NEW JERUSALEM	DIODATI
1 Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron,	1 IL Signore parlò ancora a Mosè e ad Aaronne, dicendo:
2 'If a swel ing or scab or spot appears on someone's skin, which could develop into a contagious skin-disease, that person must then be taken to the priest, either Aaron or one of his sons.	2 Quando nella pelle della carne di alcuno vi sarà tumore, o rogna, o bolla, o tacca tralucente; e ciò diventerà nella pelle della sua carne come piaga di lebbra; sia colui condotto al Sacerdote Aaronne, ovvero ad uno de’ suoi figliuoli sacerdoti.
3 The priest wil examine the disease on the skin. If the hair on the diseased part has turned white, or ifthe disease bites into the skin, the skin-disease is contagious, and after examination the priest wil declare theperson unclean.	3 E riguardi il sacerdote la piaga nella pelle della carne di esso; e se il pelo della piaga ha mutato colore, ed è divenuto bianco, e la piaga apparisce più profonda della pelle della carne di esso, è piaga di lebbra; perciò, dopo che il sacerdote l’avrà riguardato, dichiarilo immondo.
4 But if there is a white spot on the skin without any visible depression of the skin or whitening of thehair, the priest wil isolate the sick person for seven days.	4 Ma, se è una tacca tralucente, e bianca, nella pelle della carne di esso, senza apparir più profonda della pelle, e senza che il suo pelo abbia mutato colore, nè sia divenuto bianco; rinchiuda il sacerdote colui che avrà quella piaga, per sette giorni.
5 On the seventh day he wil examine the person, and if he observes that the disease persists thoughwithout spreading over the skin, he will isolate the person for a further seven days	5 E se, al settimo giorno, al sacerdote, riguardandolo, parrà che la piaga si sia arrestata, e non si sia allargata nella pelle, rinchiudalo di nuovo per sette giorni.
6 and examine him again on the seventh. If he finds that the disease has faded and has not spread overthe skin, the priest wil declare the person clean. This was merely a scab. Once he has washed his clothing hewil be clean.	6 Che se, al settimo giorno, il sacerdote, riguardandolo di nuovo, vede che la piaga si sia ristretta, e non si sia allargata nella pelle, dichiarilo netto; è rogna; e lavi colui i suoi vestimenti; e sarà netto.
7 'But if the scab spreads over the skin after the sick person has been examined by the priest anddeclared clean, then he wil let himself be examined again by the priest.	7 Ma, se pur quella rogna si è allargata nella pelle, dopo che colui si sarà fatto riguardare al sacerdote, per esser dichiarato netto; e sarà stato riguardato la seconda volta dal sacerdote;
8 After examining him and certifying the spread of the scab over the skin, the priest wil declare himunclean: it is a contagious skin-disease.	8 e, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco, la rogna si è allargata nella pelle; dichiari il sacerdote colui immondo; è lebbra.
9 'Someone who has a contagious skin-disease must be taken to the priest.	9 Quando vi sarà in alcuno piaga di lebbra, sia condotto al sacerdote.
10 The priest wil examine the sick person, and if he finds a whitish swel ing with whitening of the hairand an ulcer forming on the skin,	10 E se, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco vi è alcun tumore bianco nella pelle, e il pelo di essa ha mutato colore, ed è divenuto bianco, e vi è qualche rimanente di carne viva nel tumore;
11 this is a dormant skin-disease, and the priest wil declare the person unclean. He wil not isolate him;he is obviously unclean.	11 è lebbra invecchiata nella pelle della carne di colui; perciò, dichiarilo il sacerdote immondo; non rinchiudalo; conciossiachè egli sia immondo.
12 'But if the disease spreads all through the skin, if it covers the person entirely from head to foot so faras the priest can see,	12 Ma, se la lebbra germoglia largamente nella pelle, e copre tutta la pelle di colui che avrà la piaga, dal capo ai piedi, dovunque il sacerdote potrà vedere con gli occhi;
13 the priest wil then examine the sick person and, if he finds that the skin-disease covers his wholebody, declare the sick person clean. Since it has al become white, he is clean.	13 allora, se, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco, la lebbra ha coperta tutta la pelle di esso, dichiarilo netto; la piaga è tutta divenuta bianca; egli è netto.
14 But as soon as an ulcer appears on him, he wil be unclean.	14 Ma, al giorno che apparirà in lui alcuna carne viva, sia immondo.
15 After examining the ulcer, the priest will declare him unclean: the ulcer is unclean, it is contagious.	15 E il sacerdote, avendo veduta la carne viva, dichiarilo immondo; la carne viva è immonda; è lebbra.
16 But if the ulcer becomes white again, the sick person wil go to the priest;	16 Che se la carne viva si muta di nuovo, e diviene bianca, venga colui al sacerdote.
17 the priest wil examine him and if he finds that the disease has turned white, he wil declare the sickperson clean: he is clean.	17 E se, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco, la piaga ha mutato colore, ed è divenuta bianca, dichiari netto colui che avrà la piaga; egli è netto
18 'When an ulcer appears on someone's skin, and then gets better,	18 Quando vi sarà stato nella pelle della carne di alcuno ulcera, la qual sia guarita;
19 and if then a white swel ing or a reddish-white spot forms on the same place, the sick person wilshow himself to the priest.	19 e poi, nel luogo dell’ulcera nascerà tumor bianco, o tacca tralucente, bianca, rosseggiante; sia mostrato al sacerdote.
20 The priest wil examine him, and if he finds a visible depression in the skin and a whitening of thehair, he wil declare the person unclean: this is a case of contagious skin-disease breaking out in an ulcer.	20 E se, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco, quella apparisce più bassa che la pelle, e il pelo di essa ha mutato colore, ed è divenuto bianco; dichiari colui immondo; è piaga di lebbra, la quale è germogliata nell’ulcera.
21 But if on examination the priest finds neither white hair nor depression of the skin, but a fading of theaffected part, he wil isolate the sick person for seven days.	21 Ma se, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco, non vi è alcun pelo bianco, ed ella non è più bassa che la pelle, ed ella s’è ristretta; rinchiudalo il sacerdote per sette giorni.
22 If the disease has then spread over the skin, he will declare the person unclean: this is a case ofcontagious skin-disease.	22 Ma, se pur quella si è allargata nella pelle, dichiarilo il sacerdote immondo; è piaga di lebbra.
23 But if the spot has stayed where it was and has not spread, it is the scar of the ulcer and the priestwil declare the person clean.	23 Ma, se la tacca tralucente si è arrestata nel suo luogo, e non si è allargata; è la crosta dell’ulcera; perciò, dichiarilo il sacerdote netto.
24 'If someone has a burn on the skin and an abscess, a reddish-white or white spot, forms on the burn,	24 Parimente, quando nella pelle della carne di alcuno vi sarà arsura di fuoco, e in quella parte guarita dell’arsura vi sarà tacca tralucente, bianca, rosseggiante, o sol bianca;
25 the priest wil then examine it. If he finds a whitening of the hair or a visible depression of the mark onthe skin, a contagious disease has broken out in the burn. The priest wil declare the sick person unclean: this isa contagious skin-disease.	25 e, riguardandola il sacerdote, ecco, il pelo nella tacca ha mutato colore, ed è divenuto bianco, ed essa apparisce più profonda che la pelle; è lebbra ch’è germogliata nell’arsura; perciò, dichiari il sacerdote colui immondo; è piaga di lebbra.
26 If on the other hand the priest on examination does not find white hair on the mark or depression ofthe skin, but a fading of the mark, the priest will isolate the person for seven days.	26 Ma se, riguardandola il sacerdote, ecco, non vi è alcun pelo bianco nella tacca, ed ella non è punto più bassa che la pelle, e si è ristretta; rinchiuda il sacerdote colui per sette giorni.
27 He wil examine the person on the seventh day and, if the disease has spread over the skin, he wildeclare the sick person unclean: this is a case of contagious skin-disease.	27 Ma se pure, riguardando il sacerdote quella tacca al settimo giorno, ella si è allargata nella pelle; dichiari il sacerdote colui immondo; è piaga di lebbra.
28 If the mark has stayed where it was and has not spread over the skin, but has faded instead, it wasonly a swel ing due to the burn. The priest wil declare the person clean: it is merely a burn scar.	28 Ma, se la tacca si è arrestata nel suo luogo, e non si è allargata nella pelle, anzi si è ristretta; è una sobbollitura di arsura; perciò, dichiarilo il sacerdote netto; conciossiachè sia crosta di arsura.
29 'If a man or a woman has a sore on the head or chin,	29 E se un uomo, o una donna, ha alcuna piaga, nel capo, o nella barba;
30 the priest wil examine the sore; and if he finds a depression visible in the skin, with the hair on ityel ow and thin, he wil declare the sick person unclean: this is tinea, that is to say, a contagious skin-disease of the head or chin.	30 e, riguardando il sacerdote la piaga, ecco, ella apparisce più profonda che la pelle; e vi è in essa alcun pelo giallo sottile; dichiari il sacerdote colui immondo; è tigna, è lebbra di capo, o di barba.
31 If on examining this case of tinea the priest finds no visible depression in the skin and no yellow hair,he wil isolate the person so affected for seven days.	31 Ma se, riguardando il sacerdote quella piaga della tigna, ecco, ella non apparisce più profonda che la pelle, ma non vi è alcun pelo bruno; rinchiuda il sacerdote colui che avrà la piaga della tigna, per sette giorni.
32 He wil examine the infected part on the seventh day, and if he finds that the tinea has not spread,that the hair on it is not yel ow, and that there is no visible depression in the skin,	32 E se, riguardando il sacerdote quella piaga al settimo giorno, ecco la tigna non si è allargata, e non vi è nato alcun pelo giallo, e la tigna non apparisce più profonda che la pelle;
33 the sick person will shave his hair off, all except the part affected with tinea, and the priest wil againisolate him for seven days.	33 radasi colui, ma non rada la tigna; poi rinchiudalo il sacerdote di nuovo per sette giorni.
34 He wil examine the infected part on the seventh day, and if he finds that it has not spread over theskin, and that there is no visible depression of the skin, the priest wil declare the sick person clean. Afterwashing his clothes the person wil be clean.	34 E se, riguardando il sacerdote la tigna al settimo giorno, ecco, la tigna non si è allargata nella pelle, e non apparisce punto più profonda della pelle; dichiari il sacerdote colui netto; e lavi egli i suoi vestimenti, e sarà netto.
35 But if after this purification the tinea does spread over the skin,	35 Ma se pure, dopo che sarà stato dichiarato netto, la tigna si allarga nella sua pelle;
36 the priest wil examine the person; if he finds that the tinea has indeed spread over the skin, the sickperson is unclean, and there is no need to verify whether the hair is yellow.	36 e, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco, la tigna si è allargata nella pelle: non cerchi il sacerdote del pelo giallo; colui è immondo.
37 Whereas if, so far as he can see, the tinea is arrested and dark hair is beginning to grow on it, thesick person is cured. He is clean, and the priest will declare him clean.	37 Ma, se gli pare che la tigna si sia arrestata, e il pelo bruno vi è nato, la tigna è guarita; colui è netto; dichiarilo adunque il sacerdote netto
38 'If spots break out on the skin of a man or woman, and if these spots are white,	38 E se un uomo, o una donna, ha alcune tacche tralucenti, bianche, nella pelle della sua carne;
39 the priest wil examine them. If he finds that the spots are of a dul white, this is a rash that hasbroken out on the skin: the sick person is clean.	39 e, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco, nella pelle della lor carne vi sono delle tacche bianche, tralucenti, raggrinzate; son broffole, che son germogliate nella pelle; quella persona è netta.
40 'If someone loses the hair of the scalp, this is baldness of the scalp but the person is clean.	40 E se il capo di alcuno è tutto senza peli, egli è calvo; è netto.
41 If he loses hair off the front of the head, this is baldness of the forehead but the person is clean.	41 E s’egli ha la testa pelata dalla parte della faccia, egli è calvo dalla fronte; è netto.
42 If, however, a reddish-white sore appears on scalp or forehead, a contagious skin-disease hasbroken out on the scalp or forehead.	42 Ma, se nel capo tutto senza peli, o calvo dalla fronte, v’è piaga bianca rosseggiante, è lebbra, che germoglia nel capo tutto senza peli, o calvo dalla fronte.
43 The priest wil examine it, and if he finds a reddish-white swel ing on scalp or forehead, looking like acontagious skin-disease,	43 Se adunque, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco un tumore di piaga bianca rosseggiante nel capo, tutto senza peli, o calvo dalla fronte, simile in vista alla lebbra della pelle della carne;
44 the person has such a disease: he is unclean. The priest will declare him unclean; he has acontagious skin-disease of the head.	44 colui è lebbroso; egli è immondo; del tutto dichiarilo il sacerdote immondo; egli ha la sua piaga nel capo.
45 'Anyone with a contagious skin-disease wil wear torn clothing and disordered hair; and wil cover theupper lip and shout, "Unclean, unclean."	45 Or abbia il lebbroso, in cui sarà piaga di lebbra, i vestimenti sdruciti, e il capo scoperto, e velisi il labbro disopra; e vada gridando: L’immondo! l’immondo!
46 As long as the disease lasts, such a person wil be unclean and, being unclean, will live alone andlive outside the camp.	46 Sia immondo tutto il tempo che quella piaga sarà in lui; egli è immondo; dimori in disparte, sia la sua stanza fuor del campo
47 'When a piece of clothing is infected with mould, be it wool en or linen clothing,	47 E se vi è piaga di lebbra in alcun vestimento di lana o di lino;
48 linen or wool en fabric or covering, or leather or anything made of leather,	48 ovvero in istame, o in trama di lino, o di lana, o in pelle; ovvero in qualunque lavorio di pelle;
49 if the spot on the clothing, leather, fabric, covering or object made of leather is a greenish or reddishcolour, it is a disease to be shown to the priest.	49 ed essa piaga è verdeggiante, o rosseggiante, nel vestimento, o nella pelle, o nello stame, o nella trama, o in qualunque cosa fatta di pelle; è piaga di lebbra; sia adunque mostrata al sacerdote.
50 The priest wil examine the infection and isolate the object for seven days.	50 E il sacerdote, dopo averla riguardata, rinchiuda quello in che sarà la piaga, per sette giorni.
51 If on the seventh day he observes that the infection has spread on the clothing, fabric, covering,leather or object made of leather, whatever it may be, this is a contagious disease and the object is unclean.	51 E se, al settimo giorno, egli vede che la piaga si sia allargata nel vestimento, o nello stame, o nella trama, o nella pelle, in qualunque lavorio s’adoperi pelle; quella piaga è lebbra rodente; quella cosa è immonda.
52 He wil burn this clothing, fabric, linen or woollen covering or leather object whatever it may be, onwhich the infection has appeared; for this is a contagious disease which must be destroyed by fire.	52 Perciò, faccia bruciar quel vestimento, o quello stame, o quella trama, di lana, o di lino, ovvero qualunque cosa fatta di pelle nella quale sia quella piaga; conciossiachè sia lebbra rodente; brucisi col fuoco.
53 'But if on examination the priest finds that the infection has not spread on the clothing, fabric,covering, or leather object whatever it may be,	53 Ma se, riguardandola il sacerdote, ecco, la piaga non si è allargata nel vestimento, nello stame, nella trama, ovvero in qualunque cosa fatta di pelle;
54 he wil order the infected object to be washed and wil isolate it again for a period of seven days.	54 comandi che si lavi ciò in che sarà la piaga; e rinchiudalo il sacerdote per sette altri giorni.
55 After the washing, he wil examine the infection and if he finds that there is no change in itsappearance, even though it has not spread, the article is unclean. You wil burn it; it is infected through andthrough.	55 Ma se, dopo che ciò in che sarà la piaga sarà stato lavato; e, riguardandolo il sacerdote, ecco, la piaga non ha mutato colore, benchè non si sia allargata; quella cosa è immonda; brucisi col fuoco; è una rosura che fa cava, o nel diritto, o nel rovescio di quella cosa.
56 'But if on examination the priest finds that the infection has diminished after washing, he will tear it outof the clothing, leather, fabric or covering.	56 Ma se, riguardandola il sacerdote, ecco, la piaga si è arrestata, dopo essere stata lavata, stracci quella parte, dove sarà la piaga, dal vestimento, o dalla pelle, o dallo stame, o dalla trama.
57 But if the infection reappears on the same clothing, fabric, covering or leather object whatever it maybe, this means that the infection is active; you will burn whatever is infected.	57 E se apparisce ancora nel vestimento, o nello stame, o nella trama, ovvero in qualunque cosa fatta di pelle; è lebbra germogliante; bruciate col fuoco ciò in che sarà la piaga.
58 The clothing, fabric, covering or leather object whatever it may be, from which the infectiondisappears after being washed, wil be clean after it has been washed a second time.	58 Ma il vestimento, o lo stame, o la trama, o qualunque cosa fatta di pelle, dalla quale, dopo che tu l’avrai lavata, la piaga sarà dipartita, lavisi di nuovo; e sarà netta.
59 'Such is the law governing disease in a linen or wool en garment, a fabric or covering or leather objectwhatever it may be, when it is a question of declaring them clean or unclean.'	59 Quest’è la legge della piaga della lebbra nel vestimento di lana, o di lino, o nello stame, o nella trama, o in qualunque cosa fatta di pelle; per dichiararla o netta, o immonda
