addressed to the prophet Jeremiah against the nations.	1 كلمة الرب التي صارت الى ارميا النبي عن الامم.
2 On Egypt. Against the army of Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt, which was at Carchemish on the RiverEuphrates when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon defeated it in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, kingof Judah.	2 عن مصر عن جيش فرعون نخو ملك مصر الذي كان على نهر الفرات في كركميش الذي ضربه نبوخذراصر ملك بابل في السنة الرابعة ليهوياقيم بن يوشيا ملك يهوذا
3 Buckler and shield at the ready! Onward to battle!	3 اعدّوا المجن والترس وتقدموا للحرب.
4 Harness the horses: into the saddle, horsemen! To your ranks! On with your helmets! Sharpen yourspears, put on your breastplates!	4 اسرجوا الخيل واصعدوا ايها الفرسان وانتصبوا بالخوذ. اصقلوا الرماح. البسوا الدروع.
5 Why do I see them retreating, panic-stricken? Their heroes, beaten back, are fleeing headlong, with nota look behind. Terror on every side, Yahweh declares!	5 لماذا اراهم مرتعبين ومدبرين الى الوراء وقد تحطمت ابطالهم وفرّوا هاربين ولم يلتفتوا. الخوف حواليهم يقول الرب.
6 No flight for the swift, no escape for the strong! Up in the north on the River Euphrates, they havecol apsed, have fal en.	6 الخفيف لا ينوص والبطل لا ينجو. في الشمال بجانب نهر الفرات عثروا وسقطوا.
7 Who was it rose like the Nile, his waters foaming like a torrent?	7 من هذا الصاعد كالنيل كانهار تتلاطم امواهها.
8 Why, Egypt rose like the Nile, his waters foaming like a torrent. 'I shal rise', he said, 'and drown theearth; sweep away town and its inhabitants!	8 تصعد مصر كالنيل وكانهار تتلاطم المياه. فيقول اصعد واغطي الارض. اهلك المدينة والساكنين فيها.
9 Charge, horses! Forward, chariots! Let the warriors advance, men from Cush and Put with shield inhand, men from Lud who bend the bow!'	9 اصعدي ايتها الخيل وهيجي ايتها المركبات ولتخرج الابطال. كوش وفوط القابضان المجن واللوديون القابضون والمادون القوس.
10 For this is the Day of Lord Yahweh Sabaoth, a day of vengeance when he takes revenge on his foes:the sword wil devour until gorged, until drunk with their blood, for Lord Yahweh Sabaoth is holding a sacrificialfeast in the land of the north, on the River Euphrates.	10 فهذا اليوم للسيد رب الجنود يوم نقمة للانتقام من مبغضيه فياكل السيف ويشبع ويرتوي من دمهم. لان للسيد رب الجنود ذبيحة في ارض الشمال عند نهر الفرات.
11 Go up to Gilead and fetch balm, virgin daughter of Egypt! You multiply remedies in vain, nothing cancure you!	11 اصعدي الى جلعاد وخذي بلسانا يا عذراء بنت مصر. باطلا تكثرين العقاقير. لا رفادة لك.
12 The nations have heard of your shame, your wailing fil s the world, for warrior has stumbled againstwarrior, and both have fal en together.	12 قد سمعت الامم بخزيك وقد ملأ الارض عويلك لان بطلا يصدم بطلا فيسقطان كلاهما معا
13 The word that came from Yahweh to the prophet Jeremiah when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylonadvanced to attack Egypt.	13 الكلمة التي تكلم بها الرب الى ارميا النبي في مجيء نبوخذراصر ملك بابل ليضرب ارض مصر.
14 Publish it in Egypt, proclaim it in Migdol, proclaim it in Noph and Tahpanhes! Say, 'Stand your ground,be prepared, for the sword is devouring al round you!'	14 اخبروا في مصر واسمعوا في مجدل واسمعوا في نوف وفي تحفنحيس قولوا انتصب وتهيأ لان السيف ياكل حواليك.
15 Why has Apis fled? Why has your Mighty One not stood firm? Why, Yahweh has overturned him,	15 لماذا انطرح مقتدروك. لا يقفون لان الرب قد طرحهم.
16 he has caused many to fal ! Fal ing over one another, they say, 'Up, and back to our own people, tothe country where we were born, away from the devastating sword!'	16 كثر العاثرين حتى يسقط الواحد على صاحبه ويقولوا قوموا فنرجع الى شعبنا والى ارض ميلادنا من وجه السيف الصارم.
17 They have given Pharaoh king of Egypt the nickname, 'Much-noise-but-he-lets-the-chance-slip-by'!	17 قد نادوا هناك فرعون ملك مصر هالك. قد فات الميعاد.
18 As I live, the King declares, whose name is Yahweh Sabaoth, he is coming, a very Tabor amongmountains, a Carmel high above the sea!	18 حيّ انا يقول الملك رب الجنود اسمه كتابور بين الجبال وككرمل عند البحر يأتي.
19 Get your bundle ready for exile, fair inhabitant of Egypt! Noph will be reduced to a desert, desolate,uninhabited.	19 اصنعي لنفسك أهبة جلاء ايتها البنت الساكنة مصر لان نوف تصير خربة وتحرق فلا ساكن.
20 Egypt was a splendid heifer, but a gadfly from the north has settled on her.	20 مصر عجلة حسنة جدا. الهلاك من الشمال جاء جاء.
21 The mercenaries she had with her, these too were like fattened calves: but they too have taken totheir heels, have al run away, not held their ground, for their day of disaster has overtaken them, their time forbeing punished.	21 ايضا متسأجروها في وسطها كعجول صيرة. لانهم هم ايضا يرتدون يهربون معا. لم يقفوا لان يوم هلاكهم اتى عليهم وقت عقابهم.
22 Hear her hissing like a snake as they advance in force to fal on her with their axes, like woodcutters,	22 صوتها يمشي كحية لانهم يسيرون بجيش وقد جاءوا اليها بالفؤوس كمحتطبي حطب.
23 they wil fell her forest, Yahweh declares, however impenetrable it was for they are more numerousthan locusts, there is no counting them.	23 يقطعون وعرها يقول الرب وان يكن لا يحصى لانهم قد كثروا اكثر من الجراد ولا عدد لهم.
24 The daughter of Egypt is put to shame, handed over to a people from the north.	24 قد أخزيت بنت مصر ودفعت ليد شعب الشمال.
25 Yahweh Sabaoth, God of Israel, has said, 'Look, I shal punish Amon of No, Pharaoh, Egypt, its gods,its kings, Pharaoh and those who put their trust in him.	25 قال رب الجنود اله اسرائيل. هانذا اعاقب آمون نو وفرعون ومصر وآلهتها وملوكها فرعون والمتوكلين عليه.
26 I shal hand him over to those who are determined to kil him, to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, tohis generals. But afterwards, Egypt wil be inhabited again as in the past, Yahweh declares.	26 وادفعهم ليد طالبي نفوسهم وليد نبوخذراصر ملك بابل وليد عبيده. ثم بعد ذلك تسكن كالايام القديمة يقول الرب
27 But do not be afraid, my servant Jacob, Israel, do not be alarmed: for look, I shal rescue you fromafar and your descendants from the country where they are captive. Jacob wil return and be at peace, secure,with no one to trouble him.	27 وانت فلا تخف يا عبدي يعقوب ولا ترتعب يا اسرائيل لاني هانذا اخلصك من بعيد ونسلك من ارض سبيهم فيرجع يعقوب ويطمئن ويستريح ولا مخيف.
28 Do not be afraid, my servant Jacob, Yahweh declares, for I am with you: I shal make an end of al thenations where I have driven you, but I shal not make an end of you, I shal discipline you only as you deserve,not leaving you quite unpunished.	28 اما انت يا عبدي يعقوب فلا تخف لاني انا معك لاني افني كل الامم الذين بددتك اليهم. اما انت فلا افنيك بل اؤدبك بالحق ولا ابرئك تبرئة
